SUPREME ARCH-MAGUS

Chapter 910 - 910: Sea God Tear!

“The day will come, when everyone will bow. For the lies they told… the traps they laid… the homes they burned… They will reap what they sow.”

Even Sparky felt the shift in the air. Flames flickered quietly around his shoulders as he smirked.

Princess Nyara watched him silently. Despite her composed face, a flicker of admiration passed through her.

“Let’s move, then,” she said-softly. “We have a long path. And many eyes are watching us.” Nyara hurried as she clearly know that her brother would definitely track her every movement.

With a flick of her tail, Nyara summoned a swirling portal of water. It rose like a vertical whirlpool, revealing a shifting image on the other side—vast underwater palaces, glowing jellyfish lanterns, and shadows of sea beasts gliding through trenches.

As they stepped toward the portal, Elder Sha-Drak finally spoke in a voice deep as the abyss.

“Beware, mortal. The sea does not grant favor without price. Many before you have drowned seeking its treasures.”

Kent didn’t flinch. “Then let them drown. I’ll walk the ocean floor if I must.”

With that, Kent King stepped into the whirlpool beside the Naga Princess, walking once more toward the unknown—this time, not as a vagabond, but as a storm gathering strength.

The sun had long disappeared beyond the ocean horizon, and the water had turned into a glimmering field of moonlit silk. Riding on a chariot carved out of blue corals and pulled by translucent sea serpents, Kent followed the Naga Princess Nyara as they descended deeper into the ocean realm.

Sparky, in his humanoid form with fiery red skin, hovered beside Kent with a skeptical expression.

“Where are we even going? I don’t sense any spiritual pulse here,” Sparky muttered.

Nyara, clad in flowing robes made of glimmering seaweed silk, turned her head slightly. “You’ll see soon enough. The Sea Ancestral Temple isn’t for outside eyes.”

Moments later, a sudden ripple tore through the tranquil water, and a radiant orb revealed itself from the deep sea fog—a single giant pearl, floating amidst coral vines. The pearl radiated a holy luminance and was carved in the shape of an empire—towers of jade coral, stairs coiled by sea dragon carvings, glowing murals of ancient wars, and spires etched with runes in primordial language.

The entrance looked small at first glance, but as they approached, it opened wider than a palace gate, revealing a massive structure hidden inside the pearl that extended downward like a coiled serpent into the ocean bed.

“This is…” Kent whispered, wide-eyed.

“The Sea Ancestral Temple,” Nyara said with reverence. “Built from a single Tear Pearl dropped by the Sea God during the era of Divine Sages. The surface is just its shell. The true temple lies beneath—far deeper than any mortal dares to dive.”

As they entered, Kent felt his spiritual senses go numb for a second. The water around them shimmered like gold and became thinner, breathable.

Inside the temple, murals of ancient battles between sea clans and divine beasts danced across the ceilings. Statues of sea serpents, naga kings, and giant kraken loomed in sacred silence. Pillars spiraled down to unknown depths.

There are guards at each gate, holding strange spiral conches like weapons.

Kent walked beside Nyara, his senses alert. “Now, can you tell me what this task is about?”

Princess Nyara halted, her face solemn. “No. Not yet.”

Kent frowned. “What do you mean? I came with you because you said there’s a favor you need.”

She turned to him, eyes glowing like twin azure stars. “And I will tell you—but only after you prove yourself worthy.”

Kent’s brows furrowed. “Prove myself? You think I’m not capable?”

Before the air could grow too tense, a calm yet dignified voice echoed from the side.

“Don’t misunderstand, child.”

An elderly figure walked in, his long white beard flowing like sea mist, his trident-like staff tapping lightly on the marble floor. This was Grand Elder Valtor, Nyara’s great-grandfather and the head of the Sea Clan’s elder council.

“You are a strong on, young man,” he said. “But what lies ahead is not just dangerous—it is legacy-defining. You are not from our clan. To ask for our resources and secrets, you must show the clan that your will, spirit, and strength are not beneath ours.”

Kent remained silent, watching the old man’s clear, aged eyes.

Valtor continued, “We are not imprisoning you. At any time, you can leave. But if you complete this task, I can assure you, the benefits will surpass anything you’ve ever dreamed.”

Sparky scoffed. “This smells like a suicide mission.”

Nyara didn’t smile. She spoke clearly, her voice carrying grace and pride. “I’ve already taken a risk bringing you here. My brother and even my father will object if they know. The task I want you to undertake could change things for our clan. But they won’t listen to me unless I can prove that the one I chose—you—is worthy of being trusted.”

Kent’s expression tightened. “So what exactly do you want me to do to prove myself?”

Nyara stepped closer and looked him in the eye. “I want you to survive the Underwater Divine Beast Trial Ground.”

Even the water seemed to still.

Valtor sighed deeply. “A place only the descendants of our emperors dared to enter. It is where one of our ancient emperor souls still rests, guarding the remains of a divine beast. Even our current generation hesitates to step foot there.”

Sparky’s expression shifted. “That’s madness.”

Kent looked at Nyara. “And what if I do prove myself?”

Nyara answered instantly. “Then I will personally bring your request to the Sea Emperor—my father. I’ll also make arrangements for you to meet Muni Naga.”

At the name, Kent’s eyes sharpened. “So you do know where he is.”

Nyara’s throat tightened for a second, but she kept her voice steady. “He is not easy to meet. But yes. I can take you. Only after this trial.”

Kent stepped back and inhaled slowly. All his life in this realm, he had been tossed from one power to another like a drifting cloud. Kulu Nation. Pool Academy. Now here. The burden of betrayal and humiliation burned in his blood.

“Fine,” he said at last. “I’ll do your trial. Not for you. Not for your clan. But for myself. I must meet Muni Naga and get a worthy weapon for myself.”

Nyara smiled for the first time. It was soft, not arrogant. “Prepare, then. At dawn, we descend into the Trial Ground.”

That night, Kent meditated in a secluded chamber within the temple, surrounded by glowing sea crystals. Sparky hovered by the window.

“You sure about this, Master?”

Kent opened his eyes slowly. “I’ve faced death before. Each time I survived, I grew. This time won’t be any different. Also, you are a dragon, why are you overthinking about these trails?” Kent asked back in a funny tone.

“What? No… Nooo… I’m not afraid. I’m just curious and worried about you, Master.” Sparky replied while turning his face away.

Meanwhile, one of Kent’s pet, the badger, was roaming outside as it was thrilled by the shiny pearl house of the Naga clan. It was trying its best to look for more shiny objects.

Note: Welcome to the New volume- Supreme Heavenly Monarch. The Badger who is a cunning and greedy pet of Kent will become a more active-part of the story. Suggest a name for that fellow.
