System's POV
Chapter 1068 - 1068: Anyone Who Would Dare To Hurt Her Is My EnemyHaving looked forward to a very sensual evening, Prince Aurelion couldn’t help but roar in anger when he discovered that Zia was not in the room where she was supposed to be.
Not to mention, he found a gaping hole on the ground and very obvious traces of abduction.
Prince Aurelion felt a strong urge to jump into the hole and follow whatever creature had taken his woman from him, but he wasn’t stupid.
He didn’t rule out that this might actually be a trap to force him to be away from his subordinates. However, it didn’t change the fact that he was very angry right now. Regardless of who created the hole, someone very important to him had still been taken from him.
Upon hearing his roar, the guards guarding the hallway rushed to his side and looked at the hole on the ground in shock.
“Find her!” Prince Aurelion ordered. “Mobilize the trackers! I don’t care what they’re doing right now, but I want them to search for Princess Zia right now!”
After giving out his order, he immediately asked the head maid, who had personally taken Zia to the room, and asked her some questions.
The Dragonkin lady was shaking all over, intimidated by the Prince’s gaze, which oozed with killing intent.
She knew that if she didn’t answer his questions properly, she would be dead before the sun rose in the morning.
Because of this, she told everything from start to finish.
“I changed her clothes as per Your Highness’ orders,” the Dragonkin lady replied, her voice shaking a bit out of fear. “Since the princess was sleeping deeply, I left after my work was done to inform you that everything was ready. Your Highness, I really don’t know what happened.”
Prince Aurelion clicked his tongue because he really couldn’t find fault with his subordinate.
She had done exactly as he told her to do, making him feel annoyed since he hadn’t ordered her to stay inside the room to wait for his arrival.
“Where are Princess Xynalia and Princess Laventia?” Prince Aurelion asked. “Take me to them!”
“Yes, Your Highness!” The Dragonkin lady hurriedly guided the prince towards the room where the two princesses were taken together.
But when they arrived, the two succubus princesses were nowhere to be found.
At that moment, a commotion was heard in the hallway.
One of the guards knocked on the door, informing Prince Aurelion that Lady Ristella was demanding that she see her nieces.
“Bring her here!” Prince Aurelion growled.
A minute later, Ristella appeared looking a little anxious.
“Your Highness, where are the princesses?” Ristella asked.
“Gone,” Prince Aurelion replied. “They’re not here. Someone kidnapped them.”
“What?!” Ristella’s eyes widened in shock as she stared long and hard at the Dragonkin Prince.
At first, she thought that the prince had just taken her nieces somewhere where she couldn’t find them.
But seeing how angry he looked, it was very obvious that he wasn’t lying.
“Don’t worry, we will find them no matter what!” Prince Aurelion roared. “Guards, to me! We are going to visit the Artemians!”
The first suspect that came to his mind was none other than the Artemians.
He didn’t like how Lucan and his ministers were looking at Zia earlier.
None of the Jinns would dare to defy him, so the only suspects in his mind were the Artemians, who were given a residence not too far away from the Dragonkin’s residence.
When he arrived at their destination, the Elite Knights of the Crown Prince, spanned out to surround the mansion.
“Lucan, come out!” Prince Aurelion demanded as he stormed into the house without even asking for permission.
Lucan, who already expected his arrival, appeared with a frown.
“What’s wrong, Your Highness?” Lucan asked. “Did something happen?”
“Zia is gone,” Prince Aurelion replied.
“What?!” Lucan acted surprised, and to his credit, it looked very genuine. “How could that be? Isn’t she supposed to be in your residence, just changing clothes?!’
Being reminded that the young lady was wearing the night gown that he personally chose for her to wear, made Prince Aurelion angrier.
“She disappeared, and the suspect had taken her deep underground,” Prince Aurelion stated. “I have sent trackers to follow them, and have ordered a lockdown of the city. I am here to inspect your residence to see if the suspect is hiding the princess here.”
“By all means, please search this place, Your Highness,” Lucan made a gesture for the Prince’s guard to do a detailed search. “Princess Zia is a kind-hearted soul. Anyone who would dare to hurt her is my enemy!”
Prince Aurelion snorted, and waved his hand to signal the guards to inspect the house.
The prince had personally chosen this place as the temporary residence of the Artemians, so he was certain that there were no hidden passages in it.
Several minutes later, the guards returned and informed the prince that the princesses weren’t there.
“Should I help you look for the princess?” Lucan proposed. “I can’t bear to do nothing knowing that someone kidnapped her.”
“This is a personal matter of the Jinns.” Prince Aurelion eyed the Artemian Commander coolly. “Please stay here for a few days until we have resolved this issue.”
“Understood.” Lucan nodded with reluctance. “But, do say if you need help searching for her. I won’t hesitate to mobilize the Artemian Army to find her.”
Prince Aurelion observed the Artemian Commander before bidding his farewell.
Ristella followed behind the Dragonkin Prince, genuinely worried about what happened to her nieces, including Zia, whose whereabouts were unknown.
Once the Prince’s entourage were away from his residence, Lucan smirked. This was the reaction that he was looking for.
The Prince had acted that Zia belonged to him at the party, and the Artemian Commander wished to see that arrogant face contort into anger.
While he didn’t bring many people with him to visit the City of Velmusa, which the Jinns had used as their main headquarters, he had stationed the Golden Azothrall, as well as its bodyguards near the city, so they could come to their aid if needed.
He wasn’t arrogant enough to think that Prince Aurelion wouldn’t think of attacking them or kidnapping their entourage to weaken the Artemian Army.
This was why he brought the Azothralls with him, ready to fight at a moment’s notice.
Lucan then thought that he made the right decision to add the Azothralls to his plans. Without them, the Dragonkin Prince might already be in cloud nine at this moment as he indulged with the beautiful princess who carried the blood of the Chandrean Royal Family.
‘Though we have to stay in this city for a few days to avoid suspicion. The wait will surely be a pain,’ Lucan thought.
Now that he knew that the princess had been secured by his people, he wanted nothing more than to return to Cressmont City, so he could take care of his VIP Guest.
While the Dragonkin and the Jinns were mobilized to look for Zia, Princess Xynalia, and Princess Laventia, Rocky was also moving deep underground, following Zion’s trail.
Since it shared a connection with its Master, Rocky was able to find Zia’s whereabouts.
However, his Master had contacted him a while ago and warned him that she had been captured by a Golden Azothrall, accompanied by Rank 8 Azothralls.
Rocky would be unable to fight them to rescue its Master, no matter how hard it tried.
In short, facing them head-on was suicide, so it must wait to look for an opportunity to strike before saving the helpless princess currently in the hands of the monsters, trapped inside a cocoon that prevented her from escaping.
