SUPREME ARCH-MAGUS

Chapter 696 - 696: Sacrifice of Phoenix Cauldron

After a long journey on his golden throne, Kent reached the center of the dark sea.

Kent stood at the base of the abyssal mountain, the very heart of the crimson sea of death. The waves churned violently around him, bubbling with toxic energy that glowed like molten lava. The ominous aura of the Twilight Poison of the 1,000 Hoods loomed over everything like a suffocating cloud.

The abyssal mountain itself stood out of the dark sea like the spine of some ancient beast, its surface jagged and blackened, radiating heat and danger. At its base, the poison oozed relentlessly from cracks in the stone, spreading its deathly red hue far and wide.

Kent, unaffected by the poison due to his mastery of the Poison Tome, climbed the treacherous mountain with deliberate steps. His every movement was measured, his thoughts sharp as a blade.

When he reached the mountain’s apex, he placed the Phoenix Cauldron on its uneven surface. The golden cauldron gleamed faintly, its intricate phoenix engravings glowing softly as if aware of the monumental task ahead.

As Kent steadied the cauldron, a low murmur rippled through the gods and demi-gods who had gathered at the edges of the Dark Sea. They were observing him from afar, their divine eyes widened with disbelief.

“What is he doing?” murmured the Storm God, his tone tinged with both awe and concern.

The Poison God, who had been tirelessly working to contain the poison, froze mid-spell. His expression darkened. “That’s just a low rank Cauldron… If he’s attempting what I think he is, this boy is either a fool or a genius beyond my level.”

The War God crossed his arms, his sharp eyes fixed on Kent. “Let’s see if he truly has what it takes.”

Kent took a deep breath, summoning the knowledge he had absorbed from the final pages of the Poison Tome. The formula for the antidote, which he had named Twilight Remedy, danced in his mind, vivid and intricate. It was a concoction so complex that it bordered on impossible, requiring the rarest of herbs and the most precise control over flame and heat.

Reaching into his storage ring, Kent pulled out the first set of ingredients:

1. Moonlight Petals – translucent flowers that only bloom under the light of a blood moon. 2.Crimson Veil Root – a herb that grows in the depths of volcanic craters, known for its fiery properties. 3.Ethereal Nightshade Berries – glowing, black fruits that can absorb negative energy. 4. Lunar Essence Crystals – rare gems that radiate a soft, silvery glow, harvested from meteorite fragments.

Kent’s hands moved with precision, placing each ingredient into the cauldron

“Moonlight Petals to stabilize the antidote… Crimson Veil Root to counteract the poison’s heat… Ethereal Nightshade Berries to neutralize its toxicity…”

The Phoenix Cauldron responded to the touch of these rare ingredients, glowing brighter with each addition. Flames burst to life beneath the cauldron, summoned by Kent’s Origin Nirvanic Flames. The flames danced in vibrant hues of gold and red, their intensity unmatched, as they licked the bottom of the cauldron.

Beads of sweat formed on Kent’s forehead, but his focus never wavered. The next set of ingredients followed:

5. Starlight Jasmine – a delicate flower that retains the essence of starlight. 6.Serpent’s Fang Powder – finely ground venom glands from ancient serpent beasts. 7.Phoenix Feather Ash – the powdered remains of an ancient phoenix feather, imbued with purifying energy.

As he added the final ingredient, Lunar Essence Crystals, a faint humming sound emanated from the cauldron, and its temperature skyrocketed. Kent adjusted the intensity of the flames with a flick of his wrist, his mastery over fire evident in the way he controlled their wild nature.

Outside, the gathered gods and demi-gods watched the scene unfold with bated breath.

“Is he insane? That low level Cauldron can’t withstand such heat for long,” the Storm God muttered, his voice filled with both anxiety and grudging admiration.

The Poison God clenched his fists. “He’s using the Nirvanic Flames… The boy is walking the razor’s edge. If he loses control, he’ll perish along with the antidote.”

Inside the cauldron, the ingredients swirled together, their essences melding in a violent yet harmonious dance. The golden liquid within bubbled and churned, emitting a radiant light that pierced the darkened sky.

Kent’s hands moved in a blur, performing complex seals to guide the concoction’s process. His mutterings grew louder as he recited the intricate steps.

“Bind the Lunar Crystals with the Nightshade Essence… Balance the heat with the Crimson Veil… Stabilize the core with the Phoenix Feather Ash…”

As the concoction reached its final stages, the Phoenix Cauldron began to tremble. Cracks appeared on its surface, glowing with an intense, blinding light.

Kent’s heart pounded, but he remained calm. “Just a little more… hold on…”

With one final gesture, Kent infused the cauldron with a burst of his Origin Nirvanic Flames, pushing it to its absolute limit. The cauldron groaned under the pressure, its cracks widening as the antidote inside reached its peak.

Suddenly, the Phoenix Cauldron shattered with a deafening explosion, its fragments scattering into the air. But before anyone could react, a majestic phoenix essence emerged from the remains, its fiery wings spreading wide. The phoenix screeched, its cry resonating across the Dark Sea.

The phoenix dove into the golden liquid antidote, merging with it in a brilliant display of light and fire. The Twilight Remedy—a radiant golden liquid—cascaded into the crimson waters of the Dark Sea, spreading rapidly.

The moment the antidote touched the poisoned waters, a miraculous transformation began. The crimson hue of the sea started to fade, replaced by a shimmering gold. The antidote worked swiftly, neutralizing the poison and purifying the waters.

The gathered gods and demi-gods watched in stunned silence as the antidote spread further, reaching the base of the abyssal mountain. The mountain trembled as the antidote seeped into its depths, silencing the 1,000-headed Mother Serpent that had been spewing poison.

The Storm God finally broke the silence. “He… he did it.”

“By any chance did he achieve the ultimate mastery of the poison tome?! Impossible! The destiny of the poison tome creator is mine.” The Poison God shook his head in disbelief.

Kent stood at the edge of the abyssal mountain, watching as the Dark Sea returned to its original, serene state. His body ached, and his energy was nearly depleted, but his heart swelled with a sense of accomplishment.

“Oh My God!”

“How BIG!”
