SUPREME ARCH-MAGUS

Chapter 695 - 695: I know what I'm Doing!

The Eternal Music Hall stood close at the edge of the cursed Dark Sea. The once pristine waters of the sea were now a horrifying red, moving with toxic energy, an ominous sight that caused fear to ripple through all who witnessed it.

Inside the musical hall, a tense silence prevailed as everyone gathered outside the meditation chamber, where Kent had been secluded for days.

The heavy doors of the chamber creaked open, and Kent emerged, his steps calm but purposeful. His expression radiated confidence, yet his eyes held a deep intensity that only a few could decipher. Everyone surged toward him as if desperate for guidance.

“Master Kent!” Gunji Zing was the first to approach him, her face pale with worry. “The poison… it’s spreading! The Dark Sea has turned completely red! We must leave this place immediately. It’s not safe!”

Jean followed, her voice trembling. “We saw demi-gods trying to contain the poison from spreading further, but they look powerless against it. Please, let’s leave while we still can.”

Even Fatty Ben, usually boisterous and carefree, had an uncharacteristic seriousness in his tone. “Master, this place isn’t just dangerous—it’s death itself. I’ve never seen anything like this. Let’s pack up and go.”

The Storm Knight stepped forward, his armor glinting under the faint crimson glow reflecting off the poisoned sea. “Lord Kent, I must insist. The situation outside is dire. The poison is beyond mortal comprehension. Even the demi-gods are struggling. We need to retreat to safer lands.”

Kent listened quietly, his eyes narrowing as their words sank in. Without replying, he began walking toward the edge of the music hall. The crowd parted instinctively as his calm demeanor silenced their anxious chatter. Reaching the edge, Kent looked out over the sea, his piercing gaze sweeping across the crimson expanse.

The sight before him was catastrophic. The entire Dark Sea churned with red, bubbling with toxic energy that seemed to devour everything it touched. Waves crashed violently against the abyssal mountain at the center, where the poison emanated, spreading like wildfire. The skies above the sea were darkened, as if mourning the devastation below.

Kent muttered softly, almost to himself, as his eyes fell on the poison. “The Red Twilight Poison of the 1,000 Hoods…”

The murmured words caught everyone’s attention. Jean stepped closer. “You know what this is?”

Kent didn’t answer immediately. Instead, his gaze shifted to the figures hovering above the sea—distant demi-gods, their radiant forms glowing faintly as they worked tirelessly to contain the poison’s spread.

Their powerful spells barely made a dent in the relentless advance of the crimson tide. Sweat dripped from their brows as their divine energy seemed to pale in comparison to the poison’s overwhelming power.

“This poison is one of the deadliest in existence. The Red Twilight Poison of the 1,000 Hoods. It’s a world-consuming poison—unstoppable once it starts spreading.” Kent finally said.

The Storm Knight’s face turned grim. “If that’s true, then we’re doomed. Not even the demi-gods can stop it.”

Kent turned to face the group, his expression unreadable. “Stay here. I’m going to take a close look at it.”

The words left everyone stunned. Gunji was the first to react. “Stop it? Are you insane? That poison will consume you the moment you get close to it!”

The Storm Knight stepped forward, his voice stern. “Lord Kent, with all due respect, this is suicide. Even the Poison God, who has mastered countless poisons, hasn’t dared to approach it directly. Please reconsider.”

Jean grabbed Kent’s arm, her eyes wide with fear. “Kent, don’t do this. We can find another way.”

But Kent gently pulled his arm free, his voice steady. “You don’t need to worry about me. I know what I’m doing.”

Before anyone could stop him, Kent moved like wind and reached the edge of the dark sea. The Storm Knight’s eyes widened as a burst of energy rippled in the air. A moment later, the Storm God himself appeared in a flash of lightning, his towering form radiating authority and power. His piercing eyes locked onto Kent.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” the Storm God demanded, his booming voice carrying over the chaos. “You’ll lose your life the moment you touch that poison. This isn’t bravery—it’s foolishness!”

Kent stopped and looked at the Storm God, unfazed by his imposing presence. “I know what I’m doing. You don’t need to worry about my life, Storm God.”

The Storm God’s expression faltered for a moment as he saw the calm determination in Kent’s eyes. Also, the usual respectful voice of Kent is missing.

“Kent, I brought you here to honor you, to offer you the respect you deserve. But this is not the time or place for heroics. That poison will consume even you.”

Without replying further, Kent walked past the Storm God, descending toward the poisoned sea. The Storm God turned to stop him but froze as Kent’s feet touched the crimson waters—and nothing happened.

The poison, which had melted countless beings into dust, had no effect on Kent. He stood there, as unharmed as if he were walking on clear spring water.

The Storm God’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Impossible…”

Behind him, the Storm Knight and the others stared, their jaws slack. Storm god whispered, “How… how is he still alive?”

“He’s not just alive… he’s walking on it as if it’s nothing.” The space god appeared beside the storm god and said in a stunned tone.

Kent continued his slow, deliberate steps toward the abyssal mountain, his figure unwavering even as the poisoned waters churned violently around him. Each step exuded a confidence that left even the Storm God momentarily stunned. It was as if Kent was born to confront the unthinkable.

The Storm God finally snapped out of his daze and shouted after him, “Do you even know what you’re dealing with? That poison originates from the 1,000-headed Mother Serpent that lies dormant beneath the abyssal mountain. You’ll be walking straight into death!”

Kent didn’t stop or turn back. His voice carried over the crashing waves. “I know exactly what I’m dealing with. And I know how to stop it.”

The Storm God clenched his fists, his pride battling with the realization of Kent’s unparalleled resolve. “You’re either the bravest fool I’ve ever met… or something far greater.”

Kent’s figure grew smaller as he advanced toward the heart of the poison, the abyssal mountain looming in the distance. The Storm God could only watch, a mix of awe and apprehension swirling within him.
