Kana smiled and leaned her head on the old man's shoulder. This old man might have been annoying, but he had always treated her kindly and helped her out all this time. He was truly like a father or grandfather to her. "I do not care where my origins started. For me, this will always be the place of my birth. The place where my true story began. I have many past lives, but only this life can be considered my true start.
"Where I will go from here I do not know. Even if I find myself in another dimension or realm higher than this one, it doesn't matter. A person's life can only start in one place, and I choose this place." This place held the most meaning to her. She remembered when she was reborn and was nothing more than a silly lizard girl. She remembered meeting her mother for the first time and even peeing herself because of it. Her first meetings with so many people followed after and the adventures that she had during her time here. She did not care about other things. She did not care for her past lives much but, the her of now, cherished every bit of her current life.
"I guess this is the best way to look at things." The old man smiled as he reached up and gently patted the top of Kana's head. He really did look after this girl as his own granddaughter. He hated having to put her through so much, but it was all needed.
"As the future unfolds, many new things will happen. What I will run into, I do not know, but I do know I will be together with my friends and family….." Kana closed her eyes and pictured all the moments in her past and soon fell asleep. The old man heard steady breathing and chuckled to himself as he looked at the peacefully sleeping girl. He then spoke in a low voice: "If you are here, just come out. God of Destruction."
"So you knew…." Another old man who looked much like the God of Creation appeared and sat down next to him.
"As of now, we have no reason to fight anymore. This little one is powerful enough to take us both out if she so wished." The God of Creation let out a sigh.
"I grew tired of our fight anyway. When she takes over I think it should be time for us to think about merging back together." The God of Destruction's words caused the God of Creation to turn and look at him.
"I guess you are right. We can not protect her if we are not whole." Both old men gazed at Kana with warm eyes. The only reason the old man could keep appearing in places was because they were both trying to help Kana. "But I never imagined you would help her so much…."
"I watched her closely from the start as soon as I felt her soul. She seems like someone who will not abuse her power for bad, so I see no reason not to help her. We may have split and had different views, but we are both one and the same. We can't outright fight because of this, and even while doing things in secret, we never truly harmed one another. But now we both have a common goal. I think we should make use of this chance to become one and again so she will still have someone to rely on in case of emergencies. Plus, we need to deal with a few people back in the Void of Oblivion."
"Oh? You discovered something?" The God of Creation asked.
"Yes…. The head council elder seems to want to cause trouble once they train up a few more disciples." The God of Destruction replied.
"Hmmm… let him be. He can send all the disciples they want at her, and they will all receive the same fate as the rest. But if he personally decides to take action or if he wants those in seclusion to take action, we can only step in then. I stepped in last time to make sure they did not all cause her trouble, but even then, I received many wounds…." The God of Creation sighed. He had fought with all those elders and had to make an escape. It was not easy, but he was still able to.
"Don't worry. Next time we will both go." The two old men looked at each other and smiled. The God of Destruction then stood up and reached over and patted Kana's head once before disappearing. The old man sighed as he looked up at the darkening skies. He just wished everyone could live in peace and let this poor girl be for a while.
Kana arose when the sun shined down at the perfect angle right into her eyes. She covered her eyes as she sat up and looked around. When her eyes came in contact with another set of eyes, She blushed, realizing she had fallen asleep. "Sorry…."
"It's fine. It has been a long time since I got to just sit and relax like this. But now that you are up, I must go. I will be waiting for you to reach Aurora. Your journey from here should be easy. After all, you are powerful enough to tear through the dimensional wall to fit a ship through it." The old man chuckled as he stood up. He patted Kana's head once more before disappearing. As always, he came and went as he pleased. But Kana knew that the old man cared about her.
Kana stretched and was about to go back when another figure appeared in front of her. Seeing the handsome face standing there, Kana smiled and reached up with her hands toward the man. The man took her hands and pulled her into his embrace, and hugged her tight. The two stayed like that for some time before turning to look out over the fresh greenery. "You even brought back the monsters?"
"Mmm… well, they were normally created by magic anyways, so I just accelerated their growth. Now we just need to wait for those who used to live here."
