Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 699 - 699: The Enticing Offer [Bonus]

After the half-elves announced that there would be an open competition in a couple of months to select the five best candidates to enter the Flame Tower, many began preparing.

The Flame Tower is a place everyone would want to enter and cultivate flame art if they had the chance. However, for thousands of years, it has been a strict selection by the Lords and the King.

Of course, this means that even if you have the talent but haven’t caught the eyes of the King or the Lords, you wouldn’t be allowed entry. Those selected are mostly the children of a Lord or their friends.

Most wanted to join, but because of the strict requirements, they couldn’t even have a chance to try their luck. However, this year, things are different.

The announcement of the open competition ignited the flames in all those who had given up. This year, they get to try and see if they are destined to enter the Flame Tower.

All half-elves, both in their kingdom and outside, upon hearing this announcement, returned to take part in the competition that will commence in a few days.

Currently, inside Elarion, thousands of young half-elves are in line, registering for a chance to compete in the selection.

Inside the meeting hall at the king’s palace, King Thalirion and a figure clad in black, with a hood covering their head, were meeting.

“King Thalirion, I hope you are aware of what this means… I hope I don’t have to spell it out to you,” the hooded figure said, sounding smug and arrogant.

This caused King Thalirion to clench his fist.

“Does this mean if we don’t want to become hunting dogs to the Hand, you and your kind will attack us… Is that what you are trying to tell me?” King Thalirion asked.

His aura started to rise, freezing the ground around his throne. The hooded figure remained unfazed despite the change in the hall.

“I am merely stating that should you or your people come across a human named Kent Hanson, you can catch him or kill him… see him as a threat to your people because even if he caused no trouble here, he sure will bring one.”

King Thalirion didn’t say anything. He just continued to look at the hooded figure with a cold gaze. The atmosphere remained tense, but at least he hadn’t attacked.

“In return, the Hand will give you a reward, and trust me, this reward, I am sure you will kill for it.” The hooded figure paused, letting the King anticipate what this reward was about.

“How does a guaranteed spot in the Supreme Immortal Sect sound?” The moment the hooded figure said the words, the expression on King Thalirion’s face softened.

A guaranteed spot to send one of his own into the most prestigious sect in the world… If that is true, and in this case, he knew it was true, then wouldn’t that mean his chance to earn more resources from the Supreme Immortal Sect was guaranteed?

The King was immediately won over, and it was plain as day since the frozen ground melted and a sense of calm replaced the tense atmosphere.

“Are you sure…” the King asked.

“Dead serious… Even if you couldn’t kill or capture him, reporting it to us through this communication crystal will win you more than you could ask for.

But the spot to enter the number one in the world sect is only guaranteed if you manage to capture Kent Madson or kill him should you meet him before the others.”

“So I wasn’t the only one given this offer,” King Thalirion asked.

“Of course not, this offer was given to the Elves, Dragons, Demons, and some Beastskins. So, better take this seriously and don’t disappoint the Hand.” After saying that, the hooded figure vanished from the hall, leaving a communication crystal.

The King took the crystal and stored it away.

“Just who is this Kent Madson who seems to have pissed off an organization like the Hand?” King Thalirion muttered.

The offer given to him was one he needed, regardless of how uncultured it sounded. If killing one person would get him a chance to get one of his own into the most powerful sect in the world, then he would do it.

“I don’t have to make a rash decision; I need to learn more about him before deciding. Someone who can make an organization like the Hand ask not one but multiple races to kill is not someone simple.

I better tread carefully, else I will doom my people.” After saying that, he walked away. King Thalirion was not an idiot.

He knew who the Hand was and what they were capable of, so for such a terrifying organization to ask for his help — and the help of others — then the person they wanted dead or captured might be a fascinating figure worth learning about.

If only he knew the Kent he was just warned about was on his way to his kingdom.

Kent was only an hour out of the Elven Kingdom when he stopped. He wasn’t going to the Elven Kingdom, and since the Half-Elf Kingdom was located close to it, from the direction he would be appearing, he knew he would have to pass through the Elven Kingdom.

But he wanted to reach the Half-Elf Kingdom without having to go through the Elven Kingdom.

“Per this map, I can go through the Flame Valley, one of the most dangerous places in the world. Many come there to hunt flame beasts, and even the lucky ones get rare Flame Spirits after killing some Flame Beasts…

When one absorbs a Flame Spirit, it becomes their soul flame. Those who already have a soul flame can feed the Flame Spirits to their soul flame, making it grow stronger.

“I have a little over three days to get to the Half-Elf Kingdom… Passing through Flame Valley won’t be bad at all. I might even have fun on my way to shatter people’s dreams and aspirations.”

A smile appeared on Kent’s face as he started moving in the direction of the Flame Valley. Now that he had arrived on the other side of the world, he must make the best out of it.
