Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System
Chapter 691 - 691: First Floor Battle (2) [Bonus]The Ascension stage Metal Spider truly lives up to its name.
Unlike the metal spiders at the Core Formation stage, which have 12-meter-long legs, this one’s legs stretch an imposing 20 meters, and its body is colossal, with thick, armored plates gleaming with an eerie metallic sheen that seems almost impervious to ordinary weapons.
Just looking at it conveys the message that it isn’t an easy target to cut.
Its segmented exoskeleton pulses faintly with toxic, mist-like energy, veins of glowing blue light tracing intricate patterns across its surface.
It appears to have been decorated with ancient runes, when, in fact, the patterns are merely there to make it even more imposing.
Camilla trails her eyes across its limbs, long and slender yet bristling with sharp barbs, ending in pincers capable of crushing metals.
“That is one hideous yet terrifying spider,” Camilla smirked, watching the spider emerge from the thickness of the forest.
It has multiple eyes glinting like shards of obsidian. As it moves, the ground trembles beneath its weight, sending vibrations through the floating island’s surface.
Thick, steam-like mist coils off its body, hinting at the toxic venom it can unleash. Every step it takes sends a low metallic clang echoing, a dreadful warning to all who dare stand against it.
“The rules of combat aren’t fair sometimes… A dwarf like me has no business killing such a monster, but in the end, I must because it is necessary…” The spear in her hand started to give off a powerful spear aura.
“The current you can only handle 5% of my power… We can push past that when it comes down to it, but for now, only 5% can be accessed without you passing out,” the Spear of Dawn spoke.
Camilla smiled, “I just need 2%.”
One of the three souls hidden inside the spear has awakened, making the spear a terrifying killing tool. However, Camilla is still too weak to handle more than 5% of her true power.
But then again, Camilla doesn’t really need too much of a boost since she has more than enough means to fight a spirit Ascension stage spider.
So asking for 2% is even overkill. When the spider fully emerged from the forest, Camilla flew into the air, her hair blowing back in the gentle wind.
She was clad in lightweight whitish-silver armor. The Spear of Dawn was pulsing with energy so potent that when she pointed it at the spider, it felt its body grow heavier.
Its movement slowed down and eventually came to a halt.
“Starfall Lance.”
The moment she muttered, a giant spear, about 15 meters long, appeared in the air. It was made of pure star energy, infused with spear qi.
The spider was locked down when the spear appeared, to the shock of Kent and Vexthra, who were watching from afar. Camilla stabbed her spear forward with one hand, and just like that, the giant spear in the air shot out, impaling the spider to the ground.
It couldn’t even raise its 20-meter-long metallic legs to defend itself. The spears went through its body, pinning it to the ground.
Camilla shook her head and flew away, joining the thick of the battle… It was rather unfortunate that the spider couldn’t withstand the 2% willpower of her spear.
Kent smiled slightly. “That is just cheating… Having a weapon spirit is just cheating.”
Vexthra smiled slightly. “It is common to have weapon spirits. You will start seeing more of them in the higher worlds.”
Kent smirked, but he couldn’t deny the fact that he also wanted a weapon spirit. Watching how Camilla easily destroyed the Ascension stage spider made him wonder just what she could do when she started using more of the weapon’s power.
Vexthra studied Kent’s expression for a few seconds and said, “You should probably get yourself a weapon spirit. It helps when comprehending your Sword Realm.
“But aside from that, in the Higher Worlds, where everything is competitive, you will meet swordsmen far more impressive than you are. Some will be enemies who wouldn’t blink at attacking you.
“So, having a weapon spirit to back you up will be great. Trust me, I know how valuable weapon spirits can be.”
Kent turned and grabbed Vexthra by the waist, pulling her closer. “Do you have a weapon spirit?”
“I do. However, she is away exploring the Universe,” Vexthra replied, making Kent look at her with a stunned expression.
“Weapon spirits can move on their own?” he asked.
“Yes. But not all can do that. My weapon spirit was once a Supreme who died during the primordial era. I researched her and found out she was known as the Wandering Bow Queen.
“So you see that even in death, she couldn’t help wandering around on her own…” Kent smiled, knowing something new about his first wife.
“So you are an Archeress, huh?” he smiled, making Vexthra blush slightly.
“I can also use the sword. In fact, I was once a sword immortal but had to let go of one and ascend with the other. It was a big moment for me, but eventually I dropped the sword and took the bow.”
“So, do you like to have a title… like your weapon spirit, who is called the Wandering Bow Queen?” Kent asked, but Vexthra’s blush deepened, and she planted her face in Kent’s chest.
“I-I won’t tell you.”
Kent smiled, knowing full well she would tell him eventually. But for now, he decided to tease her, so he gently kneaded her butt, making the goddess blush even more deeply.
“Hey, lovebirds, some of us are actually doing something useful, so perhaps take your lovemaking elsewhere.”
Unity said with a giggle, casting a knowing smile at Kent and Vexthra. The two of them blushed and decided to pay closer attention to the battle.
However, the few moments shared just now continued to bring a smile to Kent’s face.
Vexthra was the same.
Moments like this were all she wanted.
To spend time with her man, regardless of how limited it was. Spending time with her sisters, sharing mortal stories, and even going as far as spending time with the humans and the Bloodveins in the tower…
She was once a mortal, but now, as a goddess, she had forgotten what it felt like to be mortal, so she was relearning everything…
Thankfully, her man has more than enough people around him to help her. So aside from the sex, she just wanted to spend some time in her man’s arms as they watched mortals fight against monstrous beasts.
