Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 690 - 690: First Floor Battle (1) [Bonus]

The surface of the floating island, where Kent and Vexthra landed, was a dense forest alive with vibrant shades of green.

Towering ancient trees stretched high into the misty sky, their thick trunks wrapped in twisting vines and moss. Their broad canopies formed a natural ceiling, filtering sunlight into soft, dappled patterns on the forest floor below.

Among the giants were smaller trees and shrubs, bursting with colorful blossoms and thick foliage.

The air was rich with the scent of earth and blooming flora, mingled with a faint, metallic tang—perhaps a warning of the dangerous Metal Spiders lurking within.

Underneath, the forest floor was carpeted with a mix of soft moss, fallen leaves, and tangled roots that twisted and curled like serpents.

Occasional shafts of light pierced the canopy, spotlighting patches of vibrant mushrooms and luminescent plants that glowed faintly in the dim light.

However, while this place looked breathtaking, the danger hiding within wasn’t something to be taken lightly.

The moment Kent and Vexthra arrived, they were attacked by a 12-meter-long spider with piercing legs. Its body was compact and covered in segmented metallic plates that shimmered with a dark iron-blue hue.

Its limbs were slender but razor-sharp, ending in claw-like pincers that could pierce armor. Looking at its misty body, it wasn’t hard to tell that it was exuding toxic poison.

One slender metallic leg came close to piercing Vexthra’s chest. However, Kent was quick. He took Vexthra’s hand and twirled her like a princess while his sword appeared in his other hand, taking a fast swing.

Dozens of sword lights flashed out, cutting the spider into pieces. It was a precise strike that left the spider dying in chunks.

Vexthra fell into Kent’s arms as he slowly rose into the air with the goddess in his arms. They moved forward to observe the battle happening on the battlefield.

The team fighting on the middle island consisted of Unity, Camilla, Alina, Ingrid, Kaizo, Skoggr, Valtor, Irina, and Krex.

Kent knew the battle on the middle island would be the hardest, as it would involve multiple Spirit Ascension stage spiders and the Floor Boss.

However, he knew his team had what it took to get it done. They were some of the finest warriors he had seen, and so he knew they had what it took to complete the job.

However, while that one is obvious, the process is a little tedious. The spiders have legs so long that someone like Vari, who uses daggers, finds it taxing to get close and deal deadly blows.

So instead of using her daggers to kill up close, she threw them at the spiders, each finding its mark.

However, while the daggers she threw eventually came back to her, her killing speed has decreased considerably. That is the only disadvantage she has. The rest is countered thanks to her reaction speed. It is unprecedented.

On the middle island, Unity was firing arrows so lethal that a single shot was all it took to kill multiple targets. It felt so dreamy watching her impeccable display of archery skills.

It was like she was born with the bow. Naturally, one of her Primordial spirits uses the bow, and since she has no true name yet, her Primordial spirits are still at Tier 18, making them a force to reckon with.

Inside her soul sea, the Feisty Primordial spirit sat in a lotus posture, a Tier 14 spell diagram opened in front of her, facing her like a wall.

Outside, the same spell circle appeared around Unity’s arm as she fired one arrow after another. This display made the Feisty Primordial spirit grin from ear to ear.

The Blossom Primordial spirit, who was much more elegant, sat behind a canvas, painting an arrow. Watching her sister, Feisty, giggle whenever Unity landed a triple kill, she just didn’t have the words to describe her.

“What are you looking at?” Feisty asked, grinning at Blossom. The look in her eyes said it all; she was having the time of her life.

Blossom shook her head. “Nothing…” In the end, Blossom decided to focus on her painting. Feisty smirked and then chose to disturb Blossom.

“Are you done yet with the arrow? We need it to kill the Floor Boss… so better hurry.”

“Don’t rush me, okay. Unlike you, who likes making all the wrong choices, I actually think before doing something… anything.” Blossom didn’t even turn to look at her. She was more focused on her painting.

Feisty, hearing Blossom’s words, smirked. “You are forgetting we are the same. It’s just that I am more interesting and you are just gloomy.”

“Whatever, I want to kill the Floor Boss before the brute does.”

The brute she was talking about was Kaizo, who was like the angel of death on the battlefield. From ripping the legs off spiders to punching holes in their bodies, Kaizo was obliterating them all.

“Hahaha… This is fun,” Kaizo shouted as he jumped several meters high and landed a powerful punch on a spider as he descended, shaking the entire floating island.

“Hey Kaizo, some of us can’t swim, so better not send the island into the water,” Skoggr, the Orc Chieftain, said, making Kent grin.

“Don’t worry, I used just 30% of my power… I’m sure that won’t sink the floating island.”

Skoggr and the others just smirked. Kaizo didn’t lie, but the fact that 30% of his strength shook the entire island was a little concerning.

Camilla was making her way along the edge of the island when she sensed a powerful presence coming from a couple of kilometers away.

She immediately recognized the aura to be that of a Spirit Ascension stage beast.

“Uhm, people, I think the Floor Boss is coming,” Camilla shouted, drawing everyone’s attention. They turned to her direction, but before they could move, Kent’s voice reached their ears.

“That is not the Floor Boss. Though this is not a normal dungeon, the Floor Boss will appear when all the small fries have been dealt with.”

Hearing his words, they all nodded and went back to killing more spiders. Camilla smiled, knowing the Spirit Ascension spider was hers to handle.

“Time to get to work, Dawn.” The spear in her hand vibrated, giving off a brilliant light.

“About damn time,” the spear spoke, bringing a smile to Camilla’s face. The next second, a giant spider with an even more metallic body and legs appeared, towering over Camilla.
