"Nice one, bro. That was brilliant. These three guys are the best basketball players in our class, always teaming up to bully us. If we win this round, we get free Red Bull. It’s all on you now."
Peng Tao saw hope in Jiang Siming. Although Jiang’s movements didn’t show much technique, his effortless and relaxed demeanor when shooting deeply influenced Peng Tao.
The lanky guy, named Chen He, chuckled and said, "He made just one basket, and you’re already dreaming, Peng Tao? It’s first to five, and we’ve got a long way to go."
Chen He gestured to Jiang Siming, signaling for the ball.
In street basketball rules, when one team scores, the next possession goes to the opposing team.
Jiang Siming tossed the ball over, switching the offensive and defensive sides.
Holding the ball confidently, Chen He waved at Jiang Siming, taunting him.
Jiang cooperatively moved forward, pretending to attempt a steal.
Chen He immediately showcased his dribbling skills, switching the ball between his legs and testing Jiang with feints, trying to shake him off.
"Not bad dribbling, but if this is all you’ve got, it’s hardly challenging," Jiang said with a calm smile, standing his ground.Chen He snorted and suddenly sped up. His body leaned sharply to the left, making it seem like he was breaking through on that side.
But he quickly pivoted, forcing his momentum to the right. His sneakers screeched against the court as he aimed for a right-side breakthrough.
He successfully got past Jiang Siming and appeared ready to make a layup.
One step, two steps, jump, hook shot, ball released...
*Smack!*
A crisp sound echoed as the ball, freshly released from Chen He’s hand, was swatted down by a large, well-defined hand like a mountain pressing down on a monkey.
An unmerciful block can be devastating!
Chen He suffered a crushing block from Jiang Siming, who stood there triumphant.
"Nice! Bro, you’re awesome!" Peng Tao cheered loudly.
Jiang casually responded with a small hand gesture, indicating it was nothing, before returning to his defensive position.
Meanwhile, the audience in the livestream couldn’t hold back their excitement.
"That block was amazing! Even with that speed, he still stopped it."
"As a vice-captain of my school’s basketball team, I can confidently say Jiang Siming’s skills are next-level, beyond comprehension."
"I thought he was just posing for the cameras. Turns out he’s the real deal!"
"How is he so good at basketball too? It’s unfair!"
"With Jiang Siming’s skills and looks, he should be the NBA’s brand ambassador!"
Jiang was wearing a tiny earpiece through which Xiaoxian relayed information. To avoid any livestream mishaps, Xiaoxian transformed into a streaming phone on a selfie stick placed near the court, blending in unnoticed. ŖAꞐỔΒЁș
The block was replayed in slow motion by Xiaoxian, complete with a fitting background track. The audience was thrilled, singing praises for Jiang Siming and his "talented photographer," unaware that it was an intelligent tracking device at work.
This block accidentally sent the ball out of bounds, so possession returned to Chen He’s side.
Feeling humiliated, Chen He regained possession, determined to settle the score with Jiang Siming.
In the same spot and with the same move, he attempted to break through once more... only to face another block.
This time, not only did Jiang block the ball, but he also redirected it to the bangs-haired teammate on his team.
Suddenly holding the ball with no defenders around, the bangs-haired guy gleefully took the shot and banked it in for a score.
"Damn it! Let’s go again!"
Just as Chen He was about to try again, a group of young men in basketball jerseys entered the court.
"Clear the court. Sorry, but the school team needs the full court for practice. Go play somewhere else," a guy with a Nike headband demanded arrogantly.
"Why should we? Just because we’re fewer in number, you think you can boss us around? Can’t you find another court?" Chen He, still frustrated from being blocked twice, was already in a bad mood.
The headband guy smirked. "We saw you getting blocked earlier. It’s a miracle we didn’t come over to laugh at you. With skills like yours, you’ve got no business playing basketball. Why don’t you head back to your dorm and rest?"
"Say that again!" Chen He snapped. Being humiliated in front of so many people was unbearable.
"Enough, Er Gou, cut it out," said Huang Yuhao, captain of the music school’s basketball team. Smiling amiably, he addressed Chen He, "Don’t mind him. He speaks a bit bluntly. We’ve got an important game coming up and urgently need the court for practice. How about this—you don’t have to leave. Just watch from the sidelines. There’s a ’big name’ coming, Zeng Wending from the CBA. Think of it as giving him the space, okay?"
Huang Yuhao appeared to handle situations smoothly and amicably, but in reality, he could have stopped the headband guy from speaking from the start. Instead, he allowed the two to argue. Then, acting as a mediator, he successfully tricked Chen He, who felt flattered and willingly left the court.
Jiang Siming shook his head as he observed, thinking to himself that young people really couldn’t see through such an obvious carrot-and-stick routine.

Seeing Chen He give in, Huang Yuhao revealed a smug smile and prepared to use the same tactic to persuade the others to leave as well.
At that moment, one of his teammates whispered something into his ear, causing Huang Yuhao to immediately turn his gaze toward Jiang Siming. He then walked over to him.
"Brother, I heard you stole my buddy’s girlfriend?"
"Did he ever even have a girlfriend? You can joke about food, but not about people. Words like that can cause trouble, young man," Jiang Siming replied sharply.
Then, with a serious expression, Jiang Siming turned to one of the players behind Huang Yuhao and said, "Explain yourself. Who is your girlfriend?"
The instigator was none other than Zhang Wei, who had once unsuccessfully pursued Jiang Lan. Seeing Jiang Siming here stirred up his unresolved resentment and desire for revenge, so he asked the captain to intervene and teach Jiang Siming a lesson.
Called out by Jiang Siming, Zhang Wei was left speechless for a moment. Jiang Lan had never agreed to be his girlfriend, and he couldn’t bring himself to lie about it in public.
Huang Yuhao, trying to back up Zhang Wei, said, "Even if Jiang Lan isn’t Zhang Wei’s girlfriend, it’s a fact that you took the campus belle of our music academy. For the sake of our school’s honor, I have an obligation to stand up."
Standing at 1.9 meters tall, Huang Yuhao was slightly taller than Jiang Siming. He saw no reason to fear him.
Although Jiang Siming’s gaze was intimidating, Huang Yuhao dismissed it as mere posturing.
