[Perception of the Grand Origin] (Title)

Rarity: Divine (Special)

A skill jointly created by the Third and Fifth Administrator, instilling within it the wisdom and knowledge that they hope their recipients eventually achieve.

Before the existence of the universe, before the existence of space-time, before the existence of the Primordial Chaos, there existed the Grand Origin.

As the name implies, the Grand Origin is the source of everything that currently exists, its influence encompassing the entire universe and beyond.

Whether it be the land that you step on, the air that you breathe, or the concepts that you comprehend and ruminate on the path to power, all of it comes from the Grand Origin.

During the comprehension of concepts, it is said that if one were able to tap into the mysteries of space-time, one’s comprehension rate would be greatly improved.

And if one were to tap into the mysteries of the Primordial Chaos, one would be able to comprehend everything they choose at an insane rate, shaking their entire universe with their prodigious comprehension.

Yet, up to this day, no one has ever wondered…

What would happen if one were to tap into the mysteries of the Grand Origin itself?

Effects:

> Improves the comprehension rate of nomological truths and various concepts by 1,000%

> Improves the comprehension rate of skills and mystical abilities by 1,000%

> Improves the absorption and comprehension rate of combat experience by 1,000%

’A tenfold increase in comprehension rate…’ muttered Valyr to himself inwardly, his body quivering at the thought of such a massive improvement in action.

’A tenfold increase…’ On the other hand, Ataraxia began to slowly closed his eyes as the thought came to mind, only to then start reaching out the nomological truths of the universe as he aimed to improve his comprehension over his Intent Seeds.

Whoosh!

Though Valyr was not expecting his other identity to take the current situation as an opportunity to improve his Intent Seeds, the young man still intently watched his other identity comprehend concepts from the side, feeling the aura surrounding the latter become more solid over time.

Aside from that, thanks to the connection they shared through [Soul Entanglement], he also began to understand concepts related to the Intent Seed Ataraxia was comprehending, prompting him to wonder if it was possible for both of them to focus both of their minds on the same concept at the same time.

’If that were the case, then the improvement to our comprehension rate wouldn’t just stop at 10 times…’ thought Valyr to himself, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.

’Effectively, it could even go beyond 20 times normal comprehension rate!’

Swoosh!

Ignoring the faint train of thought his original identity was traversing with the help of [Soul Entanglement], Ataraxia focused his entire attention towards deepening his comprehension of his Intent Seeds as much as possible, slightly curious as to how far he would go in one session.

Whoosh!

Feeling as if a few days or so had passed since he started comprehending his Intent Seeds, the young man felt his comprehension over one of his Intent Seeds deepen all of a sudden, strengthening the connection he had with the world.

Motivated by this speedy improvement to his concepts, Ataraxia focused his attention even deeper than before, only for his connection with the world to further improve a week or so later.

Then, by the time he felt like over three weeks had passed since he began comprehending his Intent Seeds, the young man felt like he’d finally taken the final step before a fully-fledged Intent, his connection with the world almost as strong as an actual Intent in action.

’In just over three weeks… I was able to push the Intent Seed of Spell Control from the Nascent stage to the Culmination stage?’ asked Ataraxia to himself inwardly as he slowly opened his eyes.

Though, rather than be greeted by the sight of the three casually looking at him, the young man instead noticed Adam and Eve looking at him with knowing smiles, while his original identity looked at him with a mix of shock and disbelief.

“Do you… know how much time you took?” Valyr asked Ataraxia, his mouth slightly agape in shock even after he was done asking.

Feeling a sense of foreboding from his words, the young man closed his eyes for a bit before responding, “It felt like I took almost a month to reach the Culmination stage from a Nascent stage Intent Seed…”

“…It did take me that much time to get there… right?”

Seeing the knowing smiles on the Administrators’ faces widen at his words, the sense of foreboding Ataraxia felt intensified as he looked at Valyr for an answer.

“You didn’t.” The latter shook his head, causing the foreboding feeling he had to turn into a sinking feeling instead.

However, just as he thought that he’d taken far longer than a week to achieve a Culmination stage Intent Seed…

Valyr told him… the exact opposite of what he expected to hear.

“You took like… half of that time,” said the young man, briefly leaving Ataraxia at a loss for words as he tried to process what he just heard.

Though, when he felt like he was able to process and internalize the words that left his original identity’s mouth, he failed to find the right words to express his current emotion.

“…Eh?”

“Yeah.” Valyr nodded, getting the feeling that the differing passage in time might be a side effect of the title. “While you thought you spent over three weeks pushing your Intent Seed to the Culmination stage, you actually only took like a week and a half.”

“An impressive boost, don’t you think?” asked Eve after that, with Adam nodding in agreement.

“It’s… absurd,” replied Ataraxia, feeling that the word perfectly described the insane speed he comprehended his Intent Seed.

“Speaking of which…” Taking a bit of time to calm himself down, the young man eventually looked at the two Administrators with a calm expression as he went ahead and asked them the question that lingered in both his and Valyr’s minds.

“If we had chosen the left box, how much of an improvement would we have gotten on our comprehension rate through the title?”

“Roughly a third of what you’re getting now,” answered Adam concisely, which unsurprisingly caused both Valyr and Ataraxia to look at the two with immense shock in response.

Nevertheless, the two Administrators ignored that, reminding themselves of the main reason they brought the two to where they were in the first place.

“In any case, now that you two have a rough idea of what each title is capable of, let’s move onto the initial reason you two were sent here.”

“Indeed. It’s time to proceed with the separation.”
