63 Time was Up

Both Qi Zheng and Qi Yang could only watch the two siblings celebrating happily. Their gazes turned to Zhang Li Xue and they both sighed helplessly.

Qi Yang looked away and gave his father an unhappy look.

This man used to be very good at basketball but now, he was defeated by a young girl.

Qi Zheng noticed his son’s gaze and became unhappy. But, he didn’t even get to touch the ball and he could not complain about it.

Qi Zheng let out a cough before telling the two siblings that he would not give them another chance.

Of course, both Yun Tian and Qi Yue did not believe their father’s words. They know well of their father and elder brother’s skills. Moreover... their father’s student did not look very reliable.

Meanwhile, Zhang Li Xue watched as Bai Qi turned to speak a few words with her uncle with a complicated look in her eyes.

Although Bai Qi did not get to snatch the ball from her, Zhang Li Xue was very sure that the man was quite good at this sport. The way his legs moved as he tried to keep up with her was amazing.

However... was everything just her imagination?

.....

Zhang Li Xue decided to test him a little more.

The next round started. This time, Qi Yue caught the ball and tried to look for Zhang Li Xue anxiously. However, the ball was taken away by her father.

Her eyes widened and she stared back at her father in dissatisfaction.

Qi Zheng was quick to fall for his daughter’s pitiful look. However, he had to harden his resolve. He still had a reputation to maintain in front of others.

Sensing that Zhang Li Xue was moving toward him, Qi Zheng was quick to see an opening and passed the ball to Bai Qi. Although he did not know much about Bai Qi’s skill, Qi Zheng decided that it was better to trust this student than to let Li Xue snatch the ball from him.

Then, he would be embarrassed to look at his son again.

The only person close to Bai Qi was Yun Tian. Although he might be young, he was tall and had a sturdy build. It might not be hard for him to snatch the ball from him.

Yun Tian tried to do some trick to snatch the ball. However, in one swift move, Bai Qi suddenly ran passed him and shot the ball into the hoop.

The others were watching him in amazement.

Qi Zheng and his son snapped out of their trance and clapped.

In a short time, they managed to catch up with the two siblings’ team.

“Bai Qi, I didn’t realize that you were quite good.” Qi Zheng patted his student’s shoulder with a smile on his face. Thinking that this boy had helped him to save his face made him happier.

Bai Qi let out a cough. “I didn’t do anything much.” He glanced at Yun Tian and thought that it was too much of him to bully a young child.

The game began again.

Almost half an hour later, Zhang Li Xue and the sibling’s team were leading the match with two points.

Qi Yang, who was timing the match notified everyone that there were only two minutes left before the match would end.

The ball was in Qi Yue’s hand. The moment she heard her brother’s notification, Qi Yue started to panic. As the youngest of the siblings, she was not as experienced and would stress out easily.

Qi Yue looked around the area hoping to look for her Sister Li Xue. However, her father seemed to be blocking her Sister Li Xue well. In the end, the girl could only throw the ball to her brother, Yun Tian before the others would snatch it away from her.

However, her eldest brother, Qi Yang had intercepted. The direction had now changed to the other side.

Seeing that his son almost reached the opponent’s hoop, Qi Zheng began to lower his guard.

Who would have thought that Zhang Li Xue would run over and snatch the ball away?

The direction changed again.

Zhang Li Xue ran with the ball and focused on the ball. Their team had almost won and she was not going to give the other team a chance to score another point.

Just as she had reached closer to the hoop, Bai Qi ran over and blocked her path.

Her eyes widened in surprise.

She had not thought that the man would suddenly block her way. Zhang Li Xue dribbled the ball and do a little trick to confuse her opponent. However, it seemed that Bai Qi was able to keep up with her well.

She looked up and met his gaze. Seeing the smile on Bai Qi’s face stunned her. Suddenly, she could not help but found that she had seen this face before.

Zhang Li Xue tried to move to another side and shot the ball to the hoop. However, the ball was successfully intercepted by Bai Qi.

A helpless sigh escaped her. However, Zhang Li Xue quickly composed herself. Her thought about Bai Qi had completely disintegrated.

This was a match and she should not go easy on her opponents. Especially when her opponent consisted of two grownup adults.

She gave Bai Qi a chase and stopped him in the middle of the court.

Zhang Li Xue watched Bai Qi with determination to grab the ball back. She could not let Bai Qi and his team score another point.

At the side, Qi Zheng was watching the two of them with an amused look in his eyes.

He did not expect that his student would be very good at this sport. Moreover... the excitement in Zhang Li Xue’s eyes was hard to miss.

Instead of running over to help Bai Qi to block Zhang Li Xue, Qi Zheng stood still while tapping his chin. It seemed that he was in deep thought.

Bai Qi moved to the left and let the girl follow. Then, with a few remaining seconds left, Bai Qi jumped up and shoot the ball.

Zhang Li Xue gasped before she turned around to follow the ball. It was then that she realized that if the ball managed to get in, then Bai Qi and his team would win.

Time seemed to have moved very slowly.

The ball reached closer to the hoop before it hit the ring. It bounced slightly before entering the hoop. Everyone was watching this scene in amazement.

Ten seconds later, Qi Yang announced that time was up.

Both Qi Zheng and Qi Yang were celebrating happily.
