Amethyst fought fiercely, even with their new power, the small fry was still small fry, and they weren’t that big of a problem…

The problem came when the giant monster attacked Amethyst again, its massive claws trying to stomp over her body as she barely evaded, its draconic jaws opening, firing beams of black and purple flames, burning through the floor and turning the sands into glass crystals one by one.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Several explosions chased after Amethyst, as she started struggling as more Miasmic Undead appeared right before her paths, attacking her and overwhelming her.

“Amethyst! Run!”

“No, I cannot run! I won’t run anymore! I’m tired of running and hiding!”

“You’re out of your mind, girl! Your mother asked me to protect you, I cannot let you die!”

“Then fight with me!”

“Damn it!”

FLUOSH!

Jord’s divine power erupted from Amethyst’s hand, as a wave of divine spiritual sand wrapped around her body and hardened into a stronger armor, helping Amethyst tank blows imbued with miasma.

At the same time, Amethyst roared, opening her jaws to release a destructive breath attack, blasting several more of the smaller monsters, while the giant creature received the blow as well, a giant hole opening through its body!

BOOOM!

However, it wasn’t enough, the hole quickly regenerating back, as the monster charged against Amethyst, its claws tearing through the glowing crystals she manifested from the floor, massive pillars of crystals imbued with holy light trying to impale the creature, only to be torn apart.

CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!

As this happened, Amethyst stepped back, her Divine Aura growing stronger, as her Draconic Spirit Aura Embodiment surged, resembling a beautiful spirit dragon made of rainbow light, roaring back and fighting by her side, barely helping her keep up with everything.

But it was clear, despite their combined efforts, the monster was somehow stronger… it wasn’t just the power of Umbral, but also the hundreds of resentful sols used as the components, creating a truly terrifying monster born from hundreds of Rank 8 and above Divine Undead Monsters!

“Aaaggh! Damn it!”

Amethyst screamed, clashing against dozens of incoming tentacles and evading destructive breath attacks, but she was already showing an exhausted look, her scales could not keep up regenerating endlessly, and her Divine Power reserves were going down quickly…

“Amethyst, retreat this instant! Now!”

Jord was panicking, she couldn’t keep up with everything as just one half of her true power, despite how Amethyst believed she wasn’t doing much, she had been supplying her with Divine Power this entire time! Despite having large reserves that recovered quickly, even then it wasn’t enough to keep up with this.

“B-But…!”

As Amethyst started to consider actually escaping, it was too late, her surroundings were closed off, as she saw a large amount of Shadows and Miasma appear around her, a giant fog forming surrounding her.

“A Formation?!”

She gasped in disbelief, looking up at the monstrous being Umbral had created, despite being mindless, it came equipped with the ability to produce a Formation in the spot, quickly trapping Amethyst once the monster noticed she was growing weaker and with the intentions of escaping.

“GRAAAAHHH!”

“Amethyst! No!”

Jord screamed, covering the dragon with all she had, as gigantic draconic jaws rushed down, the monster beginning to tear apart her divine armor and then, Amethyst’s scales apart…

In that moment, both of them believed that it was over, that there wouldn’t be any way to triumph…

Amethyst’s revenge was left unfulfilled, and Jord would fall into the darkness, becoming fully corrupted with her other half.

“Amethyst… I’m sorry…! For being unable to protect you…!”

“Jord…?!”

“You were like a daughter to me…”

“Wait, what are you…?!”

Amethyst’s eyes widened, as Jord detached herself from her hand, glowing the brightest, as she noticed cracks appearing through her body.

“Run! Now!”

The young female dragon cried, as she saw the jewel glowing the brightest, pure primordial divinity burning through the endless darkness and the fog.

She was going to sacrifice herself to open a way for her to escape!

“No, I can’t lose more people…! I cannot lose you! Jord!”

Amethyst cried, everything in her life has been one struggle after another, the lost of her father, then her mother, and now Jord…

She would have nothing then.

“{Limitless Path: Heavenly Ascension}!”

FLAAASH!

“Eh?”

However, in that moment, Amethyst and Jord were shocked to see a blinding white light cut through the formation in half, destroying it on the spot, as an explosion of miasma erupted afterward.

BOOOM!

The two watched a large, tall figure descend, holding a divine sword, as he cut through the monster with immense precision and dexterity, the creature’s body rapidly beginning to be torn to shreds, falling into pieces one by one.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

As this happened, Amethyst and Jord dropped to the floor, glancing the scene while barely remaining conscious, the blinding light continued, as more figures descended from the skies out of nowhere, attacking the monster from every angle, powerful divine attacks beginning to rapidly wear it down, as the man that had appeared at first ultimately decimated it, with a powerful technique resembling a blossoming lotus.

“GRYYYAAAEERRRGH!”

The creature let out an agonizing scream, the combination of hundreds of resentful souls together, as its entire body was frozen by rainbow ice before cracking, shattering, and exploding into white flames and ashes.

BOOOMMM!!!

The explosion caused the rest of the Undead to explode into ashes as well, as Amethyst slowly started falling asleep due to her exhaustion reaching its limits, but she saw the figure of a tall man flying towards her, his voice barely could be heard through her tired ears.

“I’ve finally found you, Amethyst. It has been a while, right? Don’t worry, everything is okay now. Just sleep and rest for now, we’ll take care of the rest.”

She could swear she had heard that voice somewhere else, but she couldn’t quite remember at this point…

“Sister Jord! Let me repair you! You almost shattered!”

“Aegir?! What are you doing here- Ah, wait, we need to heal Amethyst! She’s dying!”

“Don’t worry, I got this.”

Amethyst felt a refreshing wave of light covering her body, rapidly healing her before she fell asleep.
