Chapter 6386: Dream Of The Dead
The fusion of the two geographical entities after the war birthed numerous strange phenomena and miracles beyond the understanding of Old World’s finest.
Perils arrived as well, putting an end to even primal ancestors and heaven-slayers. Nevertheless, danger never stopped cultivators from exploring before.
The big shots not only came to seek fortunes but even established strongholds and lineages in this sea.
Heavenly Sin was one of the six Redemption Grounds and a mythical immortal. In fact, he was one level higher than Zhan Sansheng and Desolate Ancestor.
After his death, his realm also fell into this sea. No one understood the details of the war, just that the legendary immortal’s abode certainly had the greatest treasures and dao resources.
Heavenly Sin’s body might have fallen into this sea along with an immortal artifact. All of these things tempted cultivators to come to the new sea.
An immortal artifact was exceedingly rare. As for the corpse, nothing could be better. An intact one with a source and remnant immortal energy was perfect for cultivation.
“There’s a unique aura here, I’m sure there is an immortal artifact here.” Alch-deer was as happy as could be after entering the sea.
The sea smelled the same as other oceans. However, desolate gods and emperors could sense an unknown power in every corner, never leaving the confines of this sea.
Li Qiye smiled and closed his eyes to sense the ripples and flows. It only took a second before he gained a full scan of the area. The sea resembled a gigantic beast floating in the ocean.
Others couldn’t see this overarching picture, only viewing it as a distortion or illusion.
A smile appeared on his face once he finished the process.
By this point, the fog had engulfed all of the sea. Exceptions included the places protected by powerful cultivators.
Weaker cultivators fell into a dream, unable to ever wake up. Some emperors and desolate gods tested themselves by entering the fog and the dream. They hoped to find an answer or the source of the fog.
It seemed alive and welcomed anyone who dared to enter. Thus, it coiled around Li Qiye and Alch-deer.
Li Qiye was unaffected like a supreme mountain. The fog couldn’t move him an inch. As for Alch-deer, he activated his supreme grand dao. Runes coiled around him to stop the fog.
Although he only had one fruit, he still belonged in the highest echelon of this world. Due to the fog spreading across the whole sea, it lacked enough intensity to affect him.
“Activate!” He used his heavenly gaze to scan the area. He saw most but a few places couldn’t be penetrated. He noticed radiant islands capable of stopping the fog.
“The Dugu, Imperial League, they’re still fine. Hmm, many other places too.” He commented.
“The dream has been around long and isn’t as potent as before.” Li Qiye raised one hand and let the fog coiled around it.
“Whose dream is it?” Alch-deer was curious.
“A dead man.” Li Qiye smiled.
“...” Alch-deer took a deep breath: “He’s dead yet his dream still has this much reach? How strong was he while alive?”
Li Qiye patted his hand and said: “We’ll see what he left behind. This dream belongs to both the dead and the living. You might enter your own dream.”
“My dream.” Alch-deer repeated.
“Dreams manifest when thoughts are looming in the mind. Thus, this might just activate your dream.” Li Qiye said.
