Chapter 307: The Last Hour.
“Nerissa.”
Lavinia muttered the name after the group was done watching Kael’s Vision. Kael also noticed that while Vitaria’s magic was able to show what he saw, it wasn’t able to recreate the emotions the Future Kael felt.
Of course, even without the emotions, what they saw was more than enough for the group to be surprised.
After all, if the Vision was indeed true, then things were much more complicated than they were initially expecting.
“Is she the same woman you mentioned before?”
Lavinia questioned.
“She is.”
Kael nodded, the hatred in his eyes didn’t fade away.
“She looked like she was their ally.”
Lavinia muttered.
“They were too surprised by the end. She wasn’t an ally, she was a traitor.”
Vitaria commented, and everyone agreed with her words.
“From the looks of it, it seemed like Father and the humans fought against each other and… we lost.”
Igni commented with a solemn look on his face.
Cirri, however, had a different problem.
“I wasn’t there.”
She complained.
“Neither was I, Imp or Nyrri. None of us except for Brother Igni were there.”
Vitaria answered.
“That wasn’t me.”
Igni shook his head as well.
He could tell he and the Dragon in the Vision were different.
“His Talent wasn’t upgraded like mine did.”
Kael explained it.
“The Future has already changed, but this doesn’t mean we can ignore what was said here. Nerathis isn’t the only world that is in danger. Creston is the same.”
“Isn’t it too much of a coincidence?”
Suddenly, Lavinia spoke up.
“Creston sensed danger at the same time as Nerathis is facing the threat of corruption. Could there be a link between the two?
The you in the Vision said Nerathis is a lesser world connected to Creston, but is there a chance that both Nerathis and Creston are facing the same threat?”
“There is a possibility.”
Kael nodded.
“Also, you said Creston sent you to the lesser worlds to grow stronger, but wasn’t that a lie? Weren’t we the ones who summoned you with Lord Feraos’s help?”
The Princess asked another question.
“This is something that has confused me for a long time as well.”
Kael nodded.
“I was told that your people summoned me to this world with Lord Feraos’s help, but from what I know, the Circle that brought me here didn’t just appear beneath me. It was under every single person around me.
If Lord Feraos was indeed the one who brought me here, then what about others? We now know that all of them were sent to their respective worlds, but if that was indeed the case, was this truly Lord Feraos’s doing?
Did Lord Feraos send them to other worlds? If yes, then does this mean Lord Feraos doesn’t just belong to Nerathis but to all other worlds as well?”
“That could be a possibility.”
Lavinia nodded.
After all, Lord Feraos was an all-knowing, all-powerful, all-present being that ruled over everything. It wouldn’t be shocking to know that he could rule over countless worlds at the same time.
“That doesn’t seem to be the case though.”
Suddenly, Imperia shook her head.
As everyone turned towards her, the Ant continued,
“Wasn’t it said that Lord Feraos was Lord of Magic Beasts? Other than Father, I did not see any other being using their Beasts in a battle.”
“…”
Lavinia turned silent.
“There is a possibility that he is known by a different name in other worlds.”
Igni gave his own theory.
“The concept of God has always been something beyond mortal comprehension. Thinking about it right now isn’t fruitful.”
The Dragon spoke.
“I agree.”
Kael nodded as well.
Discussing God was pointless.
He was never a believer to begin with. He just wanted to survive.
“What we do know from the Vision was that the past me was able to save Nerathis and return to Creston. Considering that the current me has a much stronger potential compared to me before, I can say that saving Nerathis again wouldn’t be a problem.
So I guess that is good news.”
Kael spoke with a big smile on his face.
“As for the enemies in Creston, since I already know Nerathis’s true face, things shouldn’t be much difficult either. I just need to expose her and get other Heroes to side with me.
Dealing with monsters coming from Portals shouldn’t be very difficult.”
He nodded. Compared to other Visions, this one seemed to have boosted his confidence. It was a good thing. Lavinia was just worried that it didn’t make him too complacent.
“Our enemy is still hidden. We have to be careful.”
She warned.
“Of course. I have no plans on taking it easy just because I managed to do it before. In the Visions I saw, the scale of destruction was horrifying, but now that I have this much advantage, I plan to keep that destruction to a minimum and save as many people as I can.”
Kael answered as he clenched his fists.
Then, he turned towards his children, especially Igni, and his will became even stronger,
‘This time…
I won’t let anything happen to any of you.’
With that thought in the back of his mind, Kael continued discussing his Vision with Lavinia and the rest. They analyzed everything line by line. Using this chance, Kael also showed them the other Visions he saw till now, even the one with Lavinia’s death, and suddenly,
“That armor…”
Lavinia’s expression changed as she stared at the armor the King was wearing as he stood in front of Kael.
“Hmm? Is something wrong?”
Kael questioned.
“The Last Hour.”
The Princess said a name.
“The Last Hour?”
Kael frowned.
“This armor belongs to the Church of Feraos. One of the Artifacts Lord Feraos had gifted to his people—the Last Hour.”
“What’s so special about it?”
Kael questioned after noticing how Lavinia’s face had turned grim.
“The Last Hour is said to be unbreakable.”
“Huh? An unbreakable armor? Such thing actually exists?”
Kael blinked at the ridiculous notion, and Lavinia nodded with a solemn look on her face.
“It does.”
“So that’s how…”
“That’s how he was able to defeat you and kill me.”
The Princess nodded as she clenched her fists in anger and… pain.
“To think he would go that far just to get rid of me…
He…”
