Dragon Genesis: I Can Create Dragons
Chapter 300: Brother, why did you lie?Chapter 300: Brother, why did you lie?
“I really can cast without circles!”
Lavinia’s eyes sparkled as she stared at the flames she had summoned in front of her. It was barely a little spark, comparable to the size of the flames one would see after lighting up a matchstick, but that didn’t matter.
The Princess was still getting used to all this, plus, using her will to move the very Laws of the World around her wasn’t exactly easy.
She needed time to master it.
According to Igni, there were nine levels to it, just like the human Magic System, however, these nine levels were a lot more complicated.
Lavinia still did not understand half of it, but she did note the names of these stages in her head,
Awakening Will.
Kindled Will.
Steadfast Will.
Resolute Will.
Harmonized Will.
Dominant Will.
Unshaken Will.
Transcendent Will.
Sovereign Will.
Lavinia was currently at the first Stage, where she had barely managed to use her Will to cast a small change in this World—the little flicker of flames.
“These Flames aren’t normal.”
Lavinia, who had been staring at her flames for a while, muttered with a slight frown on her face.
“These Flames originate directly from the very source of Mana, these are one of the purest, strongest flames you will lay eyes upon. They cannot be compared to the Flames you used in the past.
They have… too many reasons to be impure.”
Igni answered.
Yes, the Dragon had been standing with Lavinia for the past few hours, making sure she understood all the theory and had answers to all her questions.
Of course, Igni wasn’t an expert in this matter, so there were times when he couldn’t answer, but he did help with whatever he could.
“Too many reasons to be impure…?”
Lavinia frowned. She wanted to know what the problem was. Who knows? She might find a way to resolve some of those issues and strengthen the spells cast by the Human Magic System.
This would not just help her, but humanity in general.
“The biggest reason would be that the Elementals are not on the humans’ side. They only cooperate because they are forced to, it is natural that the quality of Mana drops in that exchange.
And this is just the beginning, after absorbing the Mana, Humans store it inside their bodies, their bodies are already a mess as it is, storing Mana inside further reduces the quality of Mana.
Some of the quality also drops when you form your Magic Circles, and since Spells are a way to make the Elementals forcefully work with you, that has some effect as well.
There are other factors too, but you will not understand them at your level.”
Igni explained in the best way he could.
“Comparing two Magic Systems is an insult to the Elemental Magic.”
He stated, and for now, Lavinia nodded. She had to help herself before even thinking of helping humanity. She had to reach a certain level and get a certain understanding of Magic itself if she wanted to change something.
With that in her mind, Lavinia began her training. She already knew the methods Igni had taught her, meditation, strengthening her bonds with her Spirits, and ultimately trying to move through the levels as quickly as she could.
After three years, she had finally started training again, this time, focusing on something no one in her world knew about.
Seeing her working so hard, Kael nodded in approval, he then turned towards his little ones and,
“I should work hard as well, shouldn’t I?
Shall we start with Ancient Pulse?”
He questioned out loud, staring at his newborn.
“Yes! I’ll teach Papa!”
Not-so-little Nyrri jumped on top of his Father with an excited look on his face. After bonding with Cirri, Kael’s affinity with Water Elements had gotten much stronger than before, becoming as strong as his affinity with Fire Elements.
Now, when he meditates, he no longer sees just the Fire Elements, but also the Water Elements because the Fire Elements no longer have the majority to keep him all to themselves.
Kael could finally learn Water Spells as well, and that is what he had been doing ever since Nyrri had come, right now however, the training was to enter the state of Ancient Pulse and learn Nyrri’s Magic.
“Lavinia.”
Kael called out.
The Princess turned towards him.
“I’ll be back.”
He stated, opening the Portal to his Sanctuary.
The Princess nodded, she already knew why he was going there.
While Kael could still summon water on his own, Nyrri’s Magic was more effective near actual Water Bodies. This wasn’t the problem when they were on the ship, but now that they were here, Kael would now need to go to his Sanctuary—that now has a huge lake to accommodate Nyrri—in order to train.
The Velmourns had already announced their arrival and explained the current situation to the people here. The Matriarch had ordered everyone not to disturb them since they must be tired after a long journey, so no one should come here anyways.
The Princess also knew that a few Ants were already around her, so in case something happened, Kael would know and react accordingly.
Kael nodded back as he stepped into the Portal.
“Call me if you have any more questions.”
Igni stated as he walked into the Portal as well.
With that, Lavinia was left alone in the room together with her little friends.
“Shall we train?”
She questioned with a light smile and,
“Krrii!!”
“Gruu!!”
“Kyaa!!”
“Brriii!!”
The Spirits jumped in excitement.
…
“Yaaayy!”
Splash
On the other side, the moment Kael walked into his Sanctuary, Nyrri jumped into his Lake with a cheerful look on his face.
The Laviatharid clearly did not like the ground much, the only reason he even comes out of the Sanctuary was because he loves his father more than the water, but he was still the happiest inside the water together with his Father.
“Papa!”
He called out excitedly, wanting his father to jump into the lake as well, but as soon as Igni walked into the Sanctuary and the Portal closed,
“Brother, why did you lie?”
Cirri questioned.
“What…?”
Kael frowned.
