Dark Magus Returns

Chapter 1217 - 1217: Key Battles Decided

With the main battle and two large forces constantly switching in terms of who had the momentum, the major battle itself seemed like it would be determined by key battles.

Rayna, Fing and Dame continued to push through with momentum but they made clear to not push too deep into enemy territory, Rayna wanted to stay close to her people so she could continue to shout words of encouragement.

A large warrior from the Light Faction had gathered their Qi into what appeared to be a giant warhammer, it had a large flat end and swung right toward her.

Holding out her weapon she blocked the strike and the powerful blow vibrated through her entire body, however she hadn’t moved from her position in the slightest.

“Rayna blocked that large attack for us, she is an unmovable force on our side!” the Demonic Faction members shouted.

The truth was the reason why she hadn’t moved was due to her boots, making her immovable.

Right after the Light Faction warrior had struck he was wide open and Dame and Fing had struck him at the side of his head.

The force knocked the large warrior straight to the ground, finishing him off. It was one of the stronger warriors in the Light Faction causing everyone to cheer in victory.

The moment both of them landed on the ground both Fing and Dame noticed something from their side.

“Move!” Dame shouted at the top of his lungs and both Fing and Dame jumped separate ways allowing for a large strike of what looked like dark Qi to split the two up, but the attack to Dame seemed familiar when seeing it.

“It seems I have been granted the task to get rid of you,” a voice said as they walked over, a strange sword with two large circles combined.

The man had broad shoulders and was wearing a clear white robe. When the others saw him they recognized him straight away.

“Cicle!” Rayna said. “The leader of the Illumination Clan.”

It was one of the Light Faction warriors the group had to worry about but even more so now because of the special weapon held in his hand.

“That attack just now, it was the same one from your friend the Dark Magus, right?” Fing asked.

“Yeah, remember what Raze said about the weapon. We need to be careful,” Dame claimed.

Although based on the information they had, there was a good chance that this was the best situation for them. Because the sword was one that copied sword techniques and they weren’t using sword techniques, it did make Dame wonder though, where did the other Light Faction leaders go to?

Beatrix had been careful in her fighting. When she was attacking, she was doing her best not to kill.

It was hard for her to see the soldiers or the Light Faction as her enemy, but the same couldn’t be said for the other side.

As she travelled through, she was cautious about using the item Ricar had given to her, careful about her Qi.

As she struck a few warriors on their legs, making it so they could no longer chase after her, she could see someone through the crowd.

“There is no need for you to fight against the others. This is who you want, right?” Impress asked as she walked forward. She took her sword out of her sheath and it was almost golden in colour.

‘That’s not any sword that belongs to the Dawnblade Clan,’ Beatrix thought. ‘It’s just as Raze said. She’s using a weapon from Alter. I don’t know what it can do, but she doesn’t know what I can do either.’

Beatrix held her almost translucent blue sword in her hand.

“You’re pretty confident in winning this fight but you’re not the only one that’s received something special. You are not a person who follows the Light Faction’s values and I will punish you for that regardless of what happens to me!” Beatrix shouted.

Oddly, there were a few people who had decided to leave the main fighting area, away from where the rest of the fighting was taking place.

It could still be seen in the distance, but almost as if they knew they had their own score to settle.

“Red, this has been a long time coming,” Zon claimed.

“It has indeed. I’ve had to face it, that you’ve fallen so deeply in love with me that even though I’ve gone to a whole other planet, you have somehow found me,” Red claimed.

“Always with the stupid jokes!” Anna shouted. “We all know what you did. Everyone in the Red Fortis army, the two of us will finally deliver your punishment!”

A battle that had started in another world was to end in Pagna.

In another area where Liam and Safa were continuing to fight side by side, they were meeting next to no resistance.

It was strange and worrying for Safa as she was sure Heino would see the impact that she was making.

Because not a single person had yet to die that was around her. Eventually, her worst thought came true as a man in white cloth was approaching them.

With his sword, he swung it at one of the Dark Faction warriors and immediately they were slain.

There wasn’t even a chance for Safa to heal him.

“He’s Kawak, right?” Liam asked. “Leader of the Aurora Clan and with the sword that can cut through anything.”

Safa had seen its skill as well. She had shrouded the man in light magic to try heal him before he had attacked, but the sword had cut right through it.

Elsewhere, Shay had decided to move through the group. She was only attacking those that were coming towards her. When she felt a strike from a spear coming at her side, she had swiped the spear, deflecting the attack and could see it was from a member of the Dark Faction.

“I’m surprised you blocked that?” the man said.

“Really? You are? You should know already that stuff doesn’t work on me because I don’t trust anyone, Heino.”

The deciding battles were being set out on the battlefield for the fate of Pagna.
