Returning to focus on comprehending the Dao of Space once again, Xuan Hao didn't plan on taking any more small breaks to check the progress of the different sect quests he had at the moment. Only intending to leave in case something threatening the sect happened or his disciples were in trouble.

After all, even though he could likely complete the two sect quests related to the blacksmithing hall and formation hall without much trouble in a short time if he really put his focus towards it, he didn't feel like it would make any significant difference when it came to his comprehension of the Dao of Formations and the Dao of Blacksmithing.

Having already completed the sect quest related to the Dao of Alchemy, he understood that the comprehension he would be given from the system wouldn't be enough for him to close the gap between the Large Success Realm and the Perfection Realm for either of the two Daos.

At most he would be able to close the distant significantly and potentially get a few insights regarding the Perfection Realm of the two Daos, but breaking through to the Perfection Realm in one fell swoop with the help of the comprehension from the system would be impossible with his current comprehension of the Dao of Blacksmithing and Formations.

With that in mind, he found it to be much better to just focus his attention on comprehending the Dao of Space for now, as the two sect quests would essentially end up completing themselves without him wasting any of his precious cultivation time on trying to complete them faster.

At the same time Xuan Hao decided to dedicate his time to comprehending the Dao of Space once again, back in the secret realm far off in the neutral territory, Chu Yang was cautiously searching through the sand looking for an opportunity.

Unfortunately, even after spending over a week inside the desert searching like the rest of the Domain Lord Realm cultivators also inside the desert, he hadn't managed to find anything that could help him breakthrough to the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm.

On the other hand, he had seen several other Domain Lord Realm cultivators rushing off excitedly after having found something while also doing their best to avoid confronting anyone while seemingly escaping from the desert in a hurry to use whatever opportunity that they had ended up getting their hands on.

The only reason why Chu Yang didn't involve himself with these Domain Lord Realm cultivators who had clearly gotten their hands on something good was rather simple, as the opportunity that they had gotten their hands on wasn't in any way unique but was a kind of special sand that could be found inside the desert that aided in cultivation at the Domain Lord Realm.

Having found some of this special sand himself, he had long since realized that although useful for cultivation in the Domain Lord Realm, it proved of little use to him in his current cultivation realm.

If he wanted to use that special sand to breakthrough, he would need it in a quantity that was equivalent to a handful, something unrealistic to gather considering that what was found most of the time was only a grain or two of the sand and in some special cases three or four grains.

Even robbing everyone who had found some so far would at most put his total gathered special sand from 10 grains of sand to a little over 100, still far from making up a small handful that would be around ten thousand grains of sand.

Of course, he could always just gather the special sand slowly, as he seemed to find some every day with his powerful divine sense scanning through the desert without any problems so far, but he didn't have more than a few months left before the secret realm closed. Far from enough time for him to gather the required amount of the special sand to propel his strength to the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm.

As for why he didn't head any deeper inside the desert like he had originally been planning earlier on…

Rumble~!

The reason for that was the was the massive sandworm that was currently moving around not too far away from where he was currently standing, a terrifying pressure indicating that it had reached the Soul Ascension Realm clearly radiating off its body as it prevented anyone from getting close to it as it moved around the desert at a leisurely pace.

Even though this sight had frightened him in the past when he first saw the sandworm that had been rumored to be an extremely terrifying demon beast that could attack at any moment, he had learnt through observation and talking with some of the other Domain Lord Realm cultivators present that the sandworm was essentially harmless as long as you kept out of its way and didn't go any deeper inside the desert.

As for the reason why so many Domain Lord Realm cultivators had wandered so far into the desert in the first place. Even risking an attack from the sandworm… That was because the special sand was more abundant the deeper one went into the desert, and this was by far the deepest one could go without encountering any real, life-threatening danger outside of having to watch out for the sandworm that might move closer every now and then.

Compared to the outer edges of the desert where even finding a single grain of the special sand a week was considered lucky, here, even the weakest Domain Lord Realm cultivator could easily find five or more grains of sand a week without much difficulty.

I will have to go deeper into the desert if I want a chance at reaching the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm before the secret realm closes…

Thinking this to himself as he thought about the current situation and how it would be impossible for him to gather enough of the special sand to breakthrough to the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm at his current gathering speed, Chu Yang ultimately ended up coming to the simple conclusion that he would have to head deeper into the desert where the special sand was more abundant if he wanted to have a chance at reaching the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm before the secret realm closed.

Rather than spending his time moving to the other dangerous locations and trying to figure out if they had an opportunity for him to reach the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm hidden inside of them, he would much rather prefer staying in the desert where he now understood such an opportunity existed through the presence of the special sand he had gathered so far.

Not to mention, even if moving deeper into the desert seemed dangerous and might result in him having to use one of the two remaining talismans from his master, he also understood that the other dangerous locations in the secret realm were likely not any less dangerous and might even be more dangerous.

More importantly, there was no guarantee that they contained an opportunity for him to reach the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lod Realm!

Instead of that, avoiding the seemingly peaceful sandworm and gathering a bit of sand seemed like a far better path forward.
