Chapter 1598: Time To Go To Avalon!Chapter 1598: Time To Go To Avalon!

{Angelic Yggdragon Princess Dreamy Breath}!
BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!
The breath was as destructive as I imagined, the caterpillars burned in agony, many of them trying to escape, while others conjured giant nightmare bullets at us.
“Huh? Let’s test this one too…!”
I quickly remained where I was standing, as my scales began glowing with rainbow light, beginning to reflect the nightmare bullets fired at me!
{Dragon Princess’ Spirit-Repelling Scales}!
FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLASH!
All spells were easily repelled back at the monsters, bombarding them with their same spells and dealing constant damage to them.
“Now…”
I gathered my energies into my claws, and leaped towards the monsters, while Katherine stayed at my back, covering me for any incoming attacks.
“{Soul-Tearing Angelic Dragon Claws}!”
With a mighty roar, my claws slashed through the monsters, unleashing a consecutive barrage of powerful attacks everywhere.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
The monsters were cut down to pieces, their purple and gooey blood splattering over the floor and everywhere else! It was pretty gross, but it felt kind of nice… to be a bit wilder from time to time.
As I attacked them, I noticed a dozen more coming from behind, firing their venom and also threads made of their own webbings, attempting to stop my movements.
But that wasn’t going to work!
“{Illusory Dream Weapon}!”
FLUOSH!
From my pink, dreamy aura, suddenly, illusions emerged, what I thought as weapons manifested, resembling… guns?!
“W-What is this ability?!”
The guns appeared one after another, then even missile launchers and gatling guns…
I was honestly shocked and a bit scared!
This has to be just illusions right?
“SHYAAAH!”
As the insects approached, I quickly imbued mana into these weapons and…
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
Countless bullets started bombarding them, piercing their giant bodies and leaving hundreds of holes, the missile launches were fired as well, exploding into larger explosions.
BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!
“E-Eh? No way…”
They were rather potent, several of the giant caterpillars died after being bombarded so much, but half of them also still were alive.
However, upon use, the weapons trembled and collapsed, disappearing.
I see, so this works like that.
This Ability lets me temporarily create any weapon in my mind, their power and abilities will be loosely based on what I think they can do, although not completely.
They will be definitely weaker than my magic weapons and are more like powerful spells.
However, the versatility of this ability is not bad!
And if I use this other ability and combine them together…
“{Angelic Dream Wood Creation}!”
As I avoided a powerful blow from one of the caterpillar’s claws and another from their tail, I quickly combined the two abilities into one.
Illusory, dreamy pink aura merged with wood, materializing into hard, pink and purple colored floating machine guns made of metal-like wood.
Oh yeah, this can be pretty interesting!
“FIRE!”
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
The caterpillars were rapidly overwhelmed, constantly being filled with holes until they collapsed into the ground one after another, and then a huge explosion came afterwards.
BOOOMM!!
One of the caterpillars exploded, dealing even more damage to the rest… Whatever they had inside to cause an explosion wasn’t good though.
Nonetheless…
“We’re done!” Katherine said. “Nice!”
She used her Wood Magic to shape nearby roots into protective shields or crush foes, so she worked quite nicely despite her limitations.
And indeed, we were done, that was the last batch of caterpillars, these annoying critters will leave us alone for a while, I hope.
“Master, your new abilities are very strong! I didn’t even know what sort of weapon you summoned before, but it easily destroyed them!” She said.
“You don’t know? Those guns and the like are human weapons, but these at the end are still temporary,” I sighed, seeing the weapons disappear. “But at least if I apply the wood ability, they can last for a bit longer, maybe another minute.”
“Interesting…!” Katherine nodded. “Now, should we continue?”
“Yes… wait a bit.” I said, storing the corpses that looked the best, and also their cores. “Done, let’s go.”
I could feel the light of the sun slowly rising from the other side, we had to hurry before the moonlight was completely gone!
We ran down into the caves, finding out the origin of what Kat felt before.
BBTTTZZZ…
It wasn’t what we expected, but it was something.
“W-What is this?”
It resembled a small glitching crack in space. It was certainly not a complete portal to Avalon, but perhaps some sort of spacetime distortion that connected both places.
“I think it could be a spacetime distortion?” I asked her. “Have you never seen something like this before?”
“No, unfortunately…” She said. “But… a spacetime distortion! It does sound possible…”
“Yeah, now… I think this is fueled by the moonlight the tree is absorbing, once it runs out, it’ll disappear…” I said. “So we can only try to get to Avalon at night…”
“W-What do we do now?” She asked. “I didn’t think there wouldn’t be anything… but this distortion, is it even possible to get through without being hurt or dying?”
“Hmmm…” I rubbed my chin, thinking. “Yes, there should be a way. Maybe if I try this…”
I pointed my hand at the spacetime distortion, as Kat flew behind me for safety.
“{Spiritual Gate}!”
FLAAASH!
This time, the ability actually reacted!
I knew it, it needs something like this or something similar to react and activate.
RUMBLE!
The spacetime distortion began swirling and consuming itself, distorting and growing larger, spreading cracks a bit more.
But at the same time, it transformed into a beautiful, multi-color gate, leading to a lush green forest, where Elayne could hear the chirping of many birds.
“T-This is… Oh wow, it worked?!” Katherine asked. “T-This is… a portal! A portal to my home, master! You did it!”
“It really worked…” I muttered. “Was it really random that I obtained Spiritual Gate?”
It felt a bit too coincidental… Whatever higher powers decided which ability I obtained “randomly” they must’ve known I would need it in some way or form.
I guess it must have been Mother Earth, or the World’s Voice assistance.
Thanks a lot… for everything.
We finally did it!
Now, I simply open a portal here using Spirit Tree Checkpoint, and I can bring everyone else with the other I left near the cabins.
“Alright everyone, let’s hurry!”
I had already woken them up with my original body and then brought them here as they walked sleepily.
“Time to go to Avalon!”
