Chapter 2101 - Mirage Starslaughter Sword Art
Tianming remembered that his scales and baleful intent had all receded to that location. He used his Plundering Eye to examine it and found a mark in the shape of a blood-colored Archaionfiend eye. “What’s this?” he asked the wondersky fairy with a frown.
“This is a darkfiend sigil, a mark of your glory. It proves you’ve passed the dangerous Darkfiend City test and obtained the city’s recognition. It’s a glory that’ll last a lifetime,” the wondersky fairy said.
“What? What’s the point of a stamp if it’ll be gone when I return to the real world?” Tianming said with displeasure.
“It won’t. The darkfiend sigil will follow you the rest of your life on your caelum,” the wondersky fairy giggled.
Tianming’s smile vanished. “They can add something to my caelum?” He smelled a conspiracy. However, caeli existed outside the body, belonging to both the world and the person. What could it do when it couldn't affect the vita?
“If that Old Man Voidback wants me to go to Voidback City, won’t I get twenty-nine marks? Is that a blessing or curse?” Tianming had always been a suspicious person, and he carried an innate aversion to the wonderians. Hence, he would pay attention to anything strange. And this darkfiend sigil was indeed strange. He touched it a bit and even used the Grand-Orient Sword to cut out some flesh. However, it quickly regrew.
The wondersky fairy was still smiling. “Master, would you like to go to Natal Hall to collect your prize? There’s hundreds of thousands of battle arts to choose from, so make sure to choose the most suitable one!”
As of now, even Ying Huo and the rest were feeling dizzy and light-headed.
The blood-colored eye in the sky was gone. Tianming flew into the sky and entered the endless black clouds. “Let’s go.” This Skydome Battlefield had strange things everywhere. After he got his battle art, he planned to not come back anytime soon unless there was a need.
“Alright, time to get the reward!” The wondersky fairy was extremely excited. She hugged Tianming’s arm and intimately brought their heads together with no concept of personal space.
“Are the wonderians crazy to set them to be so annoying? Who could still focus on fighting?” The wonderians didn’t have guides, which meant the wondersky fairies were to distract the hearts of other races. Perhaps the wonderians got better achievements thanks to those underhanded methods.
“So narrow-minded.” Tianming was disdainful.
The wondersky fairy and him returned to Natal Hall.
The wondersky fairy’s face was red as she hinted, “A man and woman, all alone. The viewport is also disabled in Natal Hall. Big Brother, if you want to celebrate, your humble servant is very obedient.”
“Move further away and don’t get in the way of my studying.” Tianming kicked her away, then clapped his hands and cheerfully raised his head.
“Ah! Waaah!” The wondersky fairy’s nose was even crooked as she rolled around on the ground, throwing a tantrum.
Tianming couldn’t be bothered with her. He looked up and saw a field of stars, as many as a hundred thousand of them, each a fullstella battle art. “Skydome Battlefield’s first city already gave me one hundred thousand fullstella battle arts to pick from. It shows their deep foundations.”
This was just to show off! Even over a hundred would have required a huge space for the selection. But a hundred thousand thousand was enough to make one’s head spin!
Tianming summoned them star by star to check the battle art each had recorded. All of them surpassed grade-nine divine arts!
“The Ninedragon Tribulation was left behind by the flameyellow divinities, but they considered how weak their descendants would be. Thus, it isn’t that high-level. If I develop the Flameyellow Imperial Star further, that imperial-class world’s true legacy should appear, right?” The important part of the Ninedragon Tribulation was the Flameyellow soul and will of the star, not its profundity or power. Thus, it was normal for these fullstella battle arts to be of a higher tier, and stronger. The Ninedragon Tribulation was just the imperial star’s key and not its entirety.
Tianming wasn’t an arrogant person that looked down on all others. He believed that the astralscape was large and had all kinds of marvels. Every race’s wisdom had something worth learning from. Thus, he was very serious as he looked through his options and chose his battle art.
The wondersky fairy could only look aggrieved and act pitiful as she sat on the ground. However, he paid no attention to her at all. “No romance in his bones at all. I’m sure he’s limp out in the real world!” the wondersky fairy muttered to herself.
“What’d you say?” Tianming suddenly turned around and affixed her with a sharp glare.
“Nothing.… Your humble servant didn’t say anything at all. Master, have you made your choice?”
“I picked it.”
“What did you pick?” the wondersky fairy asked.
“What does it have to do with you?” Tianming glared at her. The star in his hand was transmitting its recorded information to him. But it was a complex sword art and might even take him half a month just to fully commit it to memory.
A hundred thousand battle arts! Tianming had only skimmed over a few dozen before choosing one, as he had determined it was very suitable for the current him.
The wondersky fairy curiously hovered around him before revealing surprise. “Oh, you chose a sword art from the divine wonderians?”
“Can I not? Aren’t the wonderians supposed to be the strongest of the Skydome Battlefield?” Tianming asked with a cold snort.
“Of course they are. The Skydome Battlefield is a region directly administered by them!” the wondersky fairy proudly said.
“So can’t I choose it?”
“Of course you can. It’s just that the Mirage Starslaughter Sword Art is a combination of two sword arts. It has two portions, the Mirage Sword Art and the Starslaughter Sword Art, and both are fullstella battle arts in their own right. Its power is one of the top amongst the one hundred thousand battle arts here! However, only wonderians can master it!” the wondersky fairy explained.
“Why’s that?” Tianming asked with a smile.
“One person will cultivate Mirage while another will cultivate Starslaughter, and the wonderians are the only race with two lovers sharing one body. Both people must have their hearts as one. That’s how two swords become one and unleash this sword art’s true power. Finding a random girl and getting her to cultivate Mirage won’t have maximum effectiveness. No one can match up to the connection between the wonderians’ husband and wife pairs!”
