With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods
Chapter 1111 - 1111: Underground auction (4)When Lin Fan landed, he could see that the fighting here had been quite intense with how there was blood all over the place.
Even before he approached, he could smell the scent of blood in the air.
It was clear that none of them held back when it came to fighting over the items from the auction.
Though Lin Fan knew that he wasn’t too late since he had been watching over everything with his spiritual sense. He knew exactly what had been happening the entire time even though he wasn’t even close.
Once he landed, the first thing that Lin Fan did was gather mist around himself.
This mist didn’t take long to cover up the entire area, including the place where the sounds of fighting were coming from. The moment that this mist appeared, it seemed like the sounds of fighting started to fade away.
But that wasn’t strange since those people were naturally confused about why this mist appeared.
At the same time, they were worried that this mist was some kind of trap.
That was why they all took a step back to observe what would happen.
They wanted to make sure that they didn’t get caught in someone else’s trap and be used by them.
So the moment that this mist appeared, everyone backed away and raised their guards.
It was just that this wasn’t any use when they were facing Lin Fan.
When he was in the mist like this, there really wasn’t anything that they could do against him. He was the master of this domain covered in mist since this mist was formed with his Clear Water in the first place.
It only took a single thought for Lin Fan to…
“Ah!”
“Where are these attacks coming from?”
“They’re coming out of thin air!”
These water spikes that pierced through the bodies of the people inside of the mist really did seem like they were coming out of nowhere. It even seemed like they were being attacked by the water in the air itself with how suddenly these water spikes appeared.
Finally, there was someone that said…
“It’s a magician! Watch out, it’s a high grade magician!”
Once they said this, everyone suddenly pulled out some special items.
Lin Fan didn’t do anything as he waited to see what these items did, but he was disappointed to find that these were nothing more than normal barrier items. All that they did was create a barrier around the group that pulled them out.
It was disappointing because all of these barriers were weak.
They were magic barriers, but when they were converted to the level of the cultivation continent…
“Do they really think that they could stop me with Foundation Realm barriers?” Lin Fan shook his head as he said this with a disappointed look on his face.
But Lin Fan also didn’t break the barriers right away.
Instead, he let them feel confident for a bit as he stopped attacking them which made them think that this barrier would be able to protect them. Then he shattered that thought as he sent more water spikes at these barriers.
They weren’t strong enough that they shattered the barriers, but they also weren’t weak enough to be completely stopped by the barrier.
Rather, it seemed like the barriers were close to breaking with each water spike that hit it. It seemed that it was only a matter of time before their barrier collapsed and they would be out in the open.
Seeing this, all of the people that had been thinking about stealing the auction items immediately backed down.
The ones that actually had the auction item were confused.
They had seen the mist and had raised their guards like the others, but they hadn’t been attacked. They had just been standing there, waiting for something to happen.
But there was nothing that happened.
The only thing that they heard was the sound of the water spikes hitting the barriers around them which told them that there was something happening. Only since there was the mist around them, they weren’t actually able to see what was happening around them.
In no time at all, the ones that had been planning on stealing the auction item had all left the area.
Lin Fan naturally had no problem seeing this since he was the one that had created this mist. Even if he wasn’t the one that controlled the mist, he still wouldn’t have had a problem tracking them since he had his spiritual sense.
Once he saw that all of them ran away, Lin Fan didn’t waste any time in bringing down the mist and heading to the next location.
The ones that were left standing there just had a confused look on their face as they had no idea what just happened.
One moment, they had been fighting for their lives and it seemed like they would be losing the item that they had bought at the auction. The next moment, there was this mist that appeared out of nowhere and forced back all of the attackers.
None of this made any sense at all.
“Is it safe?” One of them couldn’t help slowly asking when they saw that there was nothing around them. They wanted to be absolutely sure that there was nothing there and that this wasn’t some kind of trap.
But it wasn’t as if they had anything that could do that.
So in the end, one of them said, “I’ll go check. If something happens to me, just abandon me and run.”
Before anyone else could say anything, that person suddenly broke free from their formation and ran off in one direction. They seemed like they were completely ready to be attacked and even looked like they thought that they were sacrificing themselves.
Only nothing happened.
After running for a while and seeing that nothing happened to him, that person awkwardly turned around to look at the group. But after seeing that nothing was wrong, he started running around in a circle around them.
With the way that he was running around, it seemed like he was trying to draw out whatever he thought was still out there.
However, all this did was make him look like a fool since there was nothing there.
The ones that had attacked them before had already backed down when they had been assaulted by those water spikes. And as for the person that had sent out those water spikes, he had also headed off in a different direction.
He was already on a different battlefield.
Since there was nothing that came at them, this group immediately decided to run as fast as possible. There was no telling if this was just a lull before the storm or not, but they knew that they had to take advantage of this gap even if it was a trap.
If they remained here, they would just be in a very bad position.
So it was best to leave this place as soon as possible and find a different place to catch their breaths.
With the speed that they went, they were able to leave the city and the entire area within the hour.
But that wasn’t what Lin Fan cared about.
He was already on a different battlefield.
This one wasn’t as fierce as the one that he had been on before since there weren’t as many attackers this time.
The last time had attackers from four different factions all at once.
This time, there were only attackers from three different factions.
Of course, one of them was the first prince’s faction.
The first prince was the greedy one that had sent a group after every single other faction. That was why the first prince would always be on the attacking side.
But even if they had less greed than the first prince, that didn’t mean that the others didn’t have greed either. So they also sent more than one group of attackers, but these attackers had specific targets.
There were grudges between factions after all.
Still, that didn’t matter at all to Lin Fan.
In a matter of seconds, there was a mist that soon surrounded the area just like before. The moment that this mist appeared, the same thing happened where everyone suddenly pulled back.
All of them knew that this mist wasn’t something that appeared naturally, so they knew that this had to be someone causing trouble.
It didn’t take long for them to pull out defensive items just like the others, but Lin Fan was still disappointed as these were just as strong as the ones from before. Facing these Foundation Realm barriers, Lin Fan had no problem chasing them away.
When the mist cleared, there was another group that was left there with a confused look on their faces.
Lin Fan was already gone when the mist cleared, he was already on his way to the third group.
Just like this, Lin Fan went to help each of the groups that were being attacked and he saved them all.
The order he chose to save them in was how dangerous their current situation was. He was able to save all of them, but he also made sure that they were equally injured.
Like this, all of the factions were able to take back the items that they had bought in the auction.
However, there was one thing that was on everyone’s mind.
“Just who was the person that created the mist and saved them?”
There was no one famous for using mist magic in the Kalos Empire, so they had no idea who it was at all.
