So… I have come to a very obvious conclusion after walking around for about half an hour…

There's nothing but succubi on this floor.

They were all pretty weak and relied on their seduction techniques to entice us which doesn't really work so this entire floor was of no threat to us.

The main problem was the fact that this level was a goddamn maze.

Interestingly enough… It does not look like a normal labyrinth level since I would sometimes come across rooms that looked like it served some sort of purpose.

There was one room that looked like it was some kind of generator room with machines and piping all around the room, though I wasn't sure what exactly they were powering.

Then there was another room that was… Well… It looked like a stable or something… But the things being kept inside the pens were not horses but males chained up to the walls.

I tried to rescue them until I realised they weren't even real.

Talking to them got no response and when I tried throwing a piece of rock to get their attention, the rock phased through them.

That was when I realised that these were actually illusions and maybe even traps where someone might try to rescue these 'trapped' men and then realised they become the ones that are trapped inside instead.

Just in case, I had thrown a stone at each of the people locked in the stalls to make sure they were all illusions before I had left that room.

It was the first time I found a Dungeon to look like this so I found myself exploring more of it than normal.

Hey, who knows? Maybe there's more treasures here?

Granted, they might just be lewd rewards but they're still treasure right? Doesn't hurt to have more of them either.

Oddly enough, I also realised that there were stairs around here that didn't lead to another floor of the Dungeon which was the first time I've seen something like this.

Normally, all stairs that I've come across in the Dungeon would lead to another floor but for this one, I realised I was on the same floor but just at a lower 'level'.

I realised this when I tried to check if I could change the floor of where I was going when walking up or down these stairs but they clearly did not work that way.

I wonder if this was unique to this Dungeon in particular or this was just the first time I've encountered such stairs.

As I continued exploring the floor, I encountered a rather peculiar thing along one of the corridors.

It was a door with the plaque "Manager" etched onto it.

What the hack is this? Is this the floor manager's office or something? Why the hell is there a floor manager here?

Curious, I tried the door handle and found that it was unlocked, the door swinging inwards when I opened it.

This isn't another trap, is it?

I pushed open the door the rest of the way with a soft kick, looking inside the room as soon as the door swung the rest of the way.

Huh… It's actually an office… With a mahogany desk on one side and a bookshelf and couches on the other side.

There was even a side table that had an assortment of sweets and what looked like a coffee decanter sitting on top of the table.

This was most definitely odd…

I was thinking whether I should just leave or explore the room when a certain book on the bookshelf caught my eye.

"Records of mortals captured"

Wait… It can't be right?

I stepped inside the room with my Shadow Guards cautiously, giving them the mental command to be on high alert.

Just in case, I was also using [Screened] to check for traps but found nothing so I approached the book on the bookshelf.

I very carefully slipped the book out from amongst the books and opened it up to a random page.

Oh wow… This was actually a ledger of sorts.

On the page that I was looking at, they seem to have recorded various Dungeoneers who were captured by the succubi and where they were sent. They even included when they were captured, what type of 'extraction' was being used on them and if they had died, the date of their expiry.

Now I realised… This was some kind of succubus farm or something where they capture Dungeoneers and use them as livestock. ƒгeewebnovёl.com

Damn… I've seen this type of setting in those kinds of porn or lewd games before but I never expected to find something like that here…

But why would they even need to capture Dungeoneers? Is this something that is unique to this type of monster or do more intelligent monsters also do things like this?

Oh wait… There was that time where goblins captured people too right? So this isn't anything new. It's just something I've never seen in Dungeons I suppose.

But the fact that they even kept a record of it and there's an office to keep this… It feels like the monsters have created a civilisation of sorts over here…

My eyes drifted to the titles on the rest of the books as I started reading the words on the spines.

There were even more ledgers arranged in a row on top of the bookshelf which suggested that this operation had been going on for quite a while and had already claimed a lot of victims.

Aside from that, there were some books that looked like they were written in some sort of weird language that I have never seen before.

Putting the ledger back in the spot where I found it, I pulled down one such book and took a moment to inspect the book cover that seemed to be intricately designed to be shaped like some kind of magic circle.

Is this a grimoire or something?

I flipped it open to a random page and found myself looking at what definitely looks like a drawing of a magic circle of sorts with runes decorating its circumference and interior.

There were even more of those weird runic symbols scrawled around the pages and I was wondering why a succubus would even need this.

As I continued to flip through the page, I paused when one particular page had words I recognised written at the very top of the page.

"Ritual to turn mortals into Succubi"

Wait… Don't tell me the succubus outside used to be Dungeoneers but they got turned into succubi?

I started looking through the rest of the pages that were filled with various drawings of different magic circles and more runic letters that I did not recognise.

There was nothing else that explained what this was and there wasn't a 'turning a succubus back into mortals' page either.

I placed the book aside and pulled down another book from the bookshelf, this one also filled with runic symbols and magic circles which doesn't exactly tell me anything either.

Tossing that one away, I pulled down a third runic book and started reading it as well.

This one was filled with more runic letters than magic circle drawings but I did not understand a single-- Wait…

I rubbed my eyes and looked again.

For some reason, some of the runes seemed to be transforming into readable letters right before my eyes the longer I stared at it.

I squinted and stared hard at the page and sure enough, the runes slowly morphed themselves until I could actually understand what was written on the page.

'If you are reading this, you are now cursed and you have to forward this message to another ten people or your--'

I threw the book on the ground in frustration.

What the fuck is this shit?! Don't tell me the other books are all just filled with bullshit too?!

Picking up the second book, I focused on one of the magic circles on a random page, trying to see if the runes would morph to a readable form if I were to stare at it long enough.

A few seconds passed and sure enough, the runes slowly morphed like the first one and it formed into several words that lined around the magic circle.

'Enhance Stamina, Remove Refractory Period, Multiply Output, Obedience Control.'

Ok… This was pretty much self explanatory on what the circle does…

I then picked up the first book again, staring at the runes on the page that mentioned about the ritual to turn mortals into succubi.

Very slowly, the runes started to morph once more around the magic circle and I could also read the words on the magic circle.

'Hello, Look Behind You~'

I immediately spun around, just in time to see a very well endowed succubus push the door closed and lock it with a soft click.

Somehow, she gave a very different air as compared to the other succubus that I have met so far and I knew instinctively that she was no small fry.

Well fuck… This place was a trap after all…
