Chapter 479: Guilty Spell

Zhaoyang was just mentioning anytime that popped up in her mind, so their conversation would not look so awkward. She got to the door, rummaged a little and withdrew the chain of keys inside her purse, before storming into the kitchen upon opening the door.

“If you do not have anything particular in your mind, I’ll just cook whatever I can find,” muttered Lu Zhaoyang as she flipped her hair and put on the apron.

Huo Yunting was going to the bathroom. He stopped by the door, glanced at moving silhouette of his woman in the kitchen. He scowled.

Was it me or this woman is getting more naggy each day?

Lu Zhaoyang’s filler questions at the stairs were never answered during their dinner. Huo Yunting just stuffed whatever edible placed on the table while Lu Zhaoyang observed him quietly, wanting to make a word yet she halted.

They slept soundly later that night.

...Or so Lu Zhaoyang thought.

She made a roll in her sleep, which accidentally got her into Huo Yunting’s embrace. His voice rang faintly, “Come back home tomorrow.”

She opened up her eyes slowly upon hearing the shocking line.

Well—if my return could cheer you up a little, why not?

“Do you hear me?”

“Yes, I do,” mumbled her softly as she rubbed against him, “I saw Mo Shan at the dinner tonight. This is the second time I see her. She seems to be working full time as a hostess now.”

I actually wanted to know if he basically destroyed her career being a princess of an established company but that would summon the green-eyed monster again—I’ll just make the honorable mention and let him spit the beans hims-

OW!

Huo Yunting gave her bottom a slap.

“Someone’s not sleeping soundly tonight.” He passed a glance, “She even sent herself rubbing against my chest, do you want to play?”

Lu Zhaoyang’s mouth was wide as she stumbled upon his remark. While she was figuring out a way to overcome the upheaval coming towards her thighs, a giant hand sneaked into her dress.

“Mhmm...” Hot breath escaped her lips before they were engulfed by the beast.

——

The second morning, Lu Zhaoyang pulled the blanket off her body, “Jesus Christ, Huo Yunting. Remind me to ignore you if you ever have small talk with me in midnights again.”

Huo Yunting replied, still had his eyes closed, “Try ignoring me then. I have all the ways to make you reply, like this...” His index finger wandered in the air and drew curves on Lu Zhaoyang’s body, which then pierced and circled between her crotch.

Lu Zhaoyang shouted and ran away before it landed upon her.

Huo Yunting snorted, retreating his magical finger as he swept his fringe.

When they left the apartment an hour later, Lu Zhaoyang was following Huo Yunting, maintaining a safe distance of about a meter away from him.

The alpha sauntered, as if nothing had happened the night before.

“Remember what you promised me, or else...” He said as he stopped by his car.

“Yes! I remember!”

It isn’t that hard to move. The mansion has everything. I just need to be there.

Huo Yunting got his reply and went into his car, seemingly satisfied.

Seemingly satisfied? Did I see it right?

Did he look delighted just now?

Zhaoyang was feeling peculiar, even though she anticipated her first night returning to the mansion. Nevertheless, Huo Yunting never showed up later that night. It was only until the second morning Zhaoyang saw him again at the dining hall.

“Where did you go last night?” Said Zhaoyang as she sipped her orange juice, watching her man casually scooping the scrambled egg.

“Golden City.”

THAT PLACE AGAIN?

That answer was what Lu Zhaoyang needed. She became quiet as she looked through the window, refilling her glass.

For some reason, the little gesture and change of expression casted a guilty spell upon Huo Yunting as he stopped his fork and actually replied, “Why? Were you disappointed because I didn’t come back last night? Or you were afraid that I did something naughty out there?”

“Nah, do whatever you want, big boy,” said Lu Zhaoyang flatly. Her eyes were dodgy.

Huo Yunting picked up the signal so he did not continue talking.

The reality was, he got home after midnight but he went to the guest room because he did not want to disrupt her beauty sleep.

“I still have a meeting in the morning. Enjoy your breakfast,” she said.
