Lin Mu's words were shocking to everyone present, including the servers who couldn't hide their astonishment. Only Daoist Chu, accustomed to Lin Mu's prodigious appetite, knew this was merely the starter.
"Heavens! How much is this customer ordering?" the servers whispered among themselves, their eyes wide.
"Just ten dishes alone would cost fifty to a hundred Mid-Grade Immortal Stones. If he orders all two hundred dishes, the total could surpass one thousand Mid-Grade Immortal Stones!" another server calculated quickly.
Gasp!
The other servers drew in sharp breaths at the astronomical amount. Earning just twenty Mid-Grade Immortal Stones in a month, they'd need decades of savings to afford such a feast.
Daoist Chu chuckled, noticing their reactions. "Don't worry about payment," he reassured them. "Brother Lin Mu is far wealthier than me." He added with a sly grin.
Monk Hushu, seated furthest away from the enchanting Ten Beauties, shook his head, muttering under his breath, "Amitabha, making others pay for his food again."
As Daoist Chu's words registered, the Ten Beauties' enthusiasm soared.
"Amazing! You'll get to experience the finest our restaurant has to offer," Miss Hellebore chimed.
"A real man should have a hearty appetite," Miss Rose added, her gaze lingering on Lin Mu with admiration."Master Lin Mu, a gourmand? What other surprises are you hiding?" Miss Bluebell teased, her voice tinged with curiosity.
Lin Mu smiled faintly and played his trump card. "Little Shrubby."
At his soft call, a red kitten with black stripes and a white underbelly appeared on the table. His fur shimmered like polished ruby under the ambient light, and his Yellow-green eyes surveyed the room with a mix of curiosity and caution.
"KIYAAA~!"
"KITTY!"
The Ten Beauties erupted in unison, their composure forgotten. In a heartbeat, they lunged toward Little Shrubby, their graceful movements reduced to pure giddiness.
Startled by the sudden onslaught, Little Shrubby's feline reflexes kicked in. With a blur of movement, he dodged their eager hands and perched on Lin Mu's shoulder, his fur bristling as he bared his tiny fangs in warning.
"Aww, look what you did! You scared him," Miss Rose chided, her pout directed at her companions.
"Me? You jumped first!" Miss Hellebore retorted, crossing her arms.
"I want to pet him!" Miss Cherry declared, her eyes sparkling with determination.
"I'll rub his belly!" Miss Lily chimed in, her voice tinged with longing.
The playful quarreling escalated, leaving Daoist Chu bereft of company. Even Little Cherry and Little Lily, who had been nestled in his arms moments ago, were now entirely focused on the kitten.
"Damn it! I forgot about this trick," Daoist Chu muttered, realizing he could never compete with the feline's charm.
Lin Mu, unfazed, gently stroked Little Shrubby's head, his voice soothing. "It's okay, you can play with them."
The Ten Beauties erupted with joy. "YESSS!" they squealed, their voices harmonizing in excitement. Little Shrubby allowed himself to be scooped up, his regal demeanor softening as he settled on Miss Rose's lap, her soft, silken robes a perfect throne for the feline.
Miss Bluebell and Miss Lavender took turns stroking his gleaming fur, their hands delicate and reverent. Miss Hellebore scratched under his chin, earning a rumbling purr that melted their hearts.
"Look at him! He's so happy!" Miss Chrysanthemum said, her voice filled with adoration.
Little Shrubby, growing more comfortable, rolled onto his back, exposing his snowy belly.
"AHHH!" The Beauties let out synchronized cries of delight, as if Cupid himself had struck them all at once.
While they fawned over Little Shrubby, Lin Mu discreetly summoned his other companions. Ashy, Xiao Yin, and Xiao Yang appeared briefly on the balcony, their forms blending seamlessly with the natural ambiance of the Tree Crown Hall.
"Scout the city and gather information," Lin Mu instructed. "And no trouble."
"Got it, Master!" Xiao Yin nodded, her voice calm and precise.
"New place! Yay!" Ashy cheered, her excitement bubbling over.
"Same routine?" Xiao Yang asked, his tone steady.
Lin Mu nodded. "Just like before."
The trio slipped away unnoticed, their forms vanishing into the verdant foliage of Ram Orchard City. Their movements were effortless, blending into the rich tapestry of nature and cultivation that defined the city.
Back at the table, Daoist Chu sighed heavily, pouring himself a cup of tea. "Wronged" was written all over his face, though he couldn't resist a small smile at the sight of the thoroughly enchanted Beauties.
Monk Hushu, observing the scene, allowed himself a rare chuckle. "Amitabha, even a monk can appreciate a little justice."
Minutes passed, and the Beauties' attention remained wholly on Little Shrubby. They cooed, giggled, and stroked his fur as the kitten's purring grew louder, a melody of contentment. For his part, Little Shrubby basked in the affection, his tail flicking lazily as he soaked up the attention of his devoted admirers.
The playtime soon had to come to an end though, as the servers began bringing in platters full of food. In total, there were two hundred and thirteen unique dishes, which was nowhere what Lin Mu had ordered.
This was merely the first serving after all. Even with the large table, there was no way it would fit there, so the servers brought in multiple other tables and extended their already large table just so that the platters could fit.
There was no problem about the food getting cold, or warm for some of the cold dishes, as they were all server on platters that were inscribed with preserving formations that kept the food at optimum temperature for a long time.
Even if one were to eat it a week later it would be at the same temperature and taste the same.
But this was not the end of it. In addition to the food, there were a lot of drinks too. There were over twenty types of teas, fifty eight types of wines and thirty one types of liquors.
The divine spread once organized properly made one's mouth drool just by taking a single look. It was something the mortals might think what gods ate!
