Chapter 2396 - Chapter 2396 Descendant Self’s Sword Spirit Enters the Sword Dao's Eye, Heavenly Buddha Pure Land's RiotChapter 2396 Descendant Self’s Sword Spirit Enters the Sword Dao’s Eye, Heavenly Buddha Pure Land’s Riot
In the space between Daos, where the Sword Great Dao was, Chu Kuangren and Mingyue Wuxia’s consciousness was walking on the Great Dao.
It was actually a river formed by countless sword qi and sword intent.
Beside him was a vague figure of a sword following them closely. The sword was white as jade and clear as crystal. It was actually the Descendant Self’s sword spirit.
Mingyue Wuxia used her technique to bring the sword spirit into the Sword Great Dao, and it was not a difficult task for the oldest sword spirit.
“Have you located the Sword Dao’s Eye?” Chu Kuangren asked.
They ventured into the Sword Great Dao to search for the oldest secret, the Sword Dao’s Eye, to boost Descendant Self’s sword spirit.
It was dangerous, but Chu Kuangren decided to take the risk.
The Descendant Self also agreed as he, too, was eager to be stronger.
“Soon.” Mingyue Wuxia was locating the Sword Dao’s Eye. The Sword Dao’s Eye location was elusive and mysterious. Only the oldest sword spirit in the Infiniverse could locate it.
A while later, they arrived before a vortex.
The vortex contained powerful sword qi and boundless sword intent.
The sword intent seemed to originate from ancient times.
It was sharp, scorching, and boundless. It also contained different forms of the Sword Dao.
To a swordsman, the vortex would be a treasured place for cultivation.
“This is the Sword Dao’s Eye…”
Chu Kuangren was in awe of the sheer power he felt from the vortex.
Mingyue Wuxia nodded. “This would be it. Behind this vortex would be the source of all Sword Dao.”
It was the source of the Great Dao!
The Human Ancestor’s sword was born from the Sword Dao’s source.
It represented the source and created the concept of swords.
However, it did not represent the entirety of the Sword Dao’s source, only a part of it.
“Descendant Self, are you afraid?” Chu Kuangren stroked the sword gently. The sword buzzed.
It was afraid. If it could not overcome the temperament and refinement of the sword intent, it would be destroyed. However, it was more afraid to fall back and fail to keep up with Chu Kuangren’s strength. It had been a while since Chu Kuangren used it in battle.
Chu Kuangren tended to use the Dragonslayer or the recent Human Ancestor’s sword to fight his enemies because the enemies were so strong. Only Ultimate Supreme Weapons could provide him with the firepower he needed.
Since the Descendant Self was not strong enough, it wanted to be stronger so that Chu Kuangren would use it again.
It was the first sword that Chu Kuangren wielded, and it had grown together with him.
The other weapons were powerful, but they did not accompany Chu Kuangren through thick and thin. How could it let the others seize its position in Chu Kuangren’s heart?
“I see. Go,” Chu Kuangren said softly.
The Descendant Self Sword buzzed and flew into the Sword Intent’s Eye in a streak of light.
“Let me give this young junior a helping hand,” Mingyue Wuxia said with a smile.
She shot a sliver of her sword intent into the Descendant Self Sword.
“The sword intent can protect the Descendant Self Sword to a certain extent. As for how strong it can grow, it’ll depend on itself.
“Thank you.”
Chu Kuangren nodded at Mingyue Wuxia. He then looked at the Descendant Self Sword and murmured, “Descendant Self, I look forward to your growth…”
After sending the Descendant Self Sword into the Sword Dao’s Eye, Chu Kuangren returned to the real world. He had to visit the Heavenly Buddha Pure Land next.
After all, he had promised the Devil King to retrieve her weapon for her.
…
The Heavenly Buddha Pure Land was one of the three major Human Sanctuaries of the human race.
It was a peaceful place. Cultivators rarely had conflicts with each other. Even if there were conflicts, it was just a clash of beliefs. However, something huge happened to the Pure Land lately.
The Buddhist Tower collapsed, and it struck fear into the Buddhists.
The Buddhist Tower was a unique place within the Pure Land.
It was rumored that in the early years, an ancient Buddhist cultivator in the Pure Land, committed to the Buddhist doctrine of saving all sentient beings, sought to guide and redeem even the most wicked and depraved individuals.
However, it was not easy to redeem the most wicked and depraved. Therefore, the ancient Buddhist cultivator built the Buddhist Tower within the Pure Land to lock up the wicked and depraved. He would read mantras to them every day, attempting to cleanse the wickedness in their hearts and redeem them from darkness.
It worked miraculously as many wicked and atrocious men became devoted Buddhists.
Still, most of them remained locked up in the tower, especially the Notorious Four. They were so atrocious and wicked, and common Buddhist cultivators could not get near to them, let alone cleanse them of their sins and help them turn over a new leaf.
The Pure Land refused to kill them either, so they became prisoners of the tower.
However, the Buddhist Tower collapsed due to unknown reasons, and the Notorious Four, plus many other atrocious wicked men, escaped.
They brought nothing but bloodshed to the Pure Land.
“It seems like I’m in for something big,” Chu Kuangren said with a shake of his head.
“Bang!”
Suddenly, a temple further away exploded and was engulfed in blazing flames. Chu Kuangren had a curious peek at the scene.
A middle-aged man with a big saber dragged a net of more than a thousand Buddhist cultivators’ heads behind him. He was slaughtering anyone he saw in the temple. For each Buddhist cultivator he killed, he would behead them and tie the head to the net he dragged behind him.
“Hahaha! Stupid bald men! All you do is chant nonsense and tell me to think my life through. I’ll think with your bald heads! I’ll behead every one of you and see how you’re going to bug me with your stupid mantras!”
The man laughed wickedly. He was overflowing with rage qi.
The monks were horrified to see him. It was as if he was a reaper coming for their lives.
“He’s Butcher Li from the Buddhist Tower!”
“We’re done for! He’s a Grand Dao Supreme Honorable. We can’t possibly fight him!”
“The moment the Buddhist Tower collapsed, all evils are unleashed, wreaking havoc across the universe!”
“Butcher Li, please put your saber down…”
Some of the monks cried in despair.
Some of the oldest monks sat down and started praying.
Some even tried to dissuade Butcher Li but got their heads cut off.
Suddenly, it started to rain.
A white-robed Bodhisattva holding a suet white jade vase in her hand arrived.
“It’s her…”
Chu Kuangren was surprised to see the person.
It was Guanyin of the Pan Gu Universe.
“Butcher Li, stop it!” Guanyin bellowed.
She flung the suet jade vase out, releasing a sea of water at Butcher Li.
Butcher Li grinned. “How dare a mere Grand Dao cultivator dare stand against me? Die!”
He slashed with his saber and cut the incoming wave in half.
Right before the slash could hit Guanyin, Chu Kuangren shot a sword qi forward and blasted Butcher Li into a burst of blood mist.
Guanyin was stunned. Immortal Sparks then shone behind her, followed by the appearance of a familiar figure.
“B-Brother Chu?”
“Guanyin, it’s been a while.” Chu Kuangren nodded at her.
