The winds instantly cleared and Noah's figure was revealed, his fist smoked and his left arm remained stretched from the punch.
His eyes were calm and his aura stable.
Julio's figure on the other hand smashed into the barrier, but he couldn't break it. He felt like he hit a steel wall.
The expert remained conscious. And he even managed to stagger his way until he could stand.
Spitting a mouthful of blood he let his gaze fall on the experts in the booth. Their gaze was stern and even sad.
Truly the man before them possessed more power than they anticipated. Julio was testimony to that truth. He swore his back had burst open from the sheer might in that fist.
It was unreal.
Feeling his insides tremble greatly, Julio let his mana spread until his state calmed and blood stopped flowing from the sides of his lips. He was still in great pain, but being a tier 4 expert, he knew how to handle pain.
Now that he experienced the power of his opponent, Julio was forced into logical thinking. He had not utilized the spells in his skill set, but even with the one he had unleashed, Noah had been able to bypass it fairly easily.
In short, he had to be careful. Unfortunately, his opponent wasn't one that tactics could properly work on.
"I see you're okay," Noah sounded from in front of Julio as the bang associated with the shattering sound barrier only occurred when the tall figure of his opponent reached him.
"When?--" Julio muttered, stunned, right before a kick slammed into his face and sent him flying sideways. He dug through the ground with his body, creating a trail while he bounced up and down.
Noah turned into a silver streak as he arrived on the flying man's path.
The world slowed down as he caught hold of the expert and smashed into the ground before hurling him toward another point on the field in one smooth series of movements.
Julio's impact on the ground caused a small crater to spread, even if he bounced off his initial landing point.
The world fell silent at that event. Noah reached the expert in the next second and another round of thrashing unfolded.
Julio was rendered unable to do much.
Each time he tried to call upon his mana he would be distracted by the merciless hits Noah unleashed.
Soon it became pitiful and Nora had to come forward to plead that Noah stopped.
He had been overwhelming. And did so casually at that.
Noah left the man with barely any teeth in. His face had swollen badly from the hits but he was still in one piece, just as promised. He had even lost consciousness at some point.
Walking into the tunnel led by one of the four that had met him in the sky. They held a different type of air now that they had seen a bit of his power on display.
Mostly his unholy speed was enough to put him as a hard opponent. Not to even begin with his weird power.
In truth, they all could sense his stark difference, but that was only due to his nature. He felt distant, from humanity.
But also his power. They could hardly sense it, only that their instincts trembled at his presence. All they knew was he was within the fourth tier and in the lower stage.
Besides, his skill set had remained mostly unknown. There were a few others there with wind affinity, and it still felt surprising to find that he was a dual affinity holder.
Noah was led through the tunnel, up a flight of stairs, and into another hallway, this one led to a wide room that had seats in it. Nora had ordered her to do so. She would come to meet him soon.
"How long have you been here?" Noah asked the middle-aged lady, his words managed to startle her, but her experience made her able to keep that reaction inwardly.
"Only seven years," She stated. "I'm relatively new here. The others have been here for over a decade."
"Have you grown to like it?' He enquired getting on to something.
"Yes," She replied. Taking a seat. The seats within the room were lined side by side in a circle. A wide circular table existing at the center of that circle.
"They have been nice, and the people of this city are also awesome. Some of the lower leveled ones even see me as a mentor. That probably changes when they reach this level," She explained with a soft smile, masking her discomfort with memories.
"I understand," Noah stated, falling into a bit of thought.
"How heavy has the situation of the war been? Is this place always so tense?" Asked Noah, raising his gaze to stare into the brown eyes of the lady before him. She shifted her gaze.
"The war has been brutal. I was deployed from a city that had been overtaken by the elves. I managed to escape after the orders came in. The others weren't so lucky," Her gaze grew dark and solemn.
"The city isn't usually tense. Even with a large group very close by, lady Nora has managed to reduce the tension that eventual raids have brought. She's been here for the past 2 decades, and most of the now-grown people know her as a leader. Or even their queen, and she loves them just as much. But this might be the limits of her power," She explained with a heavy sigh.
She felt inclined to blame the person before her. He was the reason. But blaming him wouldn't change anything. The situation had arrived and there was nothing they could do apart from the face it.
"I hope they aren't wiped out. It would be a shame," She sighed again. Her name was Fera.
Noah nodded and both individuals fell into silence until the sound of footsteps reached their ears. The tiled nature of the floor allowed for any hard object to make lots of sounds.
Lady Nora and the others apart from Julio strode in.
"We have received another message," She announced, even if her expression remained dark and stern.
