The rules of inscriptions had long since changed for Noah ever since he started the usage of speed essence. For this reason, he had not been capable of getting or learning anything from the inscription books he had gotten from Sir Jon. He wondered how that man was now.
Speed essence unlike mana; from what Noah saw in his newly gained memories had a will of its own as a Speedling advanced in the various tiers of power. One thing that seemed to be common in the universe. Simply different standards.
Due to the unique nature of the speed forces energy, Noah had to come about inscriptions with a different mindset.
'Agree with me,' he articulated inwardly. Speaking to the very energy that existed in his core. Noah had formerly known of this truth, but he had relied on the world's methods. Inevitably failing him.
Had he been a normal Speedling, further persuasion or deeper knowledge would have been required. But now that his very existence was recognized as the child of speed, things immediately kicked into action.
Staring at the many invisible lines upon the veil, Noah could see that the very world backed that event up. Whoever those immortals were, they had a close connection to Cregar. But he could mess it up. After that, he would move on to the main event.
He had concluded that if no one had come to assist her after that battle, then no one would.
Setting various rules and making many decisions, Noah created something relatively complex enough to affect the powerful array of inscriptions before him.
Apart from the process of coercion needed and the different methods of applying a person's will, the rules of the inscription were relatively similar compared to those on Cregar.
Strands of energy ready to carry out the set will of the creator.
The inscriptions on the veil and around it were triggered when a body considered foreign by the veiled figure became too close to it.
Its level being within the fifth tier, it was capable of remaining undamaged even in the barrage of attacks it had faced.
Noah could only see all those now that he focused.
Opening his palm, Noah watched raw essence seep out of his skin to float before him. The lady had fallen silent after his question. It had only been moments after he asked after all. His level of processing had reached stunning levels now.
The multicolored mass of soul energy floated out of his mind at that point. It remained more efficient to place his will in that mass.
The droplet of soul energy merged with the mass of silver essence and it trembled violently. Fortunately, the essence agreed to allow those rules and soon the shaking stopped. The mass was ready to be shaped.
Noah did the usual. He stretched the mass into thin lines and began weaving it into a series of linear-based shapes. Squares triangles rectangles. Basic stuff.
All he required was as many constructs with the meaning he desired. And what of course was his will? He willed those lines to make transparent any surface they touched. His understanding of light helped there.
For reference to his creation. Noah allowed a certain silver square featuring inner squares to touch the ground below him.
Triggering its activation he watched the surface tremble like water and the world's light twisted, bent, and intensified, piercing the surface to reveal the things below.
pαndα`noνɐ1--сoМ Its effect could only go as far as 50m deep, but it was enough.
It looked like Noah stood on glass even if the properties of the earth remained. Only the inscriptions generated that event.
When the inscription ran out of energy things would return to normal.
It felt too easy. But only thanks to Ersha's deep understanding and memories could he achieve that. Normally a few decades would have to pass before he came to that level of efficiency.
The event startled the lady, but Noah went ahead and placed the twenty shapes on her face. Some of them directly dispersed due to the veil's nature. But all that was required was a second. And that time came.
Only five of his constructs were capable of landing on the veil, and a beam of light instantly erupted out of the lady's face.
The inscription on her veil repelled the penetration of light which allowed transparency, while Noah's inscriptions were made to intensify that event.
Noah nodded at that event. He wished he could study the inscriptions that made the veil, but even his mental waves crumbled when they got too close. He could only work with a hunch.
The lady screamed as the event instantly blinded her. Fortunately, her inscriptions quickly combated Noah's, and things returned to normal a few moments later.
Noah remained unfazed, however. Although only a few seconds had been required to achieve that event he was ready to leave that area and understand the world. It had been decades since he left after all.
She voiced curses at him, but he could only shake his head and place his hand on her chest.
The veil stopped any sort of uncovering, but it didn't protect her mind. Being a Dark Speedling had allowed a weird ability, one that Ersha had utilized many times in her life.
The ability to infiltrate a person's mind and steal memories by devouring their soul core.
A technique that could quite well lead to his death. The only requirement was that the person about to be infiltrated remained weaker than him. The technique resembled the one that had been used to check his memories at the gate of the dragon claw city. Only this one worked by devouring the person's mind as a whole.
His situation didn't exactly meet that requirement, but he understood that he could reach a significant portion before he suffered any damages. He could lose memories of what he was about to do, but he did it anyway.
Noah's eyes blazed with shining intensity as speed essence moved to further empower his mind, Noah made his mental waves seep into her body carried by the silver energy of essence.
Her anatomy unfolded in his mind, but he went forward for the shining blue light towards her head.
The instant he reached it, the ability was activated and Noah felt his focus twist and turn.
Her soul realm attacked him. A mental battle unfolded at that point. But Noah's consciousness featured just the right amount of help to get him through.
A wide island unfolded in his consciousness at that point. The lady went limp as the whole of her focus went to destroying the invader.
Silver blood flowed out of Noah's nose and eyes at that point. He would need rest after that. She was stronger than he thought.
His violent mental waves reached her blue spherical core and as soon as they came in contact with it a huge chunk vanished. Eaten up by him.
The lady let out a thunderous scream of unimaginable agony before going eerily silent. She died instantly.
