Although Leon didn't want to rely on tools because he could lose them, he decided to create some equipment made of mithril instead of just hiding them inside his clothes. He did that because he didn't have time to waste. Right at the moment, he was facing enemies that had a lot of mana, but eventually, Leon would meet monsters like ogres again.

"Walking using equipment only made of mithril is a pain, but I guess it can't be helped since those elementals disappear once they die."

Leon was wearing bracers, boots, breastplate, and a helmet made of mithril. The weight of those combined was equal to fifty kilograms, so after one week draining their mana, Leon decided to enter the dungeon.

The first enemy Leon faced inside the dungeon was a Fire Elemental, the creature pointed both hands toward Leon, but he moved faster and shot several Frost Waves. The small projectiles flew toward the beast and instantly froze the creature when it hit. However, soon it started to melt... the level of the skill was slow, after all. However, Leon had been waiting for that. The water decreased the monster's fire and amplified Leon's Thunder Ray. The creature trembled while it was being electrocuted, but soon evaporated without causing a single scratch in Leon.

"Killing them is much easier... Well, it's not like I have any choice but to do that in a confined space."

Leon decided to drain their mana later because it was too dangerous to get too close to them inside the dungeon. Leon used a similar strategy to defeat the Frost Elemental, after using the Heat Wave to surprise and annoy the enemy, he covered the creatures with a thick layer of earth. After that, Leon melts the creature by combining the layer of earth with his Flamethrower. The monster could extinguish the fire, but not magma, at least not fast enough.

"I wonder why they don't have cores... they kind of remind me of golems."

The elementals were pretty chill creatures. They didn't destroy everything on sight... at least not intentionally. They only looked for the enemies and didn't show any signs of emotions... if anything, they were like improved versions of Leon's lesser spirits. However, it was clear that wasn't the case, Leon could only summon several spirits, as long as they weren't from the same element.

"Since they die without leaving anything behind, they weren't created by using something as a catalyst... Yep, I don't understand the logic behind it, at all."

Although they had different magic properties, the same strategy worked well on the Thunder Elementals. In fact, it was even easier to defeat them. Leon just had to create a very thick layer of earth around them. The monster would try to destroy it using its elemental properties, but it would only damage itself since the earth would eventually become magma. To speed up things a little bit, Leon used Flamethrower.

"Even though they also are monsters that came from a world that is on the third stage of assimilation, they can't even be compared to angels..."

Although his skills were leveling up nicely, Leon was already thinking about the new ones he should practice. However, considering that he already had some skills under level thirty and now he was facing elemental creatures, he decided to level up his weakest elemental spells first. Although the cost was slow, the damage would increase due to the elemental compatibility... in fact, it was the perfect moment to do that.

"Well... first, I must see how things are on the other side and then secure the surroundings."

It didn't take long for Leon to find the purple crystal, and to keep his momentum. He decided to touch the crystal. Leon hesitated a little bit, even if he had taken his time to do it, nothing would change, but Leon couldn't help but feel like he made a mistake after seeing a horde of elementals around him.

"Oh, crap..."

Leon didn't know if all of those would go to Earth or if that wasn't the case, why were they there? However, it didn't matter... it also wasn't time to level up his low-level skills, Leon attacked those creatures using Plasma Arrows because he shouldn't give them any chance to attack.

...

Fast Conjuration, Plasma Arrow, and Mana-Eater kept him alive while at the same time, exploded the creatures that finally noticed his presence and turned around to attack Leon. Fortunately, the Plasma Arrows were so powerful that they hit three or four enemies before they finally lost power and stopped.

In just a matter of a few minutes, Leon killed thousands of elementals. Although he was already used to the tension, he couldn't help but fall on the ground when the last elemental finally exploded.

"Phew... that scared the crap out of me... I really need some spells to summon creatures, something more convenient than lesser spirits."
