Chapter 16: Dekan Started Getting Dirty

Cornelia did not hesitate upon receiving the answered test papers. She raised her hand to indicate to the examiners that she wanted to hand in her exam.

Her actions shocked not only the other challengers, it also shocked the demon students.

It has only been a dozen or so minutes since the test began, yet she’s already handing in her exam papers?

Cornelia was not panicking at all. In fact, she was feeling a bit joyous.

She had never experienced such a thing before.

Never did she imagine that she would one day be able to hand in her test papers ahead of time.

The two examiners immediately noticed Cornelia. They seemed to both want to walk toward her.

The more fierce looking of the two was closer to Cornelia.

Thus, the other examiner could only click his tongue and give up on approaching Cornelia.

The examiner walked over to Cornelia’s table and snatched away her test papers. With an evil grin, he started to review the answers.

He was looking forward to being able to kill this little demon.

No student in this school could possibly finish the test in a dozen minutes.

To hand in their test this quickly would be an act of suicide.

Of course, he must still do things according to formality.

He must first determine that the students’ test papers failed to reach 60 points in order to justify himself from killing them.

Else, he would’ve violated the school rules and incite the killing intent of the school’s headmaster.

The school’s headmaster was someone who eyed the examiners like preys.

As the examiner continued to review the answers, his brows started to gradually narrow. It was as if he was doubting his life.

The answers were… correct, correct, correct, correct…

She managed to guess all the multiple-choice questions correctly?!

Ssss…

The short answer questions… were also correct?

Could it be that there’s really a godly academic student in this world?

She not only passed, she passed with 90 points?!

What bullshit is this?!

“Tsk! You can leave.”

The examiner placed away Cornelia’s test papers. Anger filled his face.

Unfortunately, he cannot go against the rules. The first student to hand in their test paper received high marks. He had no choice but to record that student accordingly.

He took out a red ticket outlined with a demon design and tossed it on Cornelia’s table.

Then, he walked away without explaining the usage of the ticket and returned to his patrol.

Evidently, he was angered speechless.

The disappearance of the meal before his eyes had left him in a furious depression.

Cornelia picked up the ticket and left the exam room gleefully. Her dragon trail was swaying left and right as she walked.

Following Dekan’s instructions, she waited outside the classroom.

She was fully at ease.

Having a smart partner had truly set her mind at rest.

……

Although Dekan continued to write at a tremendous speed, he was paying attention to the behavior of the two examiners.

The two of them both deemed Cornelia to be courting death by handing in her test papers.

Furthermore, they were both thristing to kill her.

Both of them wanted to be the one to accept her test papers and then personally kill her.

A smile appeared on Dekan’s face.

Sure enough, his guess was correct. The process of Cornelia handing in her test had verified his guess.

Seems like I can properly plate these two demons now.

Cornelia was now safe. He had also finished answering his test. There was nothing to worry about now.

Dekan decided to nickname the two examiners as Lion and Goat.

The first examiner was quite fierce looking whereas the other examiner looked cultured and had goat horns growing out from his head.

Lion’s movement speed was 1.25 times as fast as the Goat.

When the two examiners noticed a student wanting to turn in their test papers, they were both allowed to stop their patrol to determine whether they should proceed toward that student to receive the test papers.

However, their movement speed does not change.

Then…

What if I happen to raise my hand to hand in my test papers when the distance between Lion and I just so happened to be 1.25 times the distance between Goat and I?

Would the two of them arrive at the same time?

Hoho, it’s worth a try.

Dekan placed his test papers upside down on his table so as to prevent the two examiners from determining how correct his answers were from a glance.

After a brief while, Dekan grasped the distance between the two examiners and raised his hand to indicate his desire to hand in his test papers.

Sure enough, neither examiner decided to give up!

They began walking toward Dekan from two directions!

It was as Dekan expected, the two examiners arrived before him at the same time!

Both Lion and Goat threw their hands toward Dekan’s test papers.

They were staring at each other with a look of fury on their faces. It seemed like they were trying their best to contain themselves.

That said, neither of them intended to concede to the other. The situation became deadlocked.

“Who are you going to hand your papers to?”

Both examiners looked at Dekan and asked the same question.

They were skeptical whether the brat before them was also a test-taking expert.

If that was the case, it would be their loss to argue with each other.

Originally, the two examiners thought that the student before them would be as confident as the girl from earlier.

However, they soon discovered that there were faint tear stains on the corner of Dekan’s eyes.

A calm grief was present in his eyes.

It was a sort of enlightenment one would have when faced with death.

It seemed like this kid didn’t know any questions and decided to hand in his test papers to relieve himself from the sufferings.

With a bitter smile, Dekan raised his head and looked at the two examiners.

“Right now, the only desire I have is to die in the hands of a powerful demon.”

He had the perfect expression. It was as if he was saying ‘dying is pretty good too.’

This kid’s dinner!

Both examiners were convinced to not give up on the prey right in front of them!

Soon, Lion and Goat’s gaze turned to each other. They sneered.

“You should give up.”

“No, you should be the one giving up.” “Oh? Did you think you’re stronger than me?”

“You wanna try?”

The tone of the two examiners were extremely combative.

Lion even twisted his neck. The sound of his neck cracking sent shivers down the spines of the students.

A layer of black fog seemed to suddenly shroud the dim exam room. That black fog seemed to be able to engulf everything at any moment.

Dekan’s expression remained unchanged.

With the hand he placed behind his back, Dekan stealthily took out a spell card.

[Mind Disturbance]

[Category: Spell Card]

[Quality: Purple Rare]

[Tier: 2]

[Effect: Interfere with the target’s psyche to briefly affect their actions. Unable to affect targets with Wisdom much higher than the user. The greater the target’s Wisdom, the more magic power is consumed.]

[Remark: Sorry!]

Decisively, Dekan activated Mind Disturbance. He incited Lion to throw a violent punch toward Goat’s face.

“Motherfucker! You want to fight?!”

“I… Fuck you! You think I’m scared of you?!”

Lion thought about explaining but Goat threw a punch back at his face. Stuck in the face, Lion exploded with rage.

“See how I’ll fuck you up!!”

“Bastard, I’ve been meaning to teach you a lesson, today’s the day!”

Both demons seemed to have lost their rationality and started fighting each other.

They’ve completely forgotten their duty.

The students nearby who didn’t move away in time were all implicated by the disaster. Some were sent flying by the two examiners. Others died on the spot.

Many tables and chairs were crushed to bits. Crimson blood dyed the originally pitch-black walls.

The battle between the two examiners was extremely ruthless. It was not a simple struggle of strength and magic; it was also a battle of spirits. They wanted to completely overwhelm their foe.

They were biting each other’s body and eating each other’s flesh.

In an instant, demon blood covered the ground. Mournful cries could be heard throughout the exam room as the reeking odor of blood filled the room.

Dekan already fled the moment he activated [Mind Disturbance.]

“Run!”

Dekan had confirmed that the only challenger near him was Cornelia. The battle between the two examiners will not implicate the other challengers.

Although the other demon examinees and challengers didn’t know what happened, their survival instinct kicked in and they started fleeing toward the exit.

The two examiners were in a complete frenzy. They didn’t bother to pay any attention to the students fleeing the exam room.

……

Inside the Viewing Hall.

“If I’m not mistaken, Dekan had answered his test papers properly yet he deliberately decided to mess with those two demons?”

“He’s so daring! Is this how a tier 2 cultist behaves after being allocated into a tier 4 Shadow World?”

“What a guy… he rescued the other challengers too!”
