Sylvia shook her head and explained, "The Forbidden Place is the place in the netherworld where some souls are stuck for many years with out reborn or getting reincarnated. I won't elaborate on the details because you will get bored with my tale. Besides the netherworld is an ugly place to be. This world we live in is still the most beautiful world I've ever been," she concluded her statement.

"Ah, okay...I got it, Mother," Nathan said.

"Alright, son. I need to go back to my room and prepare myself mentally and physically for the ritual," Sylvia said and was about to leave.

"Wait.... Mother!" Nathan said. "What is it, son?"

"What's going to happen during the ritual? What's going to happen to your body?" he asked.

"I would lie on the bed and my body will go unconscious. Don't worry, I already instructed my servants on what to do with my body after I'm done with the ritual. You only have to let them enter the room and they already know what to do. There's no guarantee that I will find the guy's soul in other dimension in 24 hours period, so, my body will be unconscious for a while. maybe for a few days..." Sylvia elaborated.

"Okay, Mother," Nathan said.

"If your father and your brother can't still come home during that period, then you have to decide for everything here," Sylvia added.

"Copy, Mother. I'll try my best so as not to dispoint you," Nathan replied.

"Good! I'll go to my room now," Sylvia said and walked away, going upstairs to her room.

Nathan went back to the secret passage in the basement.

He walked in the long hallway, going back to the room where the unconscious guy was being kept.

pαпdα`noνɐ1`сoМ A few minutes later, he finally reached the room, the guard opened the door for him.

He entered the room and found the old man still sitting on the chair beside the bed, but he's no longer talking.

"Old man, how it's going?" he asked.

"My lord, I already did my best but he's still not waking up," Terros said in a defeated voice.

"I see... do you want to go back to your room now?" he offered.

"Yes, my lord. I'm ready now to go back to my room," Terros replied.

"Alright, let's go," Nathan said.

Terros stood up and put the chair back on the table. "My lord, thank you for giving me the chance to talk to my lord," he said.

"Don't mention it," Nathan responded.

The men exited the room.

...

A thousand miles away.

At the back of Graven's manor.

Rosa and Simon were sitting on the swing nearby, while Sofia was busy feeding her fish in the pond.

Laura and Rebecca were walking around the garden for their late-afternoon exercise.

Rebecca was now used to seeing the sad expression on Laura's face. After Laura told her everything that happened to Graven and recently to Grandpa Terros, his lady friend, and Horace, she also felt worried about their safety. Even if she wants to volunteer to find the men, it will be difficult for her to do so because her tummy is already big and she doesn't want to put herself and the twins in danger.

She patted Laura's shoulder, comforting her. "Everything will be alright in the end," she said.

Laura smiled sadly. "I'll give birth to my baby three months from now. I hope my husband can finally return home safely during that time," she said with a deep longing in her eyes.

"Don't worry, Graven will come home soon! I'm pretty confident about it,"

"I wonder where are they right now?" Rebecca spoke aloud as she caresses her baby bump.

Laura released a troubled sigh. She looked at Rebecca with tears in her eyes. "I miss my husband so much!" she said, on the verge of crying.

"Oh, please, don't cry, Laura. I felt like crying too," Rebecca said, misty-eyed.

Laura shut her eyes quickly, blocking the tears from falling on her face.

A few minutes later.

A servant arrived at the garden, she informed the ladies that they have a visitor waiting in the living room.

Laura's brows furrowed, she wasn't expecting a visitor today. "Who is the visitor?" she asked.

The servant smiled. "My lady, the visitor told me not to tell you because it was meant to be a surprise..." she said.

Rebecca and Laura looked at each other.

"Alright, we're going to the living room now. Inform the cook to prepare a refreshment for the visitor," Laura instructed.

"Yes, my lady," the servant said and left the garden.

Excited, the ladies left the garden and went to the house.ραпdα `nᴏνɐ| сom

The faces of the ladies broke into a bright smile after seeing the visitor.

"Horace!" Rebecca rushed to his side.

Horace looked at Rebecca's baby bump in total surprise. "Don't run, walk slowly..." he said, grinning. "I never know that you got married? Where is your husband?" he asked. Then he looked at Laura. "My lady... it's nice to see you again!"

"Nice to see you too, Horace!" Laura smiled warmly at him. "Calder informed us the other day that you were caught by the enemy together with Grandpa Terros and Veronica. Where are they now? Are they back in Grandpa's house in the forest? Tell them to come here for a visit, I love to see them again," Laura said excitedly.

Horace cleared his throat and scratches his head. "Um... that's the problem right now. Only me and Veronica were saved by the goddess. Unfortunately, Lord Graven and Grandpa Terros were left behind because they were relocated to undisclosed location. I'm so sorry, my lady," he said sadly. He hates to be the bearer of bad news. "Don't worry, my lady. We will never stop finding ways to save Grandpa and Lord Graven," he added to cheer her up.

Laura breathed deeply. "It's okay, no need to apologize," she said, caressing her baby bump, comforting her unborn child as well herself. She's trying very hard to hide the disappointment in her eyes.

After he noticed the sadness and disappointment in Laura's eyes, Horace felt bad.

Rebecca sighed deeply.

Laura rose to her feet. "I'm going to my room upstairs to use the bathroom. You can talk to each other while I'm away," she said and walked away, heading towards the staircase.

Horace shifted his attention to Rebecca. "How are you? I never expected that I will see you here! And looked at you... you left us a single lady... but now you returned to us double, amazing!" he joked.

Rebecca smiled brightly. "I have twins," she said cheerfully.

"Wow! Fantastic! Where is the father? I want to meet him," Horace said excitedly.

Rebecca swallowed the lump in her throat. "I left him," she confessed sadly.

Horace's brows furrowed in confusion. "Huh? Why? What happened?" he asked.

Rebecca took a deep breath. "Listen carefully...I'll tell you everything that happened to me after I went missing, which culminates in me getting married and conceiving my twins in my tummy," she said.

"Okay, tell me your story..." Horace said, eager to know what happened to Rebecca when she disappeared, kidnapped by the giant birds.

"Everything started during the time the giant birds took me away..." Rebecca began her narration.

Meanwhile...

Upstairs, in the bedroom.

Laura was crying hard while sitting on the bed. She was happy to see Horace back, safe and sound. She expected that Graven is also back safely, however, that is not the case. She was very disappointed right now.

She wants her husband back!

She continues crying...

A few minutes later.

The door opened and Rosa entered the room. She went to bed and settled beside her daughter. She rubbed Laura's back and said, "Daughter, take it easy... don't let sadness and pain take over your body and mind. Now that your husband is out there fighting for his life, he expect you to take care of yourself and your baby. Graven will return home soon," she said in a soothing voice.

Laura cried helplessly in her mother's arms.

Rosa can only continue rubbing her daughter's back to console her.

Sofia entered the room and brought a glass of water for Laura. "Sis, please...drink this water... it can make you feel better," she said.

Laura accepted the glass and drinks the water.

Sofia put the empty glass on the table and looked at her distraught sister. "Do you still want to join your friends? Horace is waiting for you in the living room," she asked.

Laura shook her head. "Just tell Horace that I'm going to lie down for a while because I'm not feeling well. I'll talk to him in his next visit," she said, she can't go back there and face the visitor with eyes swollen with tears.

"Okay, I'll tell him, sis," Sofia said and left the room.

Laura dried her tears with the handkerchief and lay her body down on the bed.

Rosa picked up the blanket and covered her daughter's body with it. She stood up and lowered herself on the chair, watching her daughter's distraught face.

Laura shut her eyes, putting her mind at ease. She dreamed of her husband and their happy times in the past. A smile appeared on her lips.

A few minutes later, Laura had finally fallen asleep.

Back in the living room.

Sofia informed Horace that her sister went to sleep because she's not feeling well.

Horace released a deep sigh. He knew that Laura was suffering badly right now. He looked at Rebecca. "I have to go. I'll visit you and Laura some other time if I'm not busy with my duties and responsibility in South Pond Town. Take care of yourself and the baby. And take care of your friend, Laura, as well," he said.

Rebecca smiled. "I will! If there's some news about Graven and Grandpa Terros, please don't forget to inform us here," she said.

Horace nodded his head. "Okay, I'll take my leave now," he said and rose to his feet.

Rebecca accompanied him to the gate.

Horace waved at Rebecca before he disappeared from her eyes.
