One week later.

Inside the wooden house, located at the foot of the mountain.

The same white-haired woman stared at the candles burning brightly and among them, the one that stands out is the candle that has been resurrected.

She smiled brightly because the light of the candle is getting brighter, signaling that it's on its way to full recovery.

...

Meanwhile... a thousand miles away... in a room inside a manor.

Rebecca finally opened her eyes. "W-where a-am I?" she roamed her eyes around the room. It looks like just an ordinary room with a window, closet, bathroom, table and chairs, ceilings and walls, nothing extraordinary.

She noticed that she can move her head, her eyes but not her body starting from her neck down.

Then her mind recalled vividly the moment the vampire men carried the coffin into the room blazing with hot furnace and threw her into the flaming pit without mercy.

She felt the flames licking her skin... and she lost consciousness after that. She thought that was her pathetic ending.

B-but how come she was still alive?

What's going on?

Obviously, she didn't die in the furnace. She was saved and alive!

But who saved her?

She roamed her eyes around the room looking for a clue, yet she can't find any.

She looked at her arms, she was shocked to see burnt skin in her arms! Oh No! Did she suffered a terrible burn all over her body?

A few minutes later, she felt a stinging pain all over her body. OMG!

She was badly burned!

If that is the case she's still lucky to be alive and not become a roasted demon!

It doesn't matter if she suffered burned all over her body, the important thing is... she's still alive!

But who saved her?

She wants to know her savior and offer her thanks and gratitude.

She didn't wait long enough because the door opened and a pretty woman entered the door, smiling warmly at her.

"You're finally awake!" the woman smiled brightly and went to her side. "How are you feeling now?"

Rebecca stared at the woman for a few seconds wondering who is she? Then she spoke slowly. 'W-who a-are you? You a-are the one who s-save me?" she asked.

"Well...not really...my role is to administer medicine all over your body, as for who saves you from the furnace?...you will know later. It's enough that you know that you are alive. I have to put you to sleep for many days so that I can rub the ointment all over your body effectively without hearing you cried of pain all the time," the woman explained.

"Thank you for your help," Rebecca said feeling grateful for the woman's help in applying medicine to the burns all over her body.

The woman smiled. "You're welcome."

"How long do you plan on freezing me from my neck down to my toes?" Rebecca asked.

"You have to stay this way for a month, I just want to be sure that the blister in your skin won't result in infection, I hope you don't mind," the woman replied.

"I don't mind, as long my burn will heal properly then I'm willing to stay this way for one month," Rebecca responded cheerfully.

"Good!" the woman said. She went to the table and grabbed a bottle from the cupboard. She put a brown-looking object in her hand. She went back to bed. "Open your mouth, I have to feed you this wonder pill that will strengthen your immune system that can speed up the recovery and healing of your body," the woman ordered.

Rebecca opened her mouth and the woman dropped the pill.

The woman took a glass of water from the table and feed water to her mouth using the spoon.

Rebecca eagerly drinks the water.

Done, the woman put the glass on the table. She looked at Rebecca. "I'm going outside to my garden to gather herbs. I'll come back later to check on your condition," she said.

"Okay, thank you," Rebecca replied.

The woman walked towards the door and exited.

Rebecca released a deep sigh. She was thinking about the person who rescued her from the furnace. Who could it be?

A few minutes later, she gives up trying because her brain refuses to come up with answers. Then she feels sleepy, she closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep.ραпdα `nᴏνɐ| сom

One hour later.

The door opened.

A guy wearing a black ensemble entered the room together with the woman.

The guy went closer to the bed, staring at Rebecca's face whose body is wrapped in a gray-colored blanket. He looked at the woman. "Ebony, how's her burnt skin?" he asked.

Ebony went to his side. "Her body is healing well... don't worry... I rubbed my special potion all over her skin, once the burnt skin starts shedding from her body the new skin will develop and she will look the same before the incident," she replied.

"Okay, just don't remove the necklace from her neck. Or else, she will regain her power back. As long the necklace stays in place her power will be suppressed, she's just like any humans now, weak and fragile, she has no option left but to obey my command," the guy stated.

Ebony nodded her head. "I understand, my lord!" She looked at the woman. "This girl is very lucky, you arrived at the last minute, or else she's already a roasted meat!" she commented.

The guy stared at the impostor's face while shaking his head. "She got punished for deception, such a stubborn and stupid woman!" he said, his mouth twitching in displeasure.

"She is a stupid woman indeed!" Ebony agreed.

"Just continue medicating her with your wonderful and effective herbal medicines and potion. I want you to restore her health to its perfect condition before she got thrown into the furnace. By the way, is there any way you can restore her real image? The image she's wearing right now is the fake one, I want to see her natural beauty restored," the guy said.

"I'm sorry, my lord, that's not my specialty but I know one person who can restore a person's original looks," Ebony replied.

"Who is that person?" he asked.

"My dear sister," Ebony answered.

"Okay, find your sister and tell her to restore this woman's original look," he ordered.

"Sure, my lord. But I will do it after one month, I want to focus first on restoring her health to 100%, and after that, I will find my sister and bring her here," Ebony said.

"I can instruct my men to find your sister," he offered.

"No, my lord. My sister is a recluse and her house is hidden by a spell, no matter how many times your men waste their time finding her, they will never find her. So, leave it to me... after I cured this woman, I'll bring my sister here," she assured him.

"Where did your sister live?" he asked.

"A bit far from here," she answered. "As long I go to her place and ask her to come, she will come," she added.

"Okay, you do that!" the guy said. "I'll take my leave now, I'll be back later." He looked at the woman lying in the bed. "When she will wake up again?" he inquired.

"I can wake her up anytime for your convenience, my lord. I put her to sleep so that she won't suffer much from the pain and sting from her burnt skin. Do you want to talk to her?" Ebony asked.

"Yes, I want to talk to her. I'll come back tonight. I still have some important things to do outside," he said.

"Okay, my lord," Ebony said.

The guy took his leave and exited the room quietly.

Ebony looked at Rebecca's sleeping form for a few minutes, satisfied that everything is okay with her patient, she left the room as well.

She exited the manor and went to her garden where herbs and medicinal plants are growing abundantly. She picked up the basket from the table and began harvesting fresh herbal plants used as ingredients for concocting medicines.

Fifteen minutes later.

Her basket was already half-filled, she left the garden and walked towards the kitchen.

Inside the kitchen.

Ebony washed the herbs and medicinal plants on the sink and put them in the plastic basin, then she proceeds to boil five liters of water in a cooking pot. A few minutes later, she adds the herbs and medicinal plant into the water. She took the plastic food storage from the cupboard and opened it, dang! no more Lorga roots!

She walked outside and called the servant who is sweeping the dry leaves under the maple tree. "Anastasia, come here, watch the herbs until it boils, then douse the fire. I'm going to get some roots of Lorga Tree in the forest," she ordered.

"Yes, my lady," Anastasia replied and entered the kitchen.

Ebony donned a black cape and covered her face with the hood. She went in the direction of the forest located a few meters away from the manor. The root of the Lorga Tree is one of the most important ingredients that she uses in bathing the woman's burnt skin every day, it helps speed up the process of healing.

One hour later.

Ebony returned to the manor with a basket full of Lorga roots, just enough supply that can last up to three days.

She boiled the Lorga roots with 500 ml water and mixed it well with other ingredients.

Fifteen minutes later.

Ebony and Anastasia can be seen climbing the stairs, carrying plastic buckets in their hands, going to the second floor to give Rebecca her daily bath.
