For some people, perhaps rare people, the feeling of satisfaction is simple or sometimes just natural.

But for the rest; it's something difficult to attain or perhaps unattainable.

Yet, it's the most simplest and natural feeling a human being could experience. However, we over-complicated humans insist on making everything complex like ourselves.

Satisfaction; a feeling of fulfillment, a feeling of happiness, an understanding that your heart is at ease.

Satisfaction; heaven on earth.

Satisfaction; euphoria.

But for Long Jie, his Zhenyi was the walking and talking definition of satisfaction.

He has a fullness in his heart when she is healthy. He is happy when she has this magical smile intact on her face. Holding her in his arms, his heart is at ease.

This heavenly fairy is his heaven on earth. He doesn't know what heaven feels like, he is a sinner and if by the grace of Almighty God he ever gets to see what heaven feels like, he is sure it won't be more heavenly than her being in his arms.

Xin Zhenyi is his most real-est euphoria on the earth.

Under the starry sky, Zhenyi was embraced in his arms; the place where she belonged. One of his arms was folded under his head and on another arm, Zhenyi had placed her head. She was gazing at the stars and he was gazing at his star, unblinking.

When they finished dinner, Long Jie brought her to the other side where he had set up another surprise for her. He had arranged for a bed to set under the starry night.

It was beautiful. It was more than she could ask for.

And now they were lying in the same bed, stargazing.

"Jie?" Zhenyi called out, still staring at the stars.

"Hmm?" Long Jie responded subconsciously, staring at her.

"We live under the same starry sky, then how come we never found each other before?" Zhenyi questioned him.

Long Jie sighed and answered out loud, still staring at her. "Fate. You may think that we would have met each other before if we knew that I or you exist, but is it so simple? We can't meet each other before the fixed timing and this cruel thing called fate is responsible for it."

He leaned over and kissed the tip of her nose. "Fate is really cruel, isn't it?

" Cruel." Zhenyi repeated the word and made a reckoning expression. It was kinda cute, watching her thinking this way. She added," I won't say cruel, but spicy."

Zhenyi turned towards her husband and met his eyes, before saying, " You see hubby, fate is a spicy little thing. It adds spice to our lives. Just like food is incomplete without spices in the same way life is incomplete without it."

"Your logic is weird, Zhenyi."

"Weird maybe. But surely not irrelevant."

"Whatever my wife says is correct --"

"And Bà taught you this." Zhenyi completed for him.

He couldn't help but laugh. Her reply was kinda sounding jealous, even though it was immature of her to get envious of her husband bonding with her father.

"You're laughing at me," she complained with a pout and swore to the lord, how cute she looked this way. It was not every day one gets to see this side of Zhenyi, it was the wine that was helping her in loosening.

"I wonder how you're getting jealous over this matter when Bà loves you the most in this world," Long Jie said.

"He really does," Zhenyi said with a smile. She tightened her arms around his chest and snuggled against him like a kitten." Jie, I wanna give him all the happiness in the world. I'll do everything I have to do to see a smile on Bà, Yéyé and Ry--"

Before she could say Ryuu, a hiccup escaped her mouth.

"You're officially drunk, Wifey." Long Jie said with a shake of the head.

"I wanna give all the happiness to my family, Jie." She sing-songed. " And you're my family too, aren't you?"

Zhenyi looked at him in anticipation.

He nodded. " You're my only family, Cat-eyes."

"And I wanna give you everything you ever want or need," Long Jie added, kissing her temple. "What do you want the most, Zhenyi?"

Zhenyi didn't think before answering. "My mama. I want my mama back, Jie." She tightened her arms around him even harder. "If I ever get her and my sister back I won't ever ask for anything."

Long Jie kept on hugging her body. He had no idea that the cold and indifferent Zhenyi was longing for her mother all the time. She never talked about her and didn't even mention the word mom ever except for the war she raged against his mother when song Lily called her mother names. And the little sister she mentioned. He didn't know that she had lost a sister before. It must have been hurting her.

"You had a sister?" As the question left his mouth he wished he could take it back, but only if you could take back the stone after it was thrown and the word uttered.

He saw her eyes blurring again. He was about to apologize but she just nodded instead.

"She was a baby, Jie, and was still in mama's stomach when she left us," she said in almost a whisper.

As he heard her whisper, realization knocked on his head as to why Xin Yichen was so hell-bent on hiding her miscarriage matter from her. He still didn't agree but was delaying it because he was already afraid of her vulnerable condition. So, he decided to not tell her for now.

"I'm sorry, baby." He kissed her cheek.

"Fate is really cruel, isn't it?" Zhenyi gave a crooked smile.

"Nah, Love, it is spicy!"

And a smile bloomed on her face hearing him tease her.

This was everything he wanted and needed. Satisfaction.
