The Sword Deity in Tokyo

Chapter 271: The Shikigami’s Ability

Chapter 271: The Shikigami’s Ability

“How is it?” Kimura Kazuki asked as soon as he saw them opening their eyes. However, he heard no reply from them. He slightly frowned and his heart skipped a beat. Has something gone wrong? He looked towards their direction and froze for a second. Then, he said flatly, “Is it fun?”

Upon hearing this, Furuhashi Sakurakyu and Harunaka immediately revealed their true self next to Kimura Kazuki. Meanwhile, there was still another Furuhashi Sakurakyu and Furuhashi Harunaka sitting at the front, facing each other.

A pair of Furuhashi Sakurakyu and a pair of Furuhashi Harunaka. With another pair of them, they could form two stars. Perhaps ordinary people would be in a daze by just taking a glance at them.

Seeing this, Kimura Kazuki raised his eyebrows and said, “Illusion is the awakened ability?”

“It’s similar to illusion?” Just as Kimura Kazuki thought that the two people who were sitting opposite each other were virtual images of the illusion, the Furuhashi Sakurakyu stood up and spoke with a snicker. However, Furuhashi Sakurakyu was also a little confused with what was going on. Obviously, she was still unfamiliar with her new ability.

“What...” Kimura Kazuki was surprised as he looked at Furuhashi Sakurakyu who was standing next to him. He then came to the side of the Furuhashi Sakurakyu who was standing in the middle of the room and grabbed her hand. The tactile sensation he felt was the same as usual.

He subsequently walked to the side of Harunaka. Looking at her glassy eyes, he then grasped her hand and was amazed by the feeling from the touch in his hand.

It is exactly the same! Thinking of this, he introduced a hint of reiki into the body of Furuhashi Harunaka and explored it. He learned that the body structure of the Furuhashi Harunaka in front of him was no different than a real human.

Looking at the real Furuhashi Harunaka behind him, Kimura Kazuki realized that she was shy as he was holding her replica’s hand. This rendered Kimura Kazuki speechless, but he was still amazed. “How did you do that?”

“It’s my mom’s ability.” After signing the contract with her mother, Harunaka was struck by a strong emotion and had also known that her mother could not stay too far away from her. Most importantly, she had gotten to know her mother’s ability.

“I can use energy... hmm... which is mentioned by Kimura-kun as reiki to create an entity. I can create them by just having a look at it. Moreover, I do not need to create the internal structures of the body meticulously as the reiki will automatically fill up the organs,” Furuhashi Sakurakyu slowly explained. Apparently, she did not know how to explain it as it was also her first time having such an exhilarating ability.

However, Furuhashi Sakurakyu did not hold anything back from Kimura Kazuki as she saw that he was paying attention to what she was saying. After all, her ability was brought to them by Kimura Kazuki.

“I can also insert a trace of soul into the physical entity that I created... Perhaps it’s a trace of conscious thinking.” Furuhashi Sakurakyu scratched her head as she didn’t know whether her description was correct, emitting the vibes of a teenage girl instead of a person who had lived for decades, “You can control the replica by inserting a trace of consciousness into them.”

“I’m able to control it too,” Harunaka added. Then, she who was standing behind inserted a hint of consciousness into the replica and the next moment, that Furuhashi Harunaka woke up. Her face turned red and her eyes wandered as she looked at the senior who was holding her hand. However, she did not struggle to pull her hand away.

“This ability is great.” Although Furuhashi Sakurakyu’s description was slightly blurry, she had given them a general idea. Furthermore, such ability was commonly found in Kimura Kazuki’s previous life. But, it was rare in this era of weak reiki.

What he could think of was that Furuhashi Sakurakyu’s ability could be used to scout.

For instance, she could create a bug and insert a trace of consciousness into the bug to scout around... Besides investigation, it could also be used for other purposes. Thinking of this, he looked at Furuhashi Sakurakyu and asked, “How many replicas can you create?”

“I don’t know.” Furuhashi Sakurakyu shook her head. “Perhaps it depends on the size of the object. As for now, I’ve reached my limit by creating these two human bodies.”

“Apart from this, do you have any other abilities?” Kimura Kazuki thought of them being invisible just now.

“Yes.” Furuhashi Sakurakyu nodded. “My ability to enter dreams seems to have evolved. I can create a dreamland in a small area and control the senses of the person being trapped in it. But, I feel that this ability is a little weak as Kimura-kun reacted immediately.”

Kimura Kazuki nodded as he was thinking about both of them standing next to him without him even realizing. However, his face fell upon hearing Furuhashi SKurakyu’s words after he listened to what Furuhashi Sakurakyu said, he pulled a long face. He was caught off guard and did not notice it at all. It was embarrassing.

“This ability is not weak at all.”

Meanwhile, Harunaka was staring at her mother and was lost in her thoughts. She then glanced suspiciously at her mother and whispered, “Mom, I’ve been dreaming about you for quite some time... Did you take the initiative to enter my dream?” As a human, Furuhashi Harunaka was in the dominant position after the activation of consanguinity and the fusion of shikigami. Thus, she had gotten to know her mother’s ability. After having heard her mother’s ability, she thought of something and her expression was a little strange.

“No.” Furuhashi Sakurakyu denied firmly. “After Kimura-kun found me, I have been sleeping in his weapon for the entire time. I have never invaded your dreams.”

Looking at Furuhashi Sakurakyu lying through her teeth, Kimura Kazuki did not reveal the truth.

He was astonished with Furuhashi Harunaka’s luck. Generally, only one ability would be gained after the activation of consanguinity and the fusion of shikigami. He thought that Furuhashi Sakurakyu’s ability would be the evolution of her ability to enter dreams. Unexpectedly, she had obtained a new ability apart from having her ability to enter dreams evolved. A shikigami with two abilities was extremely rare.

However, he did not talk much about it and told them directly, “Don’t expose your ability.”

Harunaka nodded solemnly.

Furuhashi Sakurakyu waved her hands. “Don’t worry Kimura-kun. I wouldn’t be so honest if it wasn’t you.”

“Okay, put away these two replicas.” Kimura Kazuki looked at the sky and said, “Harunaka should also be tired. Take a good rest after having your dinner.”

“Sure.” Upon hearing this, Furuhashi Sakurakyu immediately destroyed the two replicas.

“Wait mom... I haven’t gotten back my consciousness... Hiss...”

The two replicas who were sitting face-to-face turned into ashes in the blink of an eye. However, Harunaka did not manage to withdraw her consciousness. Her body wobbled and her ruddy face instantly became pale.

“Harunaka, are you okay?” Furuhashi Sakurakyu panicked. She looked back and forth between her daughter and Kimura Kazuki, hoping that Kimura Kazuki could cure her.

Harunaka rubbed her head. “Mom, can’t you feel that my consciousness was still inside?”

“Oh yeah!” Furuhashi Sakurakyu suddenly thought of something and she said plausibly, “Can’t you withdraw your consciousness when you’re talking to me?”

“Oh right!” Harunaka realized and she was ashamed of herself. “I didn’t think of it just now.”

Kimura Kazuki felt tired looking at both of them. He waved his hand and said, “Go for your meal and rest... It’s just a trace of consciousness. With Harunaka’s current physique, she will recover after having some rest.”

Hearing this, Furuhashi Sakurakyu and Harunaka were both relieved.

Then, both of them started to hold an exciting conversation again.
