Chapter 1663: Kacius Black
Kacius Black from the Libra Council, an alliance of higher-dimensional mages, would never forget this day until he died. It was not that the sight he witnessed on this day was so shocking that it would stay with him, but the powers that were unleashed branded themselves into his consciousness and would torture him for the rest of his days.
He was not an exceptionally talented mage in comparison to the absolute geniuses that were popping up like weeds among the mages society, and he was at the sixth-dimensional level, however, Kacius did not forget that barely eight decades ago, he was a Six Star Archmage, and in any time before now, his progress from a Six Star Archmage to the sixth dimensional level would be seen as impossible and all of existence would hunt him to find out his secrets.
But in this new age, his insane progress could be considered mediocre. Countless immortals had reached the peak of Reality, achieving the eighth-dimensional level, and ancient monsters who were already at this level had become more powerful as time went by, transforming into monstrous entities with powers that would have been considered forbidden in many Eras past.
Kacius knew that Primordial Essence was not the only reason this insane progress had been happening, but it was also due to the glimpse of the Origin Land sometimes seen through the vortex. He had glimpsed the Origin Land only once, but that single glimpse had been enough to resolve all his queries about the higher-dimensional level. He had broken into the higher dimension with so much ease that he half believed that he had been experiencing a persistent daydream for the last eighty years.
Still, no daydream could be as grand and overbearing as what he was witnessing here.

Kacius Black had been in meditation for his preparation to reach the dimension of Fate when the call came to gather in the central plaza of the Libra Council.
There had long been rumors swirling around a massive operation that was unifying countless forces all over Reality who were at each other’s throats for the fight over resources and who would claim the Primordial Vortexes.
Kacius did not want to fight during this period of rapid growth for everything inside of Reality. He would rather sequester himself in his Tower for billions of years as he slowly grew to the level of an Old One. However, he was not as talented as the freaks who could stay beside the Primordial Vortex and peer into the Origin Land multiple times per year. War was everywhere, and being isolated would only lead to death.
The plaza for their gathering was in the core of a seventh-dimensional realm that had been plundered from a race of space-worms. This unfortunate race was lucky to gain a Primordial Vortex inside their dimension, but they were far too docile for this present Era, and the Mages who had lost their realm and were spreading all over Reality had seized the chance to eradicate this race and collect their dimension.
Dimensions…. Or rather, the lack of it had become part of the new wave of changes that had swept across Reality.
Some perceptive immortals had traced the decline of new dimensions being created to the fall of the Frozen Road.
Since the moment the Frozen Road fell, the voice of the World Stele that gave immortals the power to become World Bearers so they could root their dimension in Nothingness has ceased, and no new dimensions have been created.
In any normal period, such changes would not affect Reality for many trillions of years, or even not at all. There were already so many dimensions in Reality at this point that it was almost considered impossible that there would be an issue of overcrowding or insufficient resources.
Well, common sense did not take into consideration the changes that would happen in a Reality where Primordial Essence had been reinstated and immortals could hop and skip across dimensional levels as easily as drinking water.
It was well known that the more powerful an immortal became, the greater resources they demanded from the space around them.
Previously, it was difficult for a realm to hold more than a dozen higher-dimensional immortals at a time. The plaza of the Libra Council had barely eight higher-dimensional space-worms living inside it before they were eradicated. However, in the span of eighty years, the number of higher-dimensional immortals in this dimension was now counted in the millions!
Despite the dense Primordial Essence growing across Reality that was able to bear the weight of so many higher-dimensional immortals, it was still barely enough to maintain the ever-increasing number of immortals sprouting like weeds every day.
War over dimensions became the new order of Reality. Many immortals descended to the lower realms to seize universes, but sometime in the past, great powers had silently taken over vast stretches of the lower realms, and it was nearly impossible for them to find a universe not already taken.
The wars being fought in the lower realms were intense, but it was nothing compared to the bitter battles being fought in the higher realms.
No matter how durable the lower realms were becoming due to the infusion of Primordial Essence, higher-dimensional realms contained too many mysterious factors and abilities that could not be matched by a third-dimensional universe.
A significant number of resources could only be born in higher-dimensional realms with more complete laws of time, space, memory, and other higher laws.
All of these changes led to the endless battles that were being fought across Reality for the right to claim a dimension so it could be used as a nurturing ground, because most Primordial Vortices could only be found inside a dimension and not in outside space.
Kacius felt that it was almost deliberate. It was as if there was a gigantic hand holding puppet strings behind all of Reality, and everyone was playing to its tune. Yet they could not help themselves. Who could sit by and watch this Era pass them by?
One day, Kacius believed that everything would reach a position of equilibrium, and the most important thing was to survive these first few centuries or millennia where the frenzy of progress was at its peak.
If he could survive, then he believed that the face of Reality would be changed in its entirety and something new and amazing would arise.
An Era unlike any other that would make all other Eras before it appear almost meaningless.
But first, he had to answer the summons.
