The Primordial Record

The ability to read the memory of the souls he consumed helped Rowan to piece together the little details he had missed about Doom Star that solidified the history of this realm and the World Stele that gave him the foundations of his plans.

A singularity was extremely powerful, but their true power did not lie in a frontal show of force that could shake reality like the Primordials, but in their perverse ability to bend the rules of reality and make the impossible possible. They might not have the direct powers to shape reality like the Primordials, but they possessed abilities that even the Primordials could not control.

The World Stele was a Singularity could achieve many things, but it could not reverse the damage that had been done by a Primordial, it did not possess the power to directly change the ruling they had made, it couldn’t bring its master back to life or change his fate, and yet it could not abandon him, because whether by accident or the cruel choice of the Primordials, the life force of Thenos had not been destroyed entirely, and that meant the World Stele we bound to a master that was a corpse for the rest of existence.

Thenos’s memories remained in the grasp of Oblivion, others may not be able to sense those memories, but a Singularity could, a portion of his consciousness remained in the heads of his mothers, which was among one of Thenos greatest secrets.

The mothers of Thenos, the six Sirens as they were called by the rest of reality, were not true living beings, they were formed out of Nothingness for the express purpose of giving birth to him, and if they had succeeded, they would have simply ceased to exist.

In a manner of speaking, the six sirens were an extension of Thenos’s body, but one that possessed their individuality, and he had no control over them.

The Singularity agonized over the endless calls of pain from its owner until a seed of a plan was born in its mind, and it began to use its powers to seek the heroes and geniuses from all over reality, tempting them with benefits and bringing them over to Doom Star for them to find a solution to resurrect Thenos, of course, they did not know that this was its purpose.

Promising them the chance that they could become its master, the World Stele deceived them in this manner and these immortals, lured by the chance to possess a Singularity, worked with everything they had to create a method to resurrect this dead titan.

It was with this strategy that the World Stele gathered countless talents, and an overarching plot to resurrect its owner was born and perfected. After countless years passed, everything was set in place, and the Singularity began its great works, as it returned to Doom Star.

The first step to kickstart the resurrection of its owner was to bleed Thenos of the corruption that had inhabited his flesh.

When this Singularity began creating World Bearers, there was a price that the World Stele required when it gave the power of rooting Dimensions to the Nothingness to an immortal, it was that in the event of their death, it would be able to possess that dimension if it wanted.

Most immortals saw this as a great exchange, if they died, apart from their descendant that they may or may not treasure to carry on their legacy, their dimension was not something they would be caring about, and because even after all this time, it was a rare event for the World Stele to seize the dimension of dead World Bearers, and so this condition was mostly seen as unimportant.

This was not even discounting the fact that if a World Bearer dies, their dimensions were usually destroyed in the process, and so the World Stele was not expected to gain much from this process.

However, this was not truly the case, because the World Stele was extremely careful with the dimensions it was collecting, hardly taking two or three dimensions every Era, but because it was contributing thousands of dimensions every Era to reality, such a small number of missing dimensions did not draw any attention. Also, the dimensions destroyed during battles were gathered by the World Stele, and it used its unique power to resurrect the life force of those dimensions.

Over time, the World Stele was able to gather a lot of dimensions, far more than anyone could have expected, and it brought all of them to Doom Star.

With its connection with Thenos, the World Stele was able to access any period of its past, an ability that was unique to an eighth-dimensional immortal with a domain as solid as Doom Star, and so using all the gathered dimensions, the World Stele introduced life into Doom Star, at a suitable enough period in the past.

With the inhabitants of so many dimensions poured into this dead realm, its source energy that had long been depleted began to rise, and before long life bloomed all over Doom Star, one that was filled with prosperity and grace, for the World Stele carefully nurtured the inhabitants of these dimension, and with the near infinite size of Doom Star, trillions of lives called this place a paradise.

To many who were born millions of years after this process began, Doom Star was the only reality that they knew, and with the powers of so many dimensions packed into the closed-off realm, the power of Doom Star soared to an unprecedented realm.

At the height of this prosperity when many seventh-dimensional entities had been born and they were seeking to leave this glorified cage to pursue higher dimensions they were blocked from doing so by the Singularity.

Even though the World Stele had carefully removed knowledge and certain techniques from Doom Star to ensure that all of the higher dimensional immortals here would never achieve a fraction of their potential, some still remembered the true shape of reality in many of the dimensions that had been plundered by the World Stele and they sought to escape this cage.

They recognized that their powers were built on hollow foundations, and they could not achieve their full potential, and the powerful among them could never rest easy when they all felt the creeping feeling of danger for a long time now as if their entire realm were turning against them. It was as if even the air was beginning to hate them.

They did not have much time to plan for their escape, because It was at that moment that the World Stele struck.

With the aid of the many geniuses it had enticed in the past, it had created a great formation that linked all the life force of every inhabitant of this realm to the dead body of Thenos, and this formation was special because it was engraved on their souls.

Activating that formation caused nearly every mortal in the realm to perish as a great sickness swept through the land that darkened the blood and rotted the bones.

Trillions of souls flooded into the dead body of Thenos, and they became trapped inside of him, granting his corpse a hint of warmth, in exchange for that warmth, Thenos spewed out the corrupted darkness that had infested his body, alongside a great many of the souls he had swallowed, this darkness that became merged with these souls became the source of Calamity.

Calamity descended on the realm of Doom Star and the inhabitants fought against it, at first they were successful in pushing it back, but like an endless tide, Calamity returned, increasingly stronger.

From that moment a vicious cycle was created where the souls of the dead killed by Calamity poured into Thenos’s body, and they were ejected in the form of new Calamities, even the Calamity that perished had their souls returned to Thenos where they were reborn.

With this cruel method, the World Stele used the souls of the dead to cleanse the flesh of Thenos of its corruption.

This ghastly event continued for a long time until every life on the surface of Doom Star, both mortal and immortal was lost, and the realm sank into silence for millions of years, then on a day like any other, the first burst of light emerged from Thenos’s body.

From that burst of light, a portion of the souls that were inside his corpse were able to escape without being corrupted by the taint of darkness as the light burned out the darkness. These souls reached the surface of the realm, and a new race was born, and mortals arose on the surface of Doom Star anew.
