The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 196 - Complaints?

Chapter 196 - Complaints?

Javier laughed half-heartedly after hearing her words. 'She hasn't changed even a bit since university's days..'

Recalling the old-time, her sense of dressing stayed stagnant as the last time they met.

Moreover, he can already see that there is a person, with whom he will have high competition for gaining Jennifer's attention.

Smiling widely, Javier nodded his head and say ahead, "Don't worry, Ms. Hannah. I have kept your princess very well. You can already talk with your dear Princess if she has any complaint.."

Averting her eyes in Jennifer's direction, she gained an ideal nod which gave her confidence. "Seems like... Johnsons are treating Jennifer really nicely. I'm already impressed."

"She is special." Was all that Javier spoke in context to her statement.

He knew that Hannah was trying to test him after god knows what had Jennifer told about him.

Yet, he was already confident about this girl since she is not new to him.

But at the same time, Hannah's eyes narrowed slightly when she realized something important.

As if it was of prime importance, the word mumbled from her lips, "Why.. do I feel.. that you have the aura of someone.. whom I have met before?"

The words seem to make Javier frozen from top to bottom. There was no change in his facial expressions, but what sifted was his brows.

The tension surfaces when he tries to neglect it. "Haha...h..how is that possible? N..no it c-"

"Right?! I told him the same thing when we met! Whenever I see his back, I always remember that guy in our days… that.. guy with a broad back and the most distant among us!" This time, Jennifer expressed her thoughts which gained a positive response from Hannah too.

But the entire situation didn't have to make Javier excited at all.

All he felt was uneasiness growing more in his heart with each second appearing to be a danger sign. 'If.. they talk more.. they will find more similarities..'

With this thought, he knew that there was a need to change the topic.

Luckily, his eyes landed on a certain figure. Noting the arrival of Ellen from the door, Javier opened his mouth.

"You must have already met with Ellen? Ellen.." walking towards him, he put his hands on his shoulders in a brotherly manner, "He is my partner in crime... Ellen, the one who brought you here."

Immediately, Jennifer and Hannah turned around to look at Javier, who was over-excited due to Ellen who was rare to witness.

Also, Jennifer knew that Ellen is someone who likes to keep himself to him. Neither does he like to express or something...so what was the fun to introduce them?

"She.. must know about him. After all, they drove here for the day, right Hannah?" Averting her attention towards Hannah, who simply gave shook. "We didn't talk."

This was already expected out of someone like him who likes to him to himself.

Moreover, Javier's side action also seems to make Ellen surprised and a few frowns on his forehead.

"Anyway! Javier, can I take Hannah to the back?" Jennifer, directed to finally take some special moment of hers with Hannah.

After all, it is not regular when they get much of the time.

Receiving a positive response from his side, Jennifer took her hand into hers and brought her out on the deck, to get some privacy.

Without revealing anything ahead, she took her outside to see some beautiful scenes which were wonderful to see. "The man has taken this house in the lapse of nature.."

"Oh right! He loves natural beauty. Or you can say that most of the people here like the beauty. This state is so much different from where we used to live.." There was no way Hannah wouldn't take the notice of the glow that sparkled in Jennifer's eyes.

The way she mentioned this state, it was evident that how much it impressed her. "You.. love its calmness. Don't you?"

"Obvious! Who doesn't like calm?! There are noises and factories but they are located at another corner. Here.. most of the people can relax..from their daily routine."

Hannah just observed Jennifer clearly to witness she wasn't less than any right now.

"So you have started liking this state so much that.. you don't have any wish to go back to your own house? Hmm?"

The comment from Hannah, made Jennifer's smile fade instantly.

What marked was the faint flicker which was also half-hearted. "Not entirely. I wish to go back... I have grown up there…"

"If you wanted, then you won't have ended up calling me here. You have parted your ways from your family for a few days... without your family. Why? That is not the Jennifer I know."

"What do you mean Hannah?" Jennifer can't understand her context to which Hannah smiled at first, "The Jennifer I knew...was someone who always put her family as her first priority no matter what... what changed now?"

Keeping her arm on the top of the railing, Hannah waited for Jennifer's response.

Her hand was holding up her chin, with a faint smile leaving her lips.

Jennifer was already lost in her thoughts. There was a lack of words to explain her current messy situation.

"I..I.. obviously miss my parents. My upbringing is of that place so there will be some attachment to it without any doubt. But..whenever I see mountains.. water.. they are those things which make me calm down instantly..'' The metaphor's meanings only made Hannah puzzled.

The Jennifer she knew, wasn't much into doing things with complication in it.

Rather, keeping it straight and simple was her way. But what she saw was another kind of person.

A chuckle escaped Hannah's lips when she simply laughed her heart out loud.

Looking at the view of the mountains, her lips were curved upwards, "There's more than this state... there is more than everything. Its.. about any special person.. any individual. Right?"
