Chapter 768 Her heart hurts

By the time Lanying was brought over, Fu Juan who was sitting on the floor had already heard what she did and was looking devastated.

"Where did you find her?" Fu Lei asked with a stoic gaze and a whip in his hand.

The rest of the family members were sitting on the couch, but he couldn't even sit in a place. Someone dared to harm a family member right under his nose, and that too, his granddaughter.

He wanted t see what would stop him from hanging Lanying with a wire.

"She was behind the house listening to music with a headset, so she didn't hear us calling her," One of the servants replied with a deep bow.

"Bring her up here and tie her hands and her feet!" Fu Lei ordered while pointing at the spot she should be laid.

Immediately Fu Juan heard of that order, she crawled forward to plead for him.

"Brother please, let's hear from her, I don't believe that Lanying would do this on purpose! How would she know it isn't right to give a child a banana while taking mill at the same time?"

Fu Lei was so furious with Fu Juan that he raised the whip to hit her, but she was lucky enough that her second brother Fu Geming rushed forward and caught the whip with his hand.

Fu Juan was scared out of her wits and immediately crawled away from that spot.

'Did Lei just try to hit me now?'

"Let go!" Fu Lei said in a thunderous tone while gazing angrily at his brother. He was angry that he had to interfere at that point.

He for once wanted to teach Fu Juan a lesson she would never forget.

Even Fu ChuHua was scared when he raised that whip and was about to hit her with it.

Fu Geming gave Fu Lei a sign with his eyes as if asking him not to hit Fu Juan while letting go of the whip at the same time.

As for Lanying, she didn't even flinch when she was made to lay on the floor with her hands spread out.

Grandfather Fu was sitting with a death gaze on Lanying. He wasn't saying anything, but he silently approved of whatever method that ess going to be used to punish Lanying since his sons were there and ready to get into action.

***************

Outside the hospital, immediately after Jia Li and the rest arrived, a team of doctors and nurses were already waiting outside to take over the matter.

Quickly, Jasmine who had already fainted when they were very close to the hospital was taken from Jia Li's thighs and put on a stretcher before she was pushed in.

Jia Li felt faint when she was trying to get down from the van and was quickly held by Fu Hee who was by her side.

"Jia Li, are you okay?" Fu Hee asked worriedly while holding unto her tightly.

"Mum, I'm fine, I need to see my daughter," Jia Li said tiredly as she tried to get out of her hold.

When last did Jia Li address Jasmine so heartwarming like that? She was always and at most times, calling her name directly.

But it looks like different situations called for a different way to address people.

YingPei who watched Jasmine being moved in, assigned two bodyguards to quickly follow up, while he returned to his mother's side.

"YingPei, get a bottle of water for Jia Li, she is exhausted and feeling faint." Fu Hee ordered immediately after she saw him.

YingPei looked hurriedly at Jia Li before nodding. He asked them to go immediately, before leaving their side to go look for a bottle of water.

No matter how exhausted the current situation had made her be, Jia Li was quite strong to contour steadily in her steps.

She quickly walked in and met with the doctor she had spoken on phone with.

"Doctor, is my daughter going to be okay?" Jia Li asked in tears while reaching out her hands for her own.

The doctor gazed at her pitifully and allowed her to hold her.

"I kept watch on the time of the incident. Don't worry, your daughter will be fine, I have handled so many cases like this before," The doctor said to her.

She really pitied Jia Li that in her condition, she had to be shocked by that kind of situation.

Fu Hee looked a little relieved with the doctor's assurance and pulled Jia Li into her embrace.

They both thanked the doctor before allowing her to leave, so she could get started on helping Jasmine.

"Mum, my heart hurts! If anything happens to my daughter, I don't think I will ever forgive myself for this!" Jia Li cried in her mother-in-law's arms just like a baby.

She was blaming herself for leaving Jasmine all alone for that devil girl looking for who to harm. She blamed herself for being so innocent and negligent on her daughter's side.

If she had taken Jasmine with her to get her sharpener or had asked Lanying to call a servant for her, or better still if she hadn't asked the servants to leave their side, this wouldn't have happened.

Fu Hee patted her back with a pained expression on her face, "Do they blame yourself, it's not yourself. If Lanying was targeting Da Xia, then she would have found another way to harm her if this method didn't work. Don't worry, don't blame yourself."

"I don't think I can let Jasmine out of my sight again. This happened because I wasn't giving her enough attention. I just wanted her to learn to do things by herself and be by herself, was I wrong with my training?" Jia Li asked with tears.

She didn't want Jasmine to be spoilt, hence the reason for that kind of training she was giving to her, but now life has thought her a hard lesson, that she shouldn't leave her child under the watch of another person, especially someone who wasn't accepted by the family.

"Jia Li, you have to stop crying and pull yourself together because of the babies, Da Xia will be fine!" Fu Hee said as she continued to comfort her.
