Kilia's riding animal was a creature similar to a bat. It was three meters tall and had a wingspan of over six meters. The remarkable part of this creature was the presence of four wings, two of which were combat wings. They were covered in dense chitin and bladed on the edges.

"Let's go." Calmly Kilia said and climbed onto her tame beast. Evan followed her.

All the way, they were silent. Kilia didn't ask any questions, Rave had given her a brief description of Evan, which meant she didn't need to know more. Evan wasn't particularly interested in Kilia either, in his eyes she was nothing more than Rave's assistant. As he flew, he reflected on Rave's power and his experiments.

<He is experimenting on humans and trying to make their blood synergize with the blood of other creatures such as monsters and humans with special body constitutions. I'm going to do experiments on humans too but in a very different direction. Thanks to what I saw in this abandoned castle, I finally understand exactly what I want to get and how I will act.> Evan thought as he flew among the peaks of the snow-capped mountains.

Evan was going to experiment on people by making them enter the Gust. Malespera had succeeded, so someone else would. But, Evan had what he thought was an interesting idea.

He didn't think that Rita had practically evolved just because she'd drunk a lot of monster blood before. In Evan's opinion, the mere human body harbored many mysteries, again Malespera was clear proof of that.

<If a person has good compatibility, their cells will take advantage of the power of other variables like monster blood or perhaps some kind of energy. The body of a mere human is like soil. If it is fertile, the sprouts that are planted can turn into beautiful plants. That means that one can combine and experiment until one gets an absolute>. Evan pondered.

He wasn't going to use the blood of monsters or people with special body constitutions like Rave in his experiments. He had another plan. But, first, Evan needed to equip the lab, compared to Rave's lab fully, he lacked a lot.

As they practically flew up to the village, Kilia spoke for the first time, "Are you coming with me to Darkfil, or are you staying here?"

Evan smiled and said, "I need to talk to the vampires too. Speaking of which, that girl with the special blood is in the Emerton Family mansion, at least she was until I committed myself to training."

Kilia would quickly find out who had that girl anyway, so Evan decided to say so. He also needed to talk to Virion, Evan wanted to keep Scarlet Sacrifice for himself. He couldn't start a feud with vampires for the sake of armor, so he hoped to talk Virion into it.

Moreover, Evan believed that his association with Kilia, especially Rave, might have influenced Virion's decision.

The bat landed not far from the entrance to the cave leading to Darkfil. Kilia had been here several times before and knew all the entrances and exits very well. Like Rave, she was a friend of the vampires, and they had made such an agreement a long time ago.

Moreover, all the members of the Demonic Tree were friendly to the vampires. This was one of the factors that caused the vampires to be still not exterminated. The light organizations couldn't afford to attack vampires and openly declare war on the many dark organizations.

Many heads of mid-level light organizations feared the Rave like the devil in the flesh. But, don't forget that Rave was not the head of the Demonic Tree, moreover there were many powerful mages in Merciful Death.

...

Evan and Kilia made their way to the Emerton Family Manor. They were lucky, Virion was in the living room, drinking hot coffee and thinking about something. Evan and Kilia were allowed inside without checks because they had rings with a special amulet from vampire nobles.

Kilia had an amulet from another family, but that still meant she was a friend to the vampires. Moreover, Virion personally gave the amulet to Evan and made some agreement with him.

When Virion saw Kilia and Evan, he was surprised. He had asked Evan to deal with the Azure Bridge scout group and thought Evan's battle had just been delayed. He had no idea that Rave himself had shown up at just the right moment and saved Evan. He knew who Kilia was and who she reported to.

"Good day or good night? Who knows..." Murmured Virion as if to greet them.

"Virion, I came here by order of Rave. We know you have a girl with a unique body constitution. We want to receive a liter of her blood every month. Of course, we will pay the necessary amount for that." Proclaimed Kilia.

She was stronger than Virion, but she dared not act arrogant. She was in the middle of the vampire city, talking to one of its representatives.

"Okay, that's not a problem, she already cured my father, so we use her to strengthen the bodies of the younger generation. Her blood is very valuable indeed. I want one platinum coin for every milliliter of her blood, nothing more." Virion said calmly.

One might think that a thousand platinum coins for a liter of blood were too steep a price, but in fact, Virion was giving that blood practically for nothing. For people of their level, the price was more nominal than real. With this, Virion showed that he wanted to continue to maintain a good relationship with the Demonic Tree and to improve it.

He would use the money to train young vampires in their Family's territory, which was an exorbitant amount of money for them. In this way, Virion would make the vampires a little stronger and improve their relationship with the Demonic Tree. This girl was one of the best things vampires ever had.

Kilia nodded and said, "Thank you, I'm sure this will help Rave greatly. Where is this girl located?"

"On one of the underground floors, I'll take you there now.." Said Virion and put his cup of coffee aside. He looked at Evan and asked, "Are they members of Azure Bridge dead?"
