Chapter 739: Exchanging Gold For Time

"The way to use it is quite simple. Just put your materials in this groove, then stand on the altar and channel the skill like I did," the old Worgen High Priest instructed kindly.
Lu Li didn’t expect to receive hope again for his Supreme Ring in a place like this.
"Oh... I’d like to ask, is it a big burden for you guys when I use the altar?"
Lu Li was embarrassed. Although he had helped them, he quickly tried to find a way to repay them.
"No," the old priest answered as he shook his head then continued, "Actually, anyone who knows the skill can just start the process. As for the process, it was born of the wolf God, so it isn’t as fragile as you think."
"Can I try putting in one material at a time?" Lu Li asked. He wanted to try different materials and see if there were any differences in the results.
The Worgen nodded and offered for Lu Li to start.
"Thank you."
Lu Li looked into his backpack and took out four rare materials. There were more in his backpack, even some which were worth a hundred gold each. However, the four he had taken out probably wouldn’t sell for 100 gold combined.
The main thing to do first was to test to see what effect a large quantity of materials would have. If the effects were good, Lu Li would just collect more rare materials in future.
The Worgen Priest inserted his Magic Staff into a slot of the altar and began to recite an ancient incantation.
The first item he put in was a rare fur-like material. These were often dropped from beast Bosses and were used to make leather and Chain Mail Amour.
The properties of the Ring didn’t change, but his EXP increased by 2%.
Although Lu Li knew that the material was quite common, he couldn’t help but feel disappointed at the result. However, it would take at least two or three hours of farming to increase his EXP by 2% at his current level.
Being able to spend a few gold coins for some materials which he could convert into EXP instead of farming for hours was a decent tradeoff.
He then added an ore, which was valued slightly higher than the fur. The plant materials were worth less, while the Demon Blood was worth the most, increasing his EXP by 3.5%.
If the Demon Blood had produced the best result, the blood of a Burning Legion Boss would truly be the way to go.
Lu Li wasn’t surprised at this result at all.
He searched his entire backpack for Burning Legion drops. Other than those that were particularly precious, he unhesitatingly put three of them in.
These three materials gave Lu Li 13% EXP.
In addition to the previous materials, he had received a total of 20% EXP from this process.
At level 45 and 68% EXP, Lu Li couldn’t wait to collect more rare materials. What made him even happier was that the effect of his rings had subtly changed, though he didn’t know which material had caused it.
Supreme Four Ring (Epic)*3:

Special Effect 3: The King of the Jungle Cenarius has granted you a special ability. You are able to learn three Druid Transformation skills and four skills within those transformations.
Equipment Requirement: None
Durability: None.
These were the current attributes of the ring. If Lu Li remembered correctly, the ring had received 5 Agility, 1 Strength, 2 Constitution, 1% Critical Hit and 3% Vampirism, while none of the special effects had changed.
However, these small changes were not to be underestimated. Lu Li had only used seven materials which costed a total of 300 gold, but this was far below the true value of the Supreme Ring.
It was a long-term task to earn EXP and upgrade the ring in this way. Lu Li suppressed his greed and politely bid farewell to the Worgen High Priest.
After he returned, he found Sesame Rice Ball.
Lu Li first thanked him for making the Moonlight Herbal Potion. It had helped him acquire a great skill and a whole level, but there was one other thing on the agenda.
Lu Li had troubled him so much that he couldn’t not repay him.
"Riceball, I’m going to take you somewhere, but the road is a bit dangerous. You might die a few times," Lu Li said, intending to make clear that Sesame Rice Ball didn’t have to go if he didn’t want to.
"Where is it? Let’s go." Sesame Rice Ball didn’t even react before accepting.
Lu Li was a little surprised. How could this guy trust him so much that he would immediately ask where the location was? If he wasn’t a guy, he would suspect that Sesame Rice Ball had feelings for him.
"I’m a PVE Warlock, so my level isn’t that important. I’m also almost level 42, so I can lose some EXP," Sesame Rice Ball quickly explained.
"I’ll try to make sure you don’t die. Wait here. I’ll get Cain’s Left Hand."
Lu Li then sent a private invitation to Cain’s Left Hand, who quickly accepted. He was here to serve as an extra bit of protection in this operation.
"Oh Boss, you underestimate us. We won’t miss this little bit of EXP."
Lu Li laughed maniacally in his heart before smiling and saying, "We’re going to go to the Hinterlands and receive a bunch of EXP. Hopefully, this will be a smooth operation."
They arrived at the Hinterlands, near to where the Troll Ruins were.
Cain’s Left Hand’s expression suddenly changed as he asked, "Boss, you’re not thinking of going in there are you?"
"What, has someone already explored this place?"
Lu Li wasn’t sure if someone else had already discovered this area, but he was hoping to use this place to help Ruling Sword catch up on EXP.
"There was a small guild that met up here and faced a jungle wolf that had more than 80,000 HP. They thought that it was a Boss and dozens of players were killed before they discovered it was just an elite..." Cain’s Left Hand sputtered; his face had gone pale.
"It must have been a level 50+ monster," Lu Li said, feeling relieved.
He had experienced rebirth, so he knew what level 50 monsters were like.
"That’s right, it was a level 50 elite."
Cain’s Left hand secretly admired him. It looks like the guild master had already encountered level 50 monsters before.
