Chapter 736: Transforming Into A Worgen

With such a burst of EXP, Lu Li was almost able to use his level 45 Epic weapon.
He needed 80% more EXP, which was going to take about a week to farm. However, this was already much earlier than he had expected.
His friendship with the Bloodfang Worgen was a little overstated as it mainly came from the 300 Claw Druids before him. Of course, the other Bloodfang Worgen wouldn’t feel the same indebtedness, but they would still be friendly to him.
After all, he had solved their issue of losing their sanity after they Transformed.
Things would be significantly different if they could keep their sanity. Without it, they could only fight with their basic instincts and would often easily fall into set up traps.
The Prestige Points were a much better reward.
"Many things have been lost on the battlefield. We haven’t been able to recover many items over the years. There’s just this book..." Krug said a little sheepishly.
Was it just some of martial arts book?
Lu Li’s eyes lit up as he saw the NPC hand him a Skill Book.
"Enhanced Worgen Transformation"!
Unexpectedly, it was a strengthened transformation skill. Lu Li’s eyes lit up after he started reading the attributes of the skill book; he couldn’t help but drool a little.
Enhanced Worgen Transformation: Instant Cast. Tranform into Worgen Form. Movement speed increased by 10% and attack speed increased by 10%. Immune to other transformation effects. Reduced fall damage. 30 minute duration. 1 hour cooldown.
After players completed the Worgen’s Quest, they would gain a skill book which enabled them to transform into a Worgen.
If Lu Li remembered correctly, the additional attributes should have been a 5% increase in movement speed and a 5% increase in attack speed. This enhanced version doubled the effects.
Of course, there were advantages and disadvantages to this transformation. After becoming a Worgen, a player could still use their profession’s skills, but their race skills and items wouldn’t work.
For example, Lu Li would be unable to use Shadow Meld.
Everyone could add the Worgen Transformation to their repertoire, but not all players would use it. If Lu Li didn’t already have Vanish and Gale Steps, he wouldn’t be willing to give up his strong equipment effects or Shadowmeld.
However, this kind of transformation didn’t require the player to completely abandon their original race. Lu Li, who had experienced rebirth, also knew that he could join the Pandaren family in future. Like the Worgens, he would also be required to complete a certain quest, but unfortunately, the opportunities were slimmer and the quest had a lower EXP reward.
Lu Li learned the transformation skill without hesitation.
He then tried to use it, transforming from a Night Elf to a Worgen in a dazzling light.
The Worgen’s movements weren’t particularly graceful, but this form was very suitable for raids.
The increase in speed wasn’t too noticeable – after all, his movement speed was already quite high.
However, Lu Li’s was mainly focused on the fact that he was immune to other transformation effects.
This basically removed the possibility of being hit by a Mage’s Polymorph. Lu Li could imagine someone like Unforgettable Maple or Sorrowless begging for mercy before him.
"Thank you for your generosity, your excellency," Lu Li said thankfully.
Even the whole level of EXP was already enough to satisfy him; he had never been that greedy.
"It is us who should be thanking you. The Bloodfang Worgen will always welcome you," Krug said as he pointed his finger at Lu Li’s shoulder and left a blood red stain that was the Bloodfang Worgen’s Blessing.
The Bloodfang Worgen’s Blessing increased his movement speed by 20% and enabled him to be transported to the Bloodfang Ruins. It had a shared cooldown period with the Hearthstone.
He had a 10% bonus from his shoes, a 10% bonus from his badge, and a 10% bonus from the Worgen Transformation. If he added another 20%, Lu Li would be naturally faster than most player who had activated their acceleration effects.
After saying goodbye to the Bloodfang Worgen, Lu Li left with Remulos and received an invitation to have some drinks.
They were back at the Moonlight Forest in the Temple of Remulos.
This was the first time that Lu Li had tasted the legendary Jungle Liquor. It was said that the Keeper of the Grove’s brothers and sisters, the Dryads, used hundreds of different kinds of flowers to make this.
In his previous life, Lu Li had seen this item on sale in a private auction.
Jungle Juice. One use. Increases all attributes by 10. Only activates the first time this item is used.
"Can I take this wine away?" Lu Li asked. He wasn’t willing to just drink it.
"Of course not," Remulos replied shook his head. "Everyone has their chance, and your friends aren’t here sitting with us. This isn’t their chance."
"Alright. Thank you, Keeper of the Grove," Lu Li said as he downed the Jungle Juice. The System prompted him as he received his +10 bonus on each of his attributes.
"You deserve it. You are much stronger than I expected," Remulos said emotionally.
"This time, I think it was purely up to luck. I just happened to know the formula and also happened to know where Moon Grass could be found, so I gave it a try and accidentally completed a quest," Lu Li explained modestly.
"It certainly didn’t look that way," Remulos said, then waved his hand and continued, "Regardless, it’s good that the Bloodfang Worgen’s issue has been resolved. Our strength has increased and hopefully, we can resist the Burning Legion’s next attack. The Druids’ work has seen some fruit over the years and I don’t want to lose it."
"Is there anything else I can do?" Lu Li asked hastily.
In general, there wasn’t much room for players to intervene in situations like this, but all they needed to do was ask. In fact, some NPCs would wait for the player to volunteer.
"Your strength is still too weak," Remulos said unsurely as he glanced at Lu Li.
"I will work hard. I hope you can tell me what kind of quest it is so I can prepare for it earlier," Lu Li said with a serious look. Evidently, it must have been a very difficult quest, like the one at Blackfathom.
Remulos mused and suddenly asked, "Do you know Saar?"
"Of course," Lu Li answered, then straightened his back and respectfully continued, "He was the great Chief of the Horde. He is known to the world because he was a slave that unified the Horde."
Saar was the Chief of the Horde and Lu Li was part of the Alliance, but that didn’t stop him from paying homage to the Orc Hero.
