Chapter 1695: Chapter 1792: Battle with the Immortal Strong Ones

The path of Martial Arts: those in the Longevity Realm can be said to have stepped into the threshold, but only upon reaching the Immortal Realm can one be considered a true powerhouse.

During the most glorious era of Martial Arts, those in the Longevity Realm were nothing special, and martial artists in the Immortal Realm were already regarded as experts.

However, just like the Longevity Realm, the Immortal Realm is also divided into different levels.

The East Pole Heaven King of the Pill Alliance, though his cultivation has reached the Immortal Realm, is merely at the early stage of this realm. After all, he is from this era, and the number of years he has cultivated is not particularly long. He has only truly stepped into the Immortal Realm within the past hundred years.

As for someone like the Pavilion Master of the Sealing Sword Pavilion, their strength is feared to be at least at the mid-Immortal stage of cultivation. In Fang Lin’s estimation, it is highly probable that the Pavilion Master has already reached the late Immortal stage.

At the very least, Fang Lin knows that during his victory over the Pavilion Master of the Sealing Sword Pavilion in the lands of the Ten Thousand Mountains, it was laden with flukes. Who knows how much strength the Pavilion Master actually withheld during that battle?

Now standing before him were two individuals: one, an Immortal powerhouse from the Taoist Sect; the other, an Immortal powerhouse from the Confucian Sect. Although both were in the Immortal Realm, Fang Lin judged them to be merely equivalent to the East Pole Heaven King, having not reached the mid-Immortal stage either.

Given Fang Lin’s current strength, defeating an expert at the early Immortal stage was not particularly challenging. Even when facing a mid-Immortal opponent, his True Dragon Physique allowed him to fight them to an even stand.

Thus, even when being confronted by two Immortal experts at the same time, Fang Lin was not the least bit intimidated.

However, defeating and killing are two entirely different concepts. Defeating an Immortal expert is something Fang Lin can currently do, but killing one? That was rather unrealistic.

As the green-robed Taoist had pointed out, he could fight Fang Lin to a deadlock, but defeating Fang Lin was as difficult as reaching the heavens. If Fang Lin decided to leave, the green-robed Taoist alone would not be able to stop him.

Fang Lin had about seventy to eighty percent confidence that he could defeat the green-robed Taoist, but killing him was out of the question. If the opponent were desperate to survive, Fang Lin would have no way to kill him in a single strike.

After all, at this level of cultivation in the Immortal Realm, unless one wished to die themselves or had truly reached the end of their lifespan, killing an Immortal expert was incredibly, incredibly difficult.

“Young friend, your cultivation is hard-earned. Though you are merely in the Minor Longevity stage, being able to contend with an Immortal expert is truly impressive. Today, it would be best for you to leave, lest you bring harm upon yourself,” Elder Situ spoke. His tone carried an approachable air, but the underlying threat was unmistakable.

Fang Lin chuckled, “You can tell I’m only in the Minor Longevity stage, yet even so, you can’t deal with me? What face do you have to even stand here?”

Hearing this, many from the Taoist and Confucian sects had darkened expressions, with some even feeling a sense of jealousy.

“Young friend, you are indeed a prodigy of unmatched caliber, one blessed with boundless fortune. If a hundred years were to pass, it’s unlikely anyone of this era could rival you,” Elder Situ said loudly, seemingly praising Fang Lin.

But in the next moment, Elder Situ’s tone shifted: “However, young friend, you must be aware that the two of us working together would leave you utterly defeated—or worse, you could lose your life here. Is it truly worth burying yourself here over a moment of impulsiveness? If I were you, I would never act so recklessly.”

Fang Lin looked at Elder Situ mockingly and responded, “You’re saying all of this because you know in your heart you have no confidence in stopping me, aren’t you? You’d rather have me leave on my own so that you can save face, isn’t that right?”

Hearing this, Elder Situ maintained his composure and said with a faint smile, “With your strength, young friend, the two of us working together means it won’t be so easy for you to leave either. After all, I’ve been observing your techniques for some time, but you know little about ours.”

“I don’t need to know, and I have no interest in wasting my breath on nonsense. If you want to fight, then fight! I’m curious to see if the two of you together can defeat me,” Fang Lin said, his inner Power of the Sacred Tree surging forth, gathering into a colossal hand that swept toward the green-robed Taoist and Elder Situ with overwhelming force.

Everyone watching was stunned. Had Fang Lin gone mad? Was he really going to take on two Immortal experts simultaneously? Had his confidence truly reached such an extreme?

“Ungrateful fool! You overestimate yourself, young friend,” Elder Situ coldly snorted, his hand suddenly pointing with chilling precision.

A green beam of radiance rose into the heavens, carrying an incomparably majestic aura as it collided head-on with the colossal hand.

The green-robed Taoist, meanwhile, took a step forward, appearing directly before Fang Lin. Yin Yang Two Energies swirled around him, and faintly, it seemed as though his physique was being enhanced as a result.

Bang!

Fang Lin traded punches with the green-robed Taoist. Both stepped back, though Fang Lin’s True Dragon Physique proved superior, giving him a slight upper hand.

Yet, Fang Lin noticed that the green-robed Taoist’s physique seemed to be gradually strengthening. Although still inferior to his own, it had nearly closed the gap compared to something like the Fu Yue Vajra’s Perfect Golden Body.

At this moment, Elder Situ’s finger strike shattered Fang Lin’s colossal hand. Elder Situ himself closed the distance and joined the green-robed Taoist in attacking Fang Lin together.

Relying on his True Dragon Physique and the sharpness of the ancient spear in hand, Fang Lin fought against the two Immortal experts, not just holding his ground but even taking the initiative in many exchanges.

This sight left the onlooking members of the Taoist and Confucian sects in utter disbelief. It was an image they would never forget for the rest of their lives: two once-unassailable Immortal experts were unable to suppress a young man who had not even reached the Great Longevity Realm.

“This young man is truly terrifying. Has the fortune of the entire era focused solely on him?” Elder Liu murmured, his voice trembling.

Standing beside him, Master Song wore an expression of bitterness and complexity, not knowing what to say. They had cultivated for over a thousand years, consuming countless pills and rare treasures, surviving countless trials and tribulations, to achieve their current level of cultivation.

But Fang Lin? His rise to fame had been under ten years, and he wasn’t even thirty years old. Yet his strength was already so fearsome. If he continued on this path without interruption, as Elder Situ had said, who could possibly contend with him in a hundred years?

Would an invincible powerhouse of the Human Clan arise in just over a hundred years?

“This youth must die today. If he lives, our three sects’ enmity with him will only deepen, and the future will know no peace,” said the black-robed Master of the Taoist Sect coldly.

The white-robed Master nodded in agreement, fully endorsing the sentiment. If Fang Lin did not perish, his potential threat would indeed be too immense.

Even now, Fang Lin was already a nearly unparalleled force. If not for the three sects still having Immortal experts in reserve, Fang Lin alone might already have been capable of toppling all three sects entirely.

Bang!

Fang Lin received a strike from the green-robed Taoist, but in return, struck two punches that forced both the green-robed Taoist and Elder Situ to stagger backward.
