The dragon's harem

Chapter 1406 - 1406: The End of a God

Surrounded by angels, demons, and vampires, Alexander healed his wounds with a growl. Whoever Arad was, Alexander was certain he wasn’t facing any random soldier from the war.

Alexander was first baffled when his angels betrayed him, but now he couldn’t believe his eyes as he saw the hordes of demons. Arad had even managed to grant the angels the power of murder and Amaterasu’s power. This means at least Kali, Amaterasu, and Katal are on this plan to kill him.

“A murderous demon beneath the incandescent sun, bringing ruin and destruction upon the world. The gods have chosen a peculiar champion, haven’t they?” He stood and pointed his fist at the angels, summoning a long sword, “What I don’t get is why you betrayed me. You who stayed serving me even after I became an abomination, the very thing you’ve sworn to slay.”

“You should’ve betrayed me long ago, why now?”

Angels had one clear reason. While all the gods are equal beneath the overgod, this was Cain’s divine rule. There was one exception, one divine that outclassed the current overgod in rank. AO stood above all, and the angels would serve him first before anyone else.

The moment they were all sucked into Arad’s stomach and saw his soul, it was already over. AO had returned, and so they shifted sides. From now on, they’ll only serve another god when AO assigns them to that service, which he has already done.

A third of the angels now served Eris, and another third served Mira; the last third still didn’t serve anyone, but Arad should find them a master soon. The original angels that served AO were special as they didn’t need divine magic. Divine magic was a lesser power AO granted to the gods and their servants to use, since they couldn’t handle his own energy.

The angels didn’t care to reply to Alexander. For he wasn’t the Alexander they knew; he had been defiled by the abominations and was turned into a mindless puppet with the sole goal of invading the universe. He is cutting a path for the horrors of the outer void and desecrating the oasis created for everyone.

“Don’t even know how to reply? What a shame.” Alexander sighed, “I might’ve lost my power, but I’m not dying without taking many of you with me to the depths of nothing.”

It was then that a blue flash flew between the angels and demons, faster than anyone could react. It landed on Alexander’s chest, caving his ribs and sending him flying at blinding speed.

Gojo was standing there with two burning eyes, a fist extended forward with sparks of magic glistening over his long, pale arm. “Sorry! I’m late.” Gojo looked at Arad with a smile, and the two of them flew at Alexander, followed by all the demons, vampires, and angels.

“Who are you?!” Alexander growled, healing his wounds in an instant.

The first to reach him was Gojo; he was now the fastest. Alexander retaliated with a sword swing, but Gojo grabbed him by the wrist, spun him around, and threw an exploding punch of magic at him.

Arad was now behind Alexander, and he swung a kick just as Gojo hit Alexander, matching his brother’s speed and power. In the lightless void, only Gojo’s glowing blue eyes and Arad’s radiant purple eyes were visible, dancing around Alexander like strings of pure light as the two worked together to end this fight quickly.

“Two voids, this close, damnable midget.” Alexander could guess that Yog has a hand in this. The little half-halfling, half-elf had her tiny, grippy paws in everything. He could swear that everything bad that happens in the world can be blamed on her.

It didn’t take everyone else long to reach them, and the beatdown started. The angels’ brilliant golden eyes, the demons’ dark green eyes, and the vampires’ blood red eyes. All of those danced around Alexander beside Arad and Gojo’s eyes, creating a storm of lights.

What looked like a light show was more than a couple of thousand angels, demons, vampires, and two void dragons violating the ever-living hell out of a fallen god, ripping him piece by piece like a swarm of hungry piranha.

Alexander opened his eyes, standing alone in the middle of nothing. He looked around, a bit confused. He was a god who had fallen into an abomination.

Usually, Aira would await the gods before they perish into nothing. But in his case, he expected to see Nyar, since all abominations return to him.

But as he was thinking of that, something sharp stabbed him in the back, and he fell down, unable to move.

Right now, he still could see who stabbed him, but he already noticed that his soul wasn’t disintegrating anymore. Meaning even though he died as a god, he won’t fade away.

For a moment, he was glad, thinking that this was Nyar’s method of keeping the powerful abominations from being lost. But soon, his smile faded away as he saw two tiny bare feet walking toward him.

“Fucking Midget! You horror! What did you do to me!” He screamed. That was Yog approaching him.

“Me? Nothing at all.” Yog took a step back and waved her hand, “She is the one who did something.”

From behind Alexander, another pair of feet walked over him, stepping on his back. The one who showed up was his wife, who now stood beside Yog, looking at him with lifeless eyes.

“What did you do to her?!” He growled, and Yog barely managed to wrap her tiny arm around his wife’s waist, “Nothing, I just played with her a bit, did some experiments until I could control her. Unlike you, she died, and her very soul was converted into an abomination. Quite the fascinating process.” She smiled, “But that means your wife was already long ago, this is just a vestige of her created from Nyar’s power.”

Yog then lifted her hand and flicked her fingers, “I’ll keep her as my little toy, but you, I’ll use you for another experiment.”

Alexander’s soul disappeared into a tiny glass tube and flew to Yog’s hand. “I’ll make sure to learn enough from you and your wife to make sure this never happens again. No matter how much you’ll suffer from it.”

Alexander’s tube disappeared, and his wife looked at Yog, finally speaking, “You sure there is no other way?”

Yog looked at her with a smile, “Other ways to make sure this never happened without putting you and him through torturous experiments? Yes, there are many other ways to avoid it.”

“Then why?”

“Ask yourself, or think of me as a monster if that makes it easier for you to live with.” Yog waved her hand, and the wife sighed.

“I know you aren’t a monster.”

Yog looked at her, then her smile faded. “Fine, I already know how to prevent this from happening, and no other god will be infected in the same way you and Alex were.” She then shrugged.

“I’m using you two to try and track the location of Nyar’s true body, which includes killing you two and then bringing you back to life before he could fully absorb you. That would eventually allow me to track your souls to him.”

The wife paused for a second and then looked at Yog, “I thought you knew everything. Forbidden knowledge and all.”

“Nyar has his way of hiding from me. Otherwise, we would’ve launched an attack on him long ago.” Yog disappeared alongside Alexander’s wife.
