Chapter 564: Meeting Someone Familiar
Venue Point Hotel, Trinity.
Max led Lora along with her and went to see Lesia first. As they got to her door, Max looked at her asking if she was prepared for it, "You better score full marks if you want Lear in the bag."
Lora blushed a bit but still nodded. She might not admit it in front of Lear but it was too obvious here and she had known from the start that Max had been her biggest supporter. She had noticed him pushing Lear towards her on every occasion he could find.
"Knock!"
"Knock!"
Max gave a knock on the door and soon Lesia opened the door up.
She smiled looking at Max before her eyes fell on Lora and it seemed that she hadn't managed to recognize her yet.
Max took a step closer to Lesia and whispered it to her, "Didn't I tell you about Lear's girlfriend? Its her Lora."
Lesia was taken back in surprise not expecting to meet the girl so soon. She carefully look at her and Lora smiled cheerfully before greeting her, "Hello, I am Lora Roxley. I heard you have been supporting Lear and my friends. I am very thankful for that."
'Damn! She nailed it!'
Max didn't expect her to nail it in so smoothly. He had no idea that the girl had been practicing about her first meeting with Lear's parents for a while and even though it was somewhat slightly different from her initial expectation, she was prepared.
"Hello, nice to meet you, Lora." Lesia smiled and shook her hands with Lora before inviting them in.
She was interested in meeting her but she didn't understand why Max would bring her to here. There was no reason for him to introduce Lora to her. If it was just because she was Lear's fan, she would really be doubting this guy's intelligence or suspect that he had some ill motives.
But thankfully, Lora soon made it clear. She was here to invite her friends to her house for dinner when Max told her about Lesia. How she had saved Elly and helped them? Since that was the case, she felt like thanking her as well and hence was here to invite her along as well.
When Lesia heard about it, she really didn't know what to say. Meeting with Lora was still fine but if she went in the Roxley mansion like this won't she meet Amanda? Not to mention, this would become infiltration, if she was found out, it would be a huge issue.
But then again, she wanted to see how the Roxley's were. And she had always wanted to meet Amanda as well.
'Well, even father can't see through my disguise, there is no way anyone else can.' Lesia was quite confident in her ability, it was just that her actions along with some weird coincidences had got her caught by Max.
The trio continued to talk for a while. Max was there just for the fact of it and acted as a link between them speaking a word or two in between.
A few minutes later, he messaged Janet about it and soon, she brought Elly along with her and arrived in Lesia's room.
Elly smiled lightly while seeing Lora and then took a seat next to Max. She seemed to have returned her usual state after a good rest. It looked like the event from before had indeed affected her mentally derailing her from her usual behavioral route.
"You feeling alright now?" Max asked her and she gave a calm nod.
"My powers seem to have some changed a bit after it. I am not sure about the change but something feels different," Elly whispered to him. She had been feeling something different and the feeling had gotten clear after she woke up. She knew that something had definitely changed from before.
Max was surprised by her revelation but then just asked her not to talk about it right now.
Janet was really excited to meet Lora. It seemed she still didn't have a chance to perfectly talk with her after making up. Now only Lisa and Edward were left on her list whom she had still left to talk. The two were pretty hard to deal with, especially Lisa who probably wasn't going to forgive her until Max and Lear planned something to get the two to make up.
The people continued to have a talk for while before Lora invited them to have a visit around Trinity before they would visit her home and stay there until the dinner.
Janet was always ready and immediately ready to go.
Max was actually still a bit irritated by her honestly and wanted to squat her like a fly for almost creating a war between him and Lear but looking at her behaving innocently like that he couldn't think of anything harsh. But he was sure to take his petty revenge at her.
Soon, the group got read and left the hotel. As they were about to board the car, Max suddenly stopped.
"What's wrong?" Elly who was walking close to him suddenly asked seeing him abruptly stop.
"I just remembered some urgent work," Max forced a smile as he looked at the group.
"Really? Can't you do anything about it?" Lora asked looking at him. She knew that they were getting their hands in some weird ass otherworldly sh*t so she knew that it might not be right to stop him. "Make it quick if possible."
"Yeah, I will be there soon for sure." Max said with a smile before opening his phone and messaging both Lora and Elly to look after Lesia and inform if anything comes up.
As the group left, Max turned his head and began to walked towards the cafe which was located out in the open and was a part of the Hotel for people who wanted to enjoy a cup of coffee out in the open sun.
"You can keep the paper down," Max said as he sat down on one of the seats with a person in front of him.
"Isn't this ridiculous? I only looked at you for a fraction of a second and you still manage to catch me?" The person asked in disbelief as he pulled the paper down.
It turned out to be a familiar figure.
He was Axel's brother, Naze Rim.
"So, why are you looking for me?" Max asked as he looked at the guy.
"Well, I am a man of principle you know. Even though others are boycotting you, I am a person who is loyal to his orders. So, I am here to report commander," Naze said with a smile before saluting Max.
