Chapter 459: Trouble
"If everything is done then, let's get going… we shall empty all the antidote stores in the City and also get all the things which might be helpful to us during the event.." Axel said as he looked at everyone.
"What are helpful things? And why empty the antidote stock of the city?" Mark asked with a frown.
"Well you determine if something is helpful or not. Just purchase it if you think it can come to help." Axel said as he looked at Mark. "As for antidotes, we don't want others to have them.…not to mention, there is a chance that someone might have gotten information like us and will purchase them..."
"But won't it be a problem if someone is in urgent need of it?" Mark asked with a concerned tone.
"We are miles away from Orena here and this is a city, if people really get poisoned then they could just visit a hospital…" Axel said in assurance.
"Still, won't it cost a lot to empty the stock of the whole city?" Terry asked.
"It's not our money...why care if it increases our chances of winning?" August said with a clam look.
"Yeah, just foot the bill in the Headmaster's name…" Lear replied.
Max nodded as well.
They then divided themselves in groups to go out on a hunting spree for antidotes.
After three hours…
Max, Lear and Wilson were the first to return. Their squad was responsible for wiping out the nearest district so they were the fastest one to return.
And soon a problem emerged...
"Should we really be doing this? I have a bad feeling about it…" Lear said with a frown as he looked at Max.
"I know...but letting him go alone might cause a bigger problem…" Max replied helplessly as he glanced at Wilson.
They were going towards the cafeteria. The Academy obviously were going to provide their meals and now it was time for dinner.
Max and Lear were against going to the cafeteria due to Wilson's presence and insisted on eating outside.
But, Wilson wasn't listening. He retorted that he wasn't afraid of anyone. So, they decided to tag along to calm him if the situation demanded.
"It would be better if August was here? If they fought amongst them...we wouldn't have to worry about them fighting others…" Lear said with a sigh.
"That would be even worse...the bill for destruction would fall on us. If he fights with others.....we could still share the bill between two Academies and even the headmaster would be lenient on us…" Max replied as he looked at Lear.
"Yeah, you might be right…" Lear nodded as they entered the cafeteria.
Max could immediately feel several hostile gazes directed towards them.
As they sat down on one of the tables. Max just hoped that there won't be any trouble.
"Hmmn? It seemed she succeeded in her second recovery..." Lear suddenly looked at group entering the cafeteria and smiled.
Max followed his gaze only to see Lora, Aria and Namen. It seemed that they had made up. At least that is how it looked to Max.
"Lora got selected as well?" Max asked in surprise. He didn't think that Lora would be selected. As for Namen, she was at the top of her class if you removed Max from the list. So being selected as a blacksmith was a bit expected….but for Lora it was a bit difficult to believe...
"It's thanks to us…"? Lear replied.
"Us?" Max asked in surprise.
"We put down Werner and then made Mark defect….two extra spots have opened there…at last moment the Academy will fill the spot with any available person…..that is how she made it to reserves…." Lear replied.
The group of girls came and took the second table in front of Max and others.
Both the groups just nodded at each other for greeting once and that was it…
It was probably for the best to not act friendly.
Max and Lear understood it well. After what Mark had done, Orca probably wanted to tear them apart and suck them dry.
How could they act friendly in that situation?
Even looking at the guys from Orca was enough to start a war…. forget about wanting to have a chat with the girls in their Academy.
The idiots would probably fight till death in that situation….and Max definitely wouldn't want to kill anyone…
At this moment, the students of Trinity Academy entered. The one leading them was the Celestial from Roxley House.
Melan Roxley, the grandson of the Great Elder of Roxley House.
"Annoying b*stard…." Lear frowned looking at him.
"What's wrong?" Max asked as he looked at Lear.
"Uh...long story...anyway...I got beaten by him once. I was still pretending to be trash back then...just looking at his face annoys me…" Lear replied. It was his duty as trash to get beaten up and cause trouble back then...
"Well, you have a chance for revenge now…" Max said with a smile
"Yeah, I will give him a makeover if I end up bumping into him…" Lear nodded.
Melan looked around in the cafe when his eyes finally fell on Lora and then he walked towards her with huge strides.
"Come with me…you have someone to meet..." He said looking towards Lora.
"Get lost…" Lora ignored him.
Melan's face immediately sank.
"It's the Lord's order…." Melan said in a threatening tone.
"Is it approved by my Mom…." Lora asked.
"..."
"I haven't received any such orders. So leave…" Lora further said after not hearing any reply from Melan.
"Stop annoying me Lora...I have better things to do…why do I have to be dragged into you father and daughter stu-" Melan said in an irritated tone but stopped in the end and controlled himself. After all, he couldn't curse the Lord.
"Fine, if you don't want to come then I will follow the alternative order…" Melan said with a smile.
Lora frowned looking at his face. Her father had been a bit irritating to her ever since Lear had visited for dinner. And she didn't know what her mother told him after returning back home that he started trying to set up blind dates for her…
Of course, she rang her mother and her father was put down for a while. But he had still been annoying her from time to time…
She looked at Melan wondering what he would do when the guy suddenly turned and looked towards Lear.
Lora's frown deepened as she realised what her father had asked him to do.
As Melan took a step forward, Lora stood up, "Fine, I will go with you…"
Melan shook his head and turned, "What do you find interesting in that coward?"
"Shatter!"
A glass of orange juice suddenly fell on Melan's head. Even though he managed to protect himself with a mana barrier in time, he still couldn't stop himself from being drenched in the orange juice.
The cafeteria immediately plunged into silence.
Lora's eyes were wide as well. She was starting to get worried now as she looked at the person who threw the glass.
Melan turned his head to look towards the person only to see Lear smiling.
"Sorry, my hand slipped...right, Max?" Lear asked.
"Yeah, sure it did…" Max replied as he looked at him and then at Wilson who was quietly eating there.
