Sparky didn’t stop. He opened his mouth—and let out a Dragonfire Thunder Breath, a fusion flame he had been saving for death-matches.
The beam hit the Skyfiend square in the chest, sending it flying back across the sky.
It crashed onto a nearby peak with a deafening boom, smoke and sparks filling the horizon.
The battle was over.
Sparky descended slowly, battered but proud, golden arrow still clutched in one claw. His body ached with wounds, but his spirit was high. He landed beside Kent, bowed his head, and offered the arrow.
Kent smiled and gently took the arrow.
The forest was dead silent. Not a single beast dared move.
Elder Jill, watching from afar, shook her head in disbelief.
“He… forged a natural weapon, summoned a divine beast, and challenged the food chain of this entire forest… all in one day.”
Kent placed the arrow into his spatial ring, eyes already gleaming with ideas.
Even though the lightning strikes stopped, no one dared to step on the 3rd mountain.
The dust of battle had barely settled when Kent raised his right hand high, his fingers moving in a swift, precise gesture that sliced through the air like a sword.
It was a signal—a silent call of command.
From all corners of the Third Mountain, beasts began to rush in, his loyal pets responding instantly.
There were more than thirty of them—ranging from the nimble Thunder Foxes with glimmering tails to the mighty Gale Bears whose steps cracked rocks underfoot. All bore marks of loyalty, each one personally nurtured and trained by Kent.
Their movements were fluid, systematic. They did not trample over herbs or roar without reason. With surprising intelligence and reverence, they began harvesting the evolved herbs, the ones that had transformed under the divine lightning storm moments ago.
Leaves shimmered with electric veins. Roots sparkled with residual essence. Some herbs even glowed faintly with an aura of age—many had evolved a full rank due to the heavenly lightning they absorbed.
From the mountain base, Elder Jill stood frozen—a hand shielding her eyes, her heart still racing from what she had witnessed. But as Kent turned and looked down at her, his calm presence reassured her.
He raised two fingers in the air and waved them lightly toward her direction.
She instantly understood his gesture and rushed forward like a wind.
Her mouth opened slightly in awe as she saw him kneeling beside a patch of Lightning Red Grass. The blades sparkled crimson-gold, curling and moving on their own like serpents. These were rare herbs that often vanished underground seconds after surfacing—but now, they leaned toward Kent, as if bowing to their king.
Kent reached out and plucked them with elegant precision, storing each in a special jade box.
“Unbelievable…” Elder Jill finally managed to whisper. “The Lightning Red Grass… each stalk is at least 300 years old. They’ve matured in a single night…”
Kent nodded, not pausing his movements. “The divine lightning accelerated their evolution. The third mountain’s affinity with the lightning element resonates with me—it accepted me.”
Elder Jill blinked. “Wait… what do you mean it accepted you?”
Kent stood up, wiping his hands. His silver-white hair, wild before, now flowed calmly behind his shoulders. “This mountain… is like a sleeping beast. It tests who dares claim its gifts. The moment I sat under that tree, it recognized my Storm God Physique and began responding.”
She frowned. “Recognized? So you knew this might happen?”
“I suspected,” Kent replied with a soft smile. “But I didn’t expect seven lightning beasts to descend from the heavens. That was… unexpected.”
She looked around at the flattened terrain, at the splintered rocks, the still-sparking tree, and the tremors still echoing across the peaks. “What… did you even gain from this? You risked your life!”
Kent looked at her, and for a moment, his eyes burned with restrained power.
“My physique,” he began slowly, “has undergone a full refinement. The lightning of this world—the immortal grade of it—merged with my body. My Storm God Tyrant Physique is now one step from entering High Earth Immortal Physique rank.”
He paused, clenching his fist once.
“My cultivation also advanced. I’ve reached the peak of Mid Earth Immortal Mage. One more push, and I’ll break through.”
Elder Jill gasped. “Just… from one event? That’s not even natural!”
“It wasn’t,” Kent replied calmly, glancing toward the sky. “But nothing about me has ever been natural.”
Her gaze shifted then, to the golden glow near Kent’s waist. “And… the arrow? The one that tore the sky apart?”
Kent didn’t answer immediately.
Instead, he extended his left hand and from his spatial ring, summoned the arrow.
It spun into his palm, coiled like a serpent, before straightening.
The arrow was unlike anything Elder Jill had ever seen—it was alive.
Its body gleamed like molten gold, etched with faint storm runes. Along its shaft, tiny scales shimmered, and as Kent twirled it between his fingers with casual grace, the arrow emitted a soft hum—like it recognized its master.
“A living lightning weapon…” she whispered. “It feels… conscious.”
Kent chuckled lightly. “I call it Sky Breaker. It’s a fusion of my will, the divine lightning residue, and the natural force of this land.”
He tapped the arrow once, and it coiled slightly, then hissed softly before returning to stillness.
Elder Jill stared at him, truly at a loss. “Kent… you’ve only a mid earth immortal wizard. Yet you’re bending the rules of the world like a heaven immortal.”
He looked at her, calm but determined.
“It might be complicated to explain… but I have seen the pinnacle once. That’s why I have better control over elements.” he said, storing the arrow again.
She smiled faintly despite herself. “Then I suppose I’ll have to run faster to keep up. Otherwise, you would cross me one day.”
He grinned and gestured to the rest of the mountain. “Then let’s harvest before the others arrive. This valley… has just begun to awaken.”
From above, the sky cleared—golden rays piercing through layers of clouds, illuminating the sacred mountain now marked forever by Kent’s thunderous ascension.
