SUPREME ARCH-MAGUS

Chapter 692 - 692: The Beginning of War!

7th Realm… No man Island…

The sky above the land of No Man Island churned with stormy clouds as if foretelling the storm of battle to come.

The infamous magical barrier set up by Kent, that had kept intruders at bay shimmered faintly, an unbroken dome of mystic energy that mocked the armies gathered on the horizon.

On the deck of the largest warship, Jason Mama, the head of the 9 Realms Association, stood at the bow. His imposing figure cut a commanding silhouette against the dull gray sky, his ornate battle robe fluttering in the wind.

Beside him, Ryon Lionheart, the Emperor of the 7th Realm, stood with his arms crossed, his golden armor gleaming even in the dim light. His expression was hard and unyielding, his frustration barely masked.

Behind them, an army of three million wizards stretched as far as the eye could see. Among them, a portion of the legendary Forbidden Army of the 7th Realm stood like silent sentinels, their dark crimson robes contrasting sharply with the rest of the troops.

Jason glanced over his shoulder, his sharp eyes scanning the sea of soldiers. Though this was only half of the 9 Realms Association’s total strength, he was confident it was more than sufficient to seize No Man Island. The forbidden army’s presence was a testament to their might, and Jason had no doubts about their ability to crush anything that stood in their way.

“I’ve come far, Ryon,” Jason said, his voice deep and resonant. “It’s time we put a full stop to that Clark lady. We will end all our future troubles today.”

Ryon nodded but kept his gaze fixed on the shimmering barrier in the distance. “The No Man Island has already cost me half a million soldiers,” he said through gritted teeth. “If it weren’t for your support, I would’ve burned the entire place to ashes by now.”

Jason chuckled, a cold sound devoid of humor. “And waste all the fun, don’t wanna see the struggling and sobbing face of your first wife? That would be a folly even for a lion like you.” He paused and added, “Remember, The 9 Realms Association does not come to plunder—we come to take control.”

Ryon turned to face him, his eyes blazing. “Call it whatever you want, Jason. But Kent, that bastard has ties to this place, I won’t rest until I’ve crushed every trace of his presence.”

Jason waved a dismissive hand. “Let’s not jump to conclusions. Kent is already dead in the spirit world. But first, we need to bring that barrier down. The army is ready; we need only give the order.”

At Jason’s command, a series of magical cannons, enchanted siege weapons, and talismans were prepared. The atmosphere grew heavier as the troops began their chants, their voices merging into an ominous hum.

Jason raised his hand, silencing the army. “Remember this day,” he called out, his voice carrying over the waves. “Today, the 9 Realms Association and the 7th Realm’s army will shatter the myths of No Man Island. We will write our names into the annals of history! In future no other faction would dare to stand before us.”

The soldiers erupted in a roar of approval. Ryon stepped forward, his voice sharp and commanding. “For the 7th Realm! For glory!”

As the first blast of magic energy shot toward the barrier, the sky darkened further. The shimmering dome flickered under the assault, but it held firm. Another barrage followed, and then another, each strike met with stubborn resistance from the barrier.

Jason frowned. “This is stronger than I anticipated.”

Ryon barked orders to his Forbidden Army. “Unleash the Black Chains of anchors!”

From the ranks of the forbidden army, a group of elite wizards stepped forward, each holding obsidian rods that glowed with sinister energy. They chanted in unison, summoning massive chains that snaked through the air and slammed against the barrier. The resulting shockwave shook the island, and cracks began to form on the surface of the dome.

Jason smirked. “There it is. Just a little more.”

Suddenly, a burst of golden light erupted from the barrier, sending a shockwave that threw several soldiers off their feet. Jason steadied himself and looked at Ryon, his expression serious.

“It seems the island isn’t willing to go down without a fight,” Jason muttered.

Ryon growled. “Then we’ll show it the strength of the 7th Realm!”

“Ready the assault teams,” Jason commanded. “The barrier won’t last much longer. Once it falls, I want the island secured immediately. No delays, no excuses.”

The soldiers began to chant again, their combined magic creating an overwhelming surge of power. The shimmering barrier flickered violently, and with one final strike from the Black Chains, it shattered with a deafening roar.

“KRRRRRRRRRrrrrr…”

The shimmering barrier around No Man Island shattered with a final, thunderous crack, sending waves of energy rippling across the ocean.

As the fragments of the barrier dissolved into the air, Jason stepped forward, his eyes gleaming with triumph. “No Man Island is ours.”

Ryon nodded, his voice low and dangerous. “Let’s find the intruders and drag them out.”

As the dust and energy subsided, the vast combined army of the 9 Realms Association and the 7th Realm advanced cautiously, their eyes fixed on the revealed island.

But everyone came to an abrupt stop.

What lay before them was a scene that chilled even the most hardened soldiers to their cores.

At the far end of the island, a mountain of bodies—the remains of the half-million wizards from the previous assault—rose ominously into the gray sky. Blood seeped into the ground, forming dark patches that painted the barren land with death.

And at the very top of this dead body monument stood Madam Clark, her long black robes flowing in the unnatural wind. In her hand, she held a radiant staff capped with a peacock-head-shaped crystal, its glow mesmerizing yet menacing.

Her expression was one of cold amusement, her confidence unshaken despite the army arrayed before her.

“Sorry for the delay, old Ryon.”
