Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

The first prince closed his eyes, falling into deep thought.

Another man spoke up. “Your Highness. I believe we should probe this monster first. Such a monster might be hard to come by, but the fact that it gathers so many aliens around it means there’s a chance it’s a much more monstrous existence than we believe it is.”

“What do you mean?” Prince Karvanael glanced at him.

“I’m talking about the possibility of it being a warrior class mutant at the very least, if not an elite class alien.”

“Elite class?!”

“Are you joking?”

“An elite class is hard to come by. You’re expecting it to be an elite class?”

Prince Karvanael pinched the bridge of his nose. If it was an elite class alien, his father would look at him more favorably if he took it down. The problem was the cost.

If the cost was too high, it would definitely become a bad evaluation in his father’s eyes. At the same time, an opportunity like this was hard to come by.

He could probably ask for help from a world class summoner, but if he did it, his father would have heard about it. There was no telling how his father would think about his action.

“There are only two arcane level summoners here. We don’t have enough to fight against an elite class alien!” One of them shouted.

Before he could give his decision, another soldier suddenly entered the tent.

“What’s wrong?!” Prince Karvanael furrowed his eyebrows. He thought the alien had gone for him, so the report might affect his decision.

The soldier reported out loud, “Our scout has returned from the northwest direction. They said there was a massive explosion 20km (12.4 miles) in that direction.”

“!!!” The prince was astounded. This report definitely changed the nature of the event.

“Don’t tell me… This alien woke up because of that explosion? But the distance is supposed to be quite far…”

“If we think like this, it’s clear that this alien is an elite class. There’s no other explanation for such a massive body with how far it could sense.”

“But an explosion? How massive is that explosion?”

The soldier shook his head. “The scouts didn’t look at it themselves, but it was so big that the ground trembled. According to the scouts, the distance between them and the explosion was approximately 2 km (1.2 miles).”

“This is concerning. For such strength…”

“A summoner, huh?”

“A summoner with that kind of strength?”

“It should be a grandmaster, probably close to an arcane level summoner.”

“Is there any summoner like that? Do we have information from the gate?”

The officers started thinking about the approach in a different way. The problem was that they had no word about such a powerful summoner coming around them.

If it was a summoner without any affiliation, they had the chance to recruit them. If it was a summoner who wanted to mess them up, they would have to pay the price.

The first prince waved his hand. “I have made my decision. Count Einren. Bring a hundred of your men and scout that area personally. This alien might have been disturbed by that explosion, so don’t come too close to the alien.

“You have two tasks. The first one is to estimate the power level of this alien and their number. The second one is to find out the culprits.”

“Are you going to invite them, Your Highness?” Count Einren asked politely.

“If they are of any use.” The first prince nodded. “If not, they’re going to pay the price for waking up such a terrible alien.”

“I believe we should thank them instead of killing them. After all, without their help, we won’t know there’s such a massive alien hiding near our location. If such an alien comes at us without any warning, we will be in trouble.”

“We should punish them. Without them, we don’t have to worry about such a thing. Besides, our scout will eventually find out about such an alien.”

“No way. This place is still within the former defense line, so we should figure out when the alien resides in this place. If it’s before the disaster, we have to thank them because this alien could cause so much destruction without anyone knowing it the whole time.”

The first prince ignored their arguments. “I will take care of this matter here. You don’t have a lot of time. Immediately go with your men and accomplish the task.”

“Understood.” Count Einren politely accepted the order.

“But Your Highness. If we attack the aliens right now…” Duvas didn’t seem to be backing down. “If we can just hit it when it’s not expected, we can take it down, even with our current force.”

“Shut up! I have made my decision!” Prince Karvanael raised his voice. He glared at Duvas and asked coldly, “Even if we can do it, what are you going to do with the cost? Are you going to tell them this is a necessary sacrifice?

“If my father knew I made such a rash decision, even with the result, what would he think about me?

“Even if my father doesn’t say anything, do you think the others won’t think anything else?
