Chapter 1026: Unexpected Finding

“I guess this is the extent of your power,” said Bella while smashing the head of her opponent with her tobacco pipe. “With this, my first task is over. It doesn’t take me over seven minutes.”

Bella then inhaled deeply before exhaling all the smoke into the face of her opponent. Her ena leaked from her body and gradually seeped into her opponent’s body as she whispered, “Now, tell me anything you know about the alien… No, never mind. Tell me the location of the alien.”

The enemy stayed silent as though they couldn’t speak. At the last moment, he pointed in one direction before coughing up blood.

“Gah!”

“What?” Bella was taken aback and checked his condition, but with him being unconscious, there wasn’t much reaction from him.

Still, she noticed several black veins in his body. When she examined his body with her ena, she noticed that his heart ruptured and his bones dissolved. “He’s dead… What a vicious method…

“This is much more severe than what I’ve seen before… It looks like this is how they’re sealing the lips of those who know more…

“If not for Nathan, we wouldn’t be able to find out any information…” Bella still remembered how the familiars they once saved begged them to kill them so that they didn’t die as an alien.

It was such a horrifying sight, which was also the reason they invited Nathan to help them interrogate the enemies.

“Well…” Bella turned around. “I now have the direction. I should focus on my main task…”

Without hesitation, she dropped the body and started following the direction while recalling the map. She carefully moved across one corridor after another, opening every single room in the direction he had pointed earlier.

After another three minutes, she finally found it. However, the sight was something she might not be able to forget.

The room itself was huge and didn’t have much decoration. In fact, there was only one thing that stood out other than the pillars in this hall. It was the chamber on the opposite side of the room.

The chamber was made of glass. The space itself would definitely be enough to lock Fenrir in his normal form.

The chamber was filled with blue-colored liquid, and the reason for this liquid was quite clear.

There was a small valve on the corner of the chamber with a small tentacle plugging it. It looked like the tentacle was growing. It might be a bit slow, but it was certainly growing bigger.

And the source of this tentacle was a massive alien sealed inside this chamber. The alien looked like a caterpillar. The body was divided into ten sections and covered with some short tentacles.

Unlike any other aliens she had seen, this one had a faint life source, as though it could die at any moment.

“This is… the alien?” She gasped. “The tentacle is growing… Is this how they cultivate the alien they want to put into the human body?”

As if reacting to Bella’s voice, a high-pitched voice echoed inside Bella’s mind. The voice was quite low, but it was clear enough for her to understand.

“Human… Free me.”

“What?” Bella looked around, wondering who had talked to her just now.

“I’m what you’re looking at right now.”

“!!!” Bella’s body shook. Now that she thought about it, Nathan mentioned she shouldn’t engage in a talk with the alien.

At first, she just brushed off that thought because there was no way they could talk to an alien. It was a weird order, but it wasn’t big enough to argue about.

Never in her wildest dream would she imagine there was an alien who could talk in their language. She couldn’t help but wonder if Nathan had known about this the whole time or not.

She was curious and would definitely demand an explanation, but for the time being, she should stick to what Nathan asked her, which was to remain silent and ensure that the alien didn’t get hurt.

It didn’t seem the alien was strong enough to fight against her as well, so she should just stand here without responding to this alien until Nathan and the others finished.

That was what she wanted to do, but the alien definitely knew how to make her talk.

“Human… I don’t know why you don’t reply to me. If you don’t know how, you just have to mutter it inside your mind, and I can hear your reply. It will be fine if you want to speak directly. If you don’t want to talk, you have to… After all, your most precious person is going to die.”

“You…” Bella was shaken. What did the alien say again? Her precious person would die? There was only one person who could be called her precious person. It was Evelyn.

“Out of 12 people, 1 will die. However, that fate can be overturned if you want to talk to me.”

“!!!” Bella didn’t expect the alien even knew them. The twelve people he mentioned were the six people from the Sleeping Garden and six people from Nathan’s group.

How could the alien know? The alien didn’t look like he was strong enough to calculate their number.

“You…”

“I know more than you. You will be successful, but the strongest person among you will die. And it looks like that person is precious to you.”

“Shut your mouth!” Bella gritted, starting to get agitated.

“This is nothing but a prophecy. However, there is one person who might be able to change that fate. There must be someone who is so special that no matter where he goes, people will consider him special… a human who disappears even from fate itself.”

“!!!” Bella widened her eyes in shock. The person the alien mentioned was none other than Nathan. No matter where he went, he would be the unique summoner.

“Do you want to talk to me now? My life is going to be over soon. I have been waiting for that person for 500 years… And now I can finally pass on a message… Let me introduce myself.

“My name is Roggoth. I was the alien who gave the power to summon beings from another world through a human called Mikhail Havengard.”
