Strongest Warlock - Wizard World Irregular
Chapter 1104: Words Of Wisdom From A Love Expert [Part 1]Ethan didn’t know how long he slept. Then he finally opened his eyes, he found himself sitting on a boulder above a tall mountain, looking down on the mortal realm from the heavens.
The more he looked at the world, the more unfamiliar it seemed, and he soon realized it was different from the one he was used to.
The clothes of the people living below reminded him of the Lands of Alastor hundreds of years ago.
"Do you know what makes the lives of humans beautiful to watch?"
A calm yet domineering voice sounded from the young man’s right side, prompting him to glance in that direction.
There, he found a very handsome man who seemed to be in his early thirties. There was a faint smile on the other party’s face, eyes also on the mortal realm.
"Where am I?" Ethan asked. "And who are you?"
"Hahaha!" the handsome man laughed. "Asking questions as soon as you regain consciousness, huh? Well, not that I mind answering. I do have questions of my own too."
The man glanced in Ethan’s direction and smirked.
"My name is Zeus," the handsome man said. "And you are currently in Olympus—at least, the place once known as Olympus."Ethan frowned. For some reason, the name Zeus and the place Olympus sounded familiar to him.
He tried to use Mimir’s Wisdom to get some answers, but to his surprise, he couldn’t use any of his powers or legacies.
Seeing his discomfort, Zeus laughed a second time until he could not laugh any longer.
"First of all, calm down," Zeus said. "Right now, only your consciousness is here in this world. Your mind wandered off after reaching its limit. But don’t panic. There is no danger to your life."
Hearing his explanation, Ethan got to breathe a little. The handsome man then eyed the young man from head to foot before asking him a question.
"What’s your name?" Zeus asked. "It’s very rare for someone to appear here on top of Olympus."
"Ethan Gremory," Ethan replied. "I come from a world called Midgard."
"Ah… Midgard." Zeus nodded. "It’s the sister world of the world you’re seeing right now. This world’s name is called Middangeard."
Ethan once again shifted his attention to the mortal realm below him and now understood why it felt familiar yet unfamiliar at the same time.
"Do you know how I can get back to my own world?" Ethan inquired.
"Don’t worry," Zeus answered. "When the time is right, your consciousness will return to your body, and you’ll think that everything you’re experiencing right now is a dream. So, before you return to your world, let me give some words of wisdom.
"As you may have noticed, I look like a very important person, and this is a fact. All the girls love me, and I love them in return. But… having a very jealous wife as your partner can lead to many… problems."
Zeus coughed lightly. Talking about his jealous wife and his many famous romantic escapades made him remember his illustrious past.
If only the God of War didn’t force him to make an oath to never step in the mortal realm again, he might have sired children, numbering hundreds of thousands, perhaps even more.
"I can sense the aura of a King within you, Ethan," Zeus said. "And judging by your scent, you have also embraced many women, no? Oh! Don’t try to deny it. After all, it takes one to know one."
The handsome man winked at Ethan, making the latter wink back, which made the handsome man laugh a third time.
"I like you!" Zeus said, patting Ethan’s shoulder, which made the young man shudder subconsciously for unknown reasons.
’My sixth sense is telling me that this man is dangerous,’ Ethan thought as he did his best to keep the smile on his face from breaking.
Zeus, who didn’t notice anything wrong, sat cross-legged on the ground beside the boulder where Ethan was seated and looked at the mortal realm once more.
"Since fate brought us together, allow me to impart you some important advice that will be useful to you in your life," Zeus said before raising a finger.
"My first advice is, don’t take love for granted," Zeus stated. "Someone who truly loves you is rare. It doesn’t matter how many men or women love you.
"We take things for granted and only know their importance once they are lost. I learned this lesson the hard way, so I hope you take this first lesson seriously."
The handsome man sighed as he remembered a distant memory he regretted very much. Shaking off the sadness about to take root in his heart, he raised a second finger and continued his speech.
"My second advice is to control your desires," Zeus said. "Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. I mean… Back in my days, I had this favorite quote of ’if there’s a hole, there’s a way.’ Even a rock will do if you are desperate enough."
Ethan looked at Zeus, and had the strong urge to put some distance between himself and the handsome young man.
He felt that if he had lived in the same era as Zeus, he might have picked up some bad habits that would bring him to the point of no return.
The handsome man, who was not aware of what the young man was thinking, continued to give his advice.
"Don’t abuse power." Zeus smirked. "Since you are fated to be a King, you should remember that being powerful doesn’t justify bad behavior. There’s a big difference between ruling with all your subjects loving you and ruling a kingdom with all your subjects fearing you. As to what kind of King you want to be, I hope you will choose to be the former."
Ethan didn’t say anything and continued to listen to Zeus as he imparted the lessons that he had learned in his long lifetime.
"Understand real love." The smile on Zeus’s face disappeared, and was replaced by bitterness. "Love isn’t about collecting partners but about nurturing relationships with depth and meaning.
"If you tell every beautiful woman you love them, your love becomes cheap. The easier it is to get, the less valuable it is. But, if you’re just looking for a one night stand… Well, telling someone you love them works six out of ten times.
"However, if you’re handsome like me, it works ten out of ten times. And since you’re only slightly below my level, I’m sure you’ll be fine… probably." Continue reading at
Ethan was certain that if Sebastian and his Other Half were here, they would certainly become good buddies with Zeus because they were of the same breed.
However, the handsome man was still not finished in giving his advice, so Ethan simply listened. Anyway, it seemed he wouldn’t be able to leave Mount Olympus until Zeus finished telling him everything that he wanted to tell him.
