Chapter 107: Weep Weep

On the wasteland under the sunset, Su Bai rode a Gray Wolf which looked like a Samoyed dog. The cub sat in his arms, while Chen Rouxue sat behind him. She was hugging his waist while her chin rested on his shoulder with her cheek pressed against his ear.

Big Demon circled overhead, holding a lollipop in its little paw which it licked from time to time while crying happily.

The Gray Wolf’s eyes showed humiliation and anger, but it still ran on the wasteland without a word. It knew that it might be killed at any time if it disobeyed.

“Sigh... We might have to sleep in the wild today. Fortunately, I packed a tent in my backpack.” Chen Rouxue sighed. They could not possibly rush back at this time, and the Bloodthirsty Vines’ gathering spot was not safe right now, either. It was better to just find a relatively safer spot in the wilderness.

“It’s okay. Anywhere is the same for me as long as I’m with you.” Su Bai grinned. “Since that’s the case, let’s take another road back to the spatial gate. It’ll be good to explore the wild on our way back and obtain some experience.

“For now, let’s hurry up and find a safer place to camp so that we can spend the night.”

“Ah, when did you become such a sweet-talker?”

“I’m not; I was just telling the truth.”

“Okay, then. I believe you.” Chen Rouxue hugged Su Bai’s waist tightly and pointed to a distant hill with a wide view. “I think that place seems suitable for camping as it has an open view of the surroundings. Even if there are monsters, we’ll be able to discover them quickly.”

“I think it’s pretty good. Let’s camp there for the night then.”

Su Bai nodded and mobilized the Gray Wolf to head in that said direction.

“Howl~”

Purple Jade howled softly and whipped out a vine whip. When it took back the vine whip, a lively white rabbit was already bound by it. Ah Bai, I wanna eat this rabbit tonight.

“No problem; this rabbit is so cute. You can barbecue it later.” Su Bai touched the shivering bunny and concurred.

They quickly reached the hill while on the wolf’s back and found a good camping spot. Su Bai released the Little Tyrant from his contract book to start a campfire.

With their pets, it was easy to build their campsite. The cub first used its Vegetation Sensing to mark the nearby vegetation so that any monster attack could be detected at once. The Little Tyrant leveled out a ten-square-meter area, while Su Bai took out a tent and set it up.

After letting the Little Tyrant raise a bonfire, he wrapped the prepared pheasant slathered in bean paste and three rabbits up in leaves before covering them with a layer of soil to bake in the fire.

“Weep weep...”

He caught a poor prickly cactus monster which could only weep and cut off its roots to provide fresh and fragrant water for their consumption.

“Give it a taste; I promise that it’ll satisfy you.” Su Bai handed a cup of cactus juice to his girlfriend. The juice was light green with a special fragrance and tasted slightly sweet.

“Wow, it tastes good. Let’s take this cactus monster with us, then we’ll be able to drink this delicious juice all the time.”

Chen Rouxue took a sip and praised.

The cactus monster: “Weep weep...”

It was suddenly full of malice; it was just a little cactus uninvolved in worldly affairs.

Su Bai served the cub and Big Demon each an extra bowl of soup. Meanwhile, the Little Tyrant was not interested in the juice.

“Howl! (╯▽╰)”

“Hehe! (?ω?)”

The two pets showed admiration after drinking their soups. They cut off the roots of the cactus monster without hesitation and took another bowl.

Bowl after bowl, the prickly cactus monster’s juice gradually lessened before eventually disappearing.

“Hehe?”

Big Demon squeezed the cactus monster and looked at it. Where are your juices? Release it fast; I wanna drink some more.

The cactus monster: “Weep weep...”

It really did not have any drop of juice left.

“Howl! (* ?) ?*)”

It was the cub’s turn to shine.

As if it was nothing, the cub planted the prickly cactus monster on the ground and infused it with wood spiritual power. After a while, its withered appearance turned plump, and its juice was replenished.

Instead of being happy, the poor cactus monster felt desperate.

“The barbecued rabbit is cooked.”

Su Bai dug up the barbecued food and patted it to spread its enticing fragrance. The Little Tyrant rushed over and gnawed on the rabbit.

The cub and Xiao Bai also took the other two rabbits, while Su Bai shared the beggar chicken[1] with his girlfriend.

“It’s delicious and so perfect with this juice.” Chen Rouxue tore a chicken leg, took a bite, and fed it to him.

“Sure enough, a good-looking pheasant tastes better.” He praised after taking a sip of juice.

“Xiao Bai, let me wipe my hands on you.” Chen Rouxue reached out her glistening oily hands while eating.

As they dined joyously with their pets, the sun quietly rested in the west, and a blood moon appeared above, illuminating the brilliant starry sky.

“Is this the Milky Way’s starry sky? We can’t see such a wonderful starry sky on Blue Planet.”

On the ground outside the tent, the couple lay next to each other on a straw mat made of vines and looked up at the starry sky.

“I think so. The space cracks are also merging into Blue Planet.”

Su Bai nodded. Such a starry sky was indeed unseen on Blue Planet thanks to the serious light pollution, but it looked absolutely beautiful here.

Accompanied by the singing of insects and birds at night, Su Bai held Chen Ruoxue in his right arm as he stroked the cub nestled in his left arm. The Little Tyrant sat on the ground as it gnawed on an ore, while Xiao Bai flew above freely.

Happiness and satisfaction filled his heart, causing him to hug the girl and the cub more tightly.

They both nestled into him more securely in response.

The night was long, and after seeing enough of the starry sky and the Milky Way, Su Bai took his girlfriend and their pets back into the tent. The small tent seemed a little crowded, so he hugged Chen Rouxue’s waist tightly to bring her closer. The two whispered to each other before finally falling asleep amid the silent mountains and rivers.

...

One day later, in the afternoon, a boy and a girl walked out of the Blood Moon Bar. Compared to when they first entered, their aura was much more stable, and their eyes also exuded an inexplicable sense of maturity.

“Let’s go to my master’s training base first to find my senior brother, Liu Xinghe,” suggested Su Bai.

In fact, they could also handle the matter at the Blue Moon Cultivation House, but after thinking about it, Su Bai still decided to find his senior because he had another thing to ask for help with.

“Okay.”

They called a rental bird and soon arrived at his master’s cultivation base. Su Bai gave Liu Xinghe a phone call and he soon came over to open the door.

“Junior brother, did you go to the wilderness? The Scarlet Monster Wilderness?”

Liu Xinghe looked at him and asked with a smile.

“Brother, have you been there, too?” asked back Su Bai curiously.

“Of course. In fact, many people have been there. All that needs to be done there is to trust no one. If you encounter someone who’s malicious to you, you must act first,” advised his senior brother before turning around to bring them into the hall.

“These are the treasures we dug inside this time. I think everything can be exchanged for money. How much do you think it’ll be in total?”

“It’s quite a lot; let me see.” Liu Xinghe looked at the various treasures in surprise. His junior brother had actually obtained so many in the wilderness.

“These six Earth Hammer skill jades are very rare, and one can be sold for at least one or two million. Six of them can easily be sold for at least ten million. The other things are worth two to three hundred thousand. I think the total will be around fifteen million.”

“So expensive? These skill jades are so valuable?” The couple was shocked.

“Of course. Extremely high-cap skill jades are very popular. If not for the fact that these Earth Hammer skill jades are restricted to the mother earth, they would fetch more.”

He nodded.

“Then could I please trouble you to take care of selling these, senior brother? Other than that, I have another thing to trouble you with. Do you know where a large number of low-level monsters of different races can be slaughtered?” asked Su Bai.

“If you want to kill low-level monsters of different races, then you can find insects. There are countless types and terrifying numbers of them. I remember the ruins in Chinese Redbud Monster Wilderness, where countless insect monsters rush out every day. It’s impossible to kill all of them.

“However, you need a professional Pet Tamer certificate to enter that wilderness. If you’re just a trainer, it’ll be difficult to apply for it. Plus, with your current strength, it’s hard to handle the overwhelming sea of insects,” said Liu Xinghe thoughtfully.

“Insect ruins... I see. Thank you, senior brother.” Su Bai nodded, thinking things would be easier now that he knew about the place.

As for entering the wilderness, he also had a way. The final selection of the Cannes juvenile team was at the end of June, and as long as he became an official member, he would have the opportunity to enter.

“Senior brother, I’ll give you this Earth Hammer skill jade. Thank you for helping me out; I don’t know what else I can do to show my gratitude.”

He picked up a skill jade packed in a crystal box and handed it to Liu Xinghe. He could not ask for a favor and not give anything in return.

“Take it back; I don’t lack skill jades, let alone money. If you really want to show your gratitude, just collect Blood Curses for me. Recently, I’ve been studying the profound principles in those.”

Liu Xinghe smiled and patted Su Bai on the shoulder. Although he did not accept the gift, he was still very satisfied with this junior brother of his. At the very least, he was easy to get along with.

“Okay, then. I have two Blood Curses in my backpack.”

Su Bai quickly took out the two blood seal balls from his backpack, where the spheres of blood were wiggling crazily inside.

“Okay, I’ll consider these two things as your gift. They’re both not bad.

“Tell me your bank card number for me to transfer the money. Selling these will take two or three days at most.” Liu Xinghe accepted the two Blood Curses and nodded in satisfaction.

“Okay, then. We’ll leave first, senior brother.”

Su Bai left with Chen Rouxue.

“It was so profitable this time; we earned fifteen million at one go. We won’t have to go to the wilderness again for a month and can use that time to improve our pets’ strength.”

Chen Rouxue smiled happily on the road.

“It’s not convenient for us to enter the wilderness, anyway, since we have to compete for a spot in the juvenile team.” Su Bai nodded, thinking that they would not visit the wilderness this June.

“Let’s go to the Blue Moon Cultivation House and then return home. I’ll give Brother Hou some stuff and buy some materials while I’m at it to make a nutrient solution for supplementing the two pet eggs’ origin,” he said.

He wanted to give Hou Lan the excellent and rare seeds he found in the Bloodthirsty Vine Bazaar and in the Thousand Chance City’s ruins.

The reasons why he wanted to give them to that man were, first, to maintain their relationship and, second, he wanted to thank him for giving him a Purgatory Tyrant egg as Hou Lan was interested in unique spiritual plants.

When they arrived at the Blue Moon Cultivation House, Hou Jie was still in school. Su Bai left a planted orchid in her office and wrote a note to inform her that it was from him and Chen Rouxue.

After that, he went to the backyard to find Hou Lan. There, he gave him a few of the ancient spiritual seeds that he did not need.

“These are Three Logs seeds; thank you so much!”

Hou Lan looked at the seeds and quickly thanked him, happy to see so many spiritual seeds that he did not have.

“No need to thank me. We’ll take our leave now.”

Su Bai shook his head and smiled, then he left with Chen Rouxue.

“We’re here. I’ll get out now.”

Back in Carp Town, Su Bai alighted from the cab.

“See you in school!”

Chen Rouxue nodded and left in the taxi.

“Howl?”

Ah Bai, are we going straight home?

The cub bounced around him.

“No, we have to go to Baiyue Manor first.” He shook his head, intending to plant the Bloodthirsty Spear Bush and some other seeds there.

Baiyue Manor was the name of his family’s large manor.

With the Little Tyrant and the cub, he returned home on an electric scooter before he headed to Baiyue Manor.

After sending his parents a message, he went straight to his Azure Dragon Mound. The villa had not been built here yet, and only the foundation had been laid.

However, the spiritual fields around the Azure Dragon Mound had already been irrigated with spiritual water by his parents, so it looked very fertile.

“You two, go hunt some monsters outside the manor; any grade is fine.”

Su Bai tidied up the spiritual field and instructed.

“Howl!”

After the two pets ran out happily, he dug the spiritual field. He then took out small shield generators and installed one on all four corners of the circular field.

Such small shield generators were not expensive. They could absorb spiritual power between the heavens and earth alone but did not have much defensive power and were mainly used for occlusion. The solar air could flow through them easily, but no one could see what seeds were planted inside.

Since the Bloodthirsty Spear Bush was a blood plant, he was a little more cautious.

After installing the shield generators, he planted a spirit crystal and gave it a try. After ensuring that there was no problem, he planted the Bloodthirsty Spear Bush.

“Howl~”

Ah Bai, aren’t I impressive?

“Roar~”

The Little Tyrant contributed a lot, too.

Soon, the two pets returned with five low-level servant Black-haired Boars tied using gigantic vines.

“You two are amazing. Bring them over and help me plant the Bloodthirsty Spear Bush.” Su Bai praised both.
