Chapter 3664: Take Care

Lu Yin already knew that Ru Guo had served as Yue Ya’s representative at Yong Heng’s side for some time, but Yue Ya had not let Ru Guo learn about his request for Yong Heng’s key to the Gate of Laws. Instead, he had sent Ge Yao even though she was the representative for communicating with Lu Yin. Clearly, Yue Ya was purposefully not informing Ru Guo.

Ru Guo was constantly monitoring Spirit Nidus, so it was impossible for him to not know about the keys to the Gate of Laws. This made it clear that Yue Ya did not want Ru Guo to know about the matter. As soon as the man learned this information, things would turn unpredictable.

Ge Yao helplessly answered, “If the High Seraph were willing to obey, then there would be no need to replace him. He refused Lesser Sancte Yue Ya’s request for the key. If you truly need it, then you can obtain it after defeating the High Seraph, Lord Seraph Lu.”

“What about the other one?”

“Yong Heng has joined forces with Ru Guo. Lord Lesser Sancte Yue Ya has recently destroyed the Ru family, and they hate us terribly right now. It is also impossible to obtain the key from Yong Heng. However, we can give you his location, Lord Seraph Lu.”

Lu Yin’s eyes flickered. Does Yue Ya still not know that Yong Heng has been working with me? His people’s efficiency is atrocious. Apparently, they were so busy gathering spirit seeds and searching for materials that they had no time to do anything else. What a surprising bit of good news.

“So, my request can’t be met,” Lu Yin stated irritably.

Ge Yao met his gaze. “If you are willing to change your request, we will do our best to accomplish it, Lord Seraph Lu.”

Lu Yin thought for a moment. “I want Heavenspire.”

Ge Yao was startled. “You want what?”

“Heavenspire,” Lu Yin repeated.

Ge Yao just stared at Lu Yin, not knowing what to say.

He continued, “Since Lesser Sancte Yue Ya has already wiped out the Ru family, Heavenspire is essentially under his control. Giving me Heavenspire wouldn’t be too excessive, and it’s well within his abilities.”

Ge Yao thought for a moment. “Allow me to speak to Lesser Sancte Yue Ya about this.”

“Go ahead.”

Some time later, Ge Yao arrived at the Ascendant Hall, and she entered Heavenspire. She was greeted by a dark-golden light.

Showing the utmost respect, Ge Yao dropped to her knees. “To report, Master, Lu Yin requests Heavenspire.”

“Heavenspire?”

“Yes. He said that since Master has exterminated the Ru family, Heavenspire can be given to him. This is easily accomplished.”

“Hmph, he has quite the appetite. I need to pay for destroying the Ru family. Aside from them, no one can truly control Heavenspire... If he wants it, fine. I’ll give it to him. Tell him that I agree and have him come here.”

Ge Yao acknowledged her orders, immediately left Heavenspire, and then returned to the Spirit Nidus.

In the Ascendant Hall, within the Apex Palace, the High Seraph watched Ge Yao enter and leave repeatedly. His expression remained calm, though his eyes seemed to be watching a clown.

Meanwhile, in the distant depths of Heavenspire, at the center of the region that had once belonged to the Ru family, the place that had once been home to those like Ru Guo was now being occupied by Cheng Gong.

An unusual disturbance was currently occurring there.

One by one, ancient spirit treasures shot into the sky, where they moved to form a ring. At the center of the spirit treasures, the void froze before continuing to shift about.

Cheng Gong arrived, and he observed the phenomenon for a while before raising a hand, pointing one finger forward, and drawing something.

In the Spirit Nidus’s Wisdom Domain, there was a similar ring of spirit treasures in front of Old Yu, and the void at the center was also continuously shifting.

After some time, the spirit treasures all fell to the ground. Old Yu’s face was pale, as though he had just exhausted himself.

In Heavenspire, Cheng Gong’s complexion was looking much better than Old Yu’s, though he was also a bit pale, and his brow had deep furrows. He turned and bowed to the sky. “A report for Lesser Sancte Yue Ya.”

Dark golden light shone down on the man. “What is it?”

His expression solemn, Cheng Gong explained, “The Wisdom Domain’s Old Yu has sent word that Yong Heng and Lu Yin have been cooperating.”

“What?” Yue Ya roared in fury. “Lies! It was all lies! It’s no wonder why Yong Heng refused to help Ru Guo before, and why Lu Yin has refused to visit Heavenspire! He’s been suspicious this entire time, which is why he kept requesting more resources from me. It was all nothing more than a sham!”

Cheng Gong was also in a terrible mood. This meant that there was no way to trick Lu Yin into going to the Morrow Behemoth’s hand. Yue Ya’s scheme had failed.

How could they deal with Lu Yin now?

He was truly cunning and had even chosen to ally with a lifelong enemy. Why? What was his goal? Had he already known that Yue Ya was targeting him? If so, how? There was so much that Lu Yin knew that he should not have.

What enraged Yue Ya the most was that he had just agreed to give Heavenspire to Lu Yin in order to lure him over. That bastard has been treating me like a clown all along! I already gave him the spirit seeds and materials.

The dark-gold light continued to flash and flicker, and the pressure rose until no one in the universe could even breathe.

After a while, the dark-gold light finally calmed back down.

“Did you receive this news from the Wisdom Domain?”

Cheng Gong replied, “From Old Yu himself.”

“What is the Wisdom Domain’s intention?”

Cheng Gong said, “Surely, Old Yu must be intending to join us.”

“We don’t need him to join us. Instead, have him submit to Boundless.”

Cheng Gong was taken aback. “Submit to Boundless?”

Yue Ya’s voice dropped low, “Lu Yin wants Heavenspire, so I’ll give it to him. Let’s see if he has the courage to come claim it!

“Have the Wisdom Domain submit to him. Then, release rumors across the Spirit Nidus that he is the invincible being’s disciple and that he came here from the Tianyuan Megaverse in order to replace the High Seraph.”

Cheng Gong understood. This was no different from flattering someone to death. Lu Yin and Yong Heng were cooperating, but at most, Lu Yin only knew that Yue Ya was trying to lure him to the Morrow Behemoth’s hand. Even so, Lu Yin merely considered that place to be the entrance to Heavenspire, and he did not know what lay on the other side of the entrance. For all that Lu Yin knew, it might even be something beneficial. After all, his suspicions were from his years of experience.

With the Wisdom Domain submitting to him and Heavenspire being given to him, Lu Yin’s wariness would drop, and he would also be placed squarely in opposition to the High Seraph.

Yue Ya’s plan was not complicated or particularly inspired. All that could be said was that, while most people would be able to see through such a scheme, it took advantage of human nature.

Becoming the invincible being’s disciple and replacing the High Seraph were the wildest dreams of the Spirit Nidus’s inhabitants. Even if Lu Yin was a Tianyuan cultivator, it did not matter. Cheng Gong stared up at the stars. Countless years had passed without the Nine Odysseys Megaverse’s Lesser Sancti ever needing to employ schemes. A single word from those experts had been enough to decide any matter in the Spirit Nidus for as long as he could remember. But after all that time, Lu Yin had succeeded in actually cornering Yue Ya. If he was pressed any further, Yue Ya would actually enter the Spirit Nidus. If the Lesser Sancte continued to fail, Cheng Gong would be the one sacrificial lamb.

Yue Ya left, and Cheng Gong turned around. He stared at the ring of spirit treasures. After a moment, he raised a hand. The spirit treasures drifted back into the air as the man manipulated them with a solemn expression.

It took an enormous cost to communicate between the Wisdom Domain and Heavenspire. Few could afford it, but to deal with Lu Yin and avenge his son, Cheng Gong would pay anything.

A few days later, news was released that shook the entire Spirit Nidus.

Lu Yin was the invincible being’s disciple, and he had left the Tianyuan Megaverse for only one purpose: to replace the High Seraph and become the Spirit Nidus’s ruler.

No one knew where the rumors came from, but it almost instantly spread across the entire Spirit Nidus. It reached everyone who was a part of the seven major powers and the Ascendant Hall, and all who learned of the matter were badly shaken by it.

People were absolutely dumbfounded; was this even possible?

It was said that Seraph Lu has cultivated for less than a thousand years, which makes him much younger than even me, and yet he is as strong as the High Seraph himself. There were also people who believed that the High Seraph was capable of resetting the Tianyuan Megaverse at any time, which would push him into the Immortal realm. With that, even the invincible being would struggle to replace the High Seraph.

Arguments raged back and forth, the debate continuing endlessly.

That changed when yet another bit of news was released, and this piece left everyone dumbfounded.

The Wisdom Domain had submitted to Boundless.

The Wisdom Domain represented the entire history of the Spirit Nidus, as well as its future. In fact, it even represented the invincible being.

The Wisdom Domain held the ultimate authority concerning resource allocation and planning out the entire Spirit Nidus’s path of cultivation. While the High Seraph had used his authority to forbid any Seraph from rising from the Wisdom Domain, not even that was enough to diminish the Wisdom Domain’s prestige in the Spirit Nidus.

At the very least, even the Seven Seraphs needed to announce themselves and be granted permission before entering the Wisdom Domain. Only the Ascendant Hall in the Spirit Nidus was also given such respect.
